1995 Dodge Neon Sedan 4 Door White 2.0 Liter 5 Speed on 2040-cars
Pompano Beach, Florida, United States
The vehicle has a clear title and I will sign needed paperwork. You will sign my selling contract that you purchased the vehicle, date, price, and that I am no longer responsible for it. You'll need you're own insurance. You're also responsible to pick up, tow, drive, the vehicle from the property (not just parts of it). Again, While this car has seen better days cosmetically, the a/c, manual transmission, heater, cruise control all work great. The car was running fantastically, but now, after a while, the check engine light comes on and it begins to run a bit rough. I'll start it every few weeks and run it for a while just to run it around and keep things moving. The paint is shot. Yes, it was repainted via white rustoleum spray cans. The dashboard was cracked ad has been very basically repaired and covered in material. The headliner is gone, but replaced with 1/2 inch foam insulation. The automatic windows do not work. The power locks sometime work. There cassette player/radio does not work. The rear passenger window does not do down. When it ran, it ran really well. It could simply be a vacuum line, a dirty fuel filter, or anything else. This could be great for parts, or, once running, this car zips along very well and is very solid/straight/no vibrating, etc. It does not leak oil and has around 124,000+ miles on it. This car was kept as a backup emergency car, but I'm getting rid of it as I no longer really use it and do not want to insure it any longer. It was hit in a parking lot some time ago but did not effect the driveability - purely cosmetic - but the car isn't all that cosmetically looking anyway! The auction needs to be paid within 24hours of closing or it will be relisted. |

NHTSA probing Ram recall pace, communication
Tue, 28 Oct 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that it's looking into Chrysler Group's handling of a pair of recalls affecting roughly one million Ram pickup trucks. Reuters is reporting that the regulatory agency is focusing on the availability (or lack thereof) of parts and "poor communications" from the automaker in its investigation.
"Customers have been advised in accordance with the regulations governing recalls," Chrysler spokesman Eric Mayne told Reuters via email. "We are continually replenishing our supply of replacement parts. Chrysler Group regrets any inconvenience our customers may have experienced."
NHTSA disagrees, arguing that the recalls, which affect 972,000 trucks from 2003 to 2012, are being delayed by the lack of parts.
2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has 707 glorious horsepower [w/video]
Tue, 01 Jul 2014Hold onto your butts. "600-plus horsepower" is what we were told to expect from the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with its 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 engine. But as we've just learned, those were incredibly conservative numbers. Dodge has officially announced that the range-topping Challenger will hit the asphalt with 707 - seven hundred and seven - horsepower, making it the "most powerful muscle car ever."
Of course, 707 hp is only part of the story, as the Hellcat has also been confirmed to produce 650 pound-feet of torque. All that power will run exclusively to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission that differs from other Challengers. The new gearbox, 8HP90 (rather than the 8HP70) is "upgraded to handle the extra power and torque," says Dan Reid, SRT's manager of product design and motorsports.
We certainly hope you're prepared to spend a ton of money replacing tires.
Will Dodge limit 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat to 1,200 units?
Sun, 20 Jul 2014With over 700 horsepower on tap and a price tag barely over $60k, Dodge appears on paper to have a winner on its hands with the new Challenger SRT Hellcat. But if you want to get your hands on one, you may have to act quicker than this most powerful of muscle cars covers the quarter-mile.
That's because, according to our compatriots over at Edmunds, Dodge may limit production - in the first year, at least - to just 1,200 units. That would amount to barely a quarter of the Challengers that Dodge moves each month, and would also mean only one Hellcat for every two Dodge dealers in the US - which could lead to some serious contention over which stores and which customers can get their hands on the ultimate Challenger.
Reached for comment, SRT spokesman Dan Reid told Autoblog that "there is no plan to limit production of the Challenger Hellcat," echoing the words of Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis who told Edmunds: "We don't know what the market demand is." Which doesn't mean that it won't restrict production, but doesn't mean that it will, either. It just hasn't decided yet - or announced any such decision, at any rate - over what will be the final allocation strategy for what could be a game-changing muscle car. That is, at least, until new versions of the Mustang and Camaro come along in pursuit of Dodge's bragging rights...
