I am not exactly sure if the engine is SOHC or DOHC so if that is important to you, PLEASE be sure to check with me, and in the meantime I am going to try to find out.

The vehicle has a clear title BUT I do not know where I put it.  I will sign whatever paperwork is needed for you to obtain title, at your/winning bidder's expense, and you need to follow up on it.

The car ran as of a couple of months ago. I did not start it today when deciding to list it, and I suppose with such an old vehicle that could change at any time anyway.

I have been keeping this car as a back-up emergency car, but decided to get rid of it since I don't want to pay the insurance on it any longer.  It always ran great when I was using it regularly, even after it was in a slight accident (another driver hit my vehicle on the rear passenger side, as can be seen in pictures.  I decided not to repair it at the time.  Repeat, this vehicle has been in an accident.

The car is old and rusty and not the original paint.  The plastic inside is old and cracked.  It has front power windows, but they no longer work.  Power locks do not work either.  Cassette player/radio does not work.  Air conditioner never really worked, that is probably the newest area in the vehicle as I had it replaced a few times, along with many engine components.  Air bags, I never had a chance to try out the airbags, but they are so old they probably don't work either.  Cruise control, I had that repaired 6 years ago (give or take 2 years) and did not use it often so not sure if it worked the last few years or not.

I would say the only reasons to purchase this vehicle is for spare parts, and the parts I think may be salvageable are engine parts and manual transmission.  But I am no expert so don't take my opinion as fact.  Feel free to ask any questions, which I will try to answer as best I can.

The auction needs to be paid within 24 hours of closing else the transaction is null and void and I will re-list.

eGarage interviews a couple with 65 Vipers

Thu, 12 Sep 2013

Owning multiple vehicles can be a hassle worth enjoying if you're willing to spend the time and the money required to acquire and maintain them. But when it's hard to make ends meet while underused valuable hunks of metal, plastic and rubber sit happily taking up garage space, journeys into the depths of other people's well-developed automotive obsessions will either bring you and your cars closer together, or compel you to sell them off before you become one of those fanatics. A recent video by eGarage is one of those journeys, and it's not for the faint of heart: D'Ann and Wayne Rauh own 65 Dodge and SRT Vipers in a collection of automobiles that exceeds 100.
We're not sure if the couple has developed heat-resistant calves from stepping over Viper door sills made burning-hot by side-exhaust pipes, but we wouldn't be surprised if they did. We did learn that their obsession with the no-holds-barred sports car started in 2006 with a trip to a dealership to buy just one Viper, which goes to show how innocently car obsessions can start. But the Rauhs seem to be doing just fine - perhaps better - 64 more Vipers later.
Watch the video below for the full story and to see what eGarage claims is the world's largest Viper collection.

Dodge introduces new tech into its 2016 pursuit vehicles that even Jake and Elwood couldn't outrun. Autoblog's Adam Morath reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Dodge introduces new tech into its 2016 pursuit vehicles that even Jake and Elwood couldn't outrun. I'm Adam Morath and this is your Autoblog Minute. The 2016 Dodge Charger Pursuit vehicles are getting Uconnect 12.1. The system's new laptop size touch screen will be dash mounted and at 12.1" is 5 times larger than the current Uconnect 5.0 system. Features of Uconnect 12.1 [00:00:30] include an all-new drag and drop menu bar and Siri Eyes Free. No clunky laptops needed because the system is ergonomically located in the dash. The SRT pursuit vehicles will also be getting 370 hp, factory-installed Mopar upfit packages and an advanced all-wheel-drive system for maximum tactical performance, all-weather traction and fuel-efficiency. [00:01:00] It's clear that the new Charger pursuit vehicles have all the best tech available from Dodge but one important question remains: Do these cruisers got S.C.M.O.D.S.? For Autoblog, I'm Adam Morath. Autoblog Minute is a short-form video news series reporting on all things automotive. Each segment offers a quick and clear picture of what's happening in the automotive industry from the perspective of Autoblog's expert editorial staff, auto executives, and industry professionals. Junkyard Gem: 2005 Dodge Neon AAR

Sun, Oct 20 2019

Chrysler sold the Neon in North America for the 1995 through 2005 model years, with respectable sales for most of that period. The Neon had decent power for the price, and could be very quick on a road course in the hands of a good driver. With so many made, the Neon came to have a strong aftermarket for performance and customizing components, and many owners opted to spruce up their cars for added coolness. Here's a last-year-of-production Dodge Neon SXT with some SRT-4 body components and aftermarket "AAR" stripes, spotted in a self-service yard in Fargo, N.D. Chrysler sold AAR-badged Plymouth 'Cudas in 1970, inspired by Dan Gurney's All American Racers team in SCCA racing, and the stripes on those cars looked great. However, no factory-made AAR Neons ever came off the assembly line, so the owner of this car applied these aftermarket stripes. The VIN tells me it's an ordinary Neon SXT. The SRT-4 hood looks mean. While this car does have a proper manual transmission, its power came from a distinctly non-SRT naturally-aspirated 2.0-liter 16-valve engine. With 132 horses, this car would have been reasonably quick. Brake calipers look better with the application of a little spray paint. Someone loved this car very much, so it made me sad to see it among all the rust victims of Fargo. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences.
