For sale as-is my 2006 Dodge Magnum SXT with the 3.5 V6 Engine. I wish they still made the Magnums because these cars definitely stand out, with the sloping roof line, long body, and wide/low stance.

Asking $10,700 for Buy-It-Now Price but willing to hear similar and close offers as well (Competitively priced to sell fast! Check Kelly Blue Book Value!)

The vehicle is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. 30 Minutes away from Detroit Metro Airport. (If traveling from another state and you require flying instead of driving, I can meet you and bring the car to you at the airport.)

This car has been my baby but I must sell it for financial reasons. I am the second owner and it has 79,XXX miles (my daily driver) on it and it has been mostly smooth, highway miles. Other than the routine oil change and routine maintenance repairs, this car is a steady workhorse and has never had any major issues. Since I'm a gear head, I make sure the engine oil is changed every 3,000 miles, tires rotated, and the paint stays clean constantly. The brakes are excellent and are about 65% life. The car has been de-badged and has an SRT Design (Not an SRT8) Emblem. It has been in only one accident with no structural damage at all (minor damage, fender and front bumper replaced, Information from Car Fax which I can provide on hand). The red paint amazingly shines, but there are some small scratches on the lift-gate and the front bumper. The front bumper on the bottom also has a small paint chip which is barely noticeable, and the grille has some minor scratches as well. The lower right fog light is slightly cracked as well, but you could never tell, unless you look for it specifically! All in all, this car shines and you can't tell these see these small scratches at all. Everywhere I go, people stare at this car! The interior is in awesome shape. The driver side window control panel sags a little, but beyond that the interior is flawless. This car is great on the highway and is a great car for anyone, especially the family (road trips), but with a sense of style that really stands out among the masses!

Fiat/PSA's dominance in small vans hangs up EU's merger approval

Mon, Jun 8 2020

BRUSSELS — EU antitrust regulators are concerned about Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot / PSA's combined high market share in small vans and may require concessions to clear their $50 billion merger, people familiar with the matter said. The companies, which are seeking to create the world's fourth biggest carmaker, were told of the European Commission's concerns last week. If Fiat and PSA fail to dispel the European Commission's doubts in the next two days and subsequently decline to offer concessions by Wednesday, the deadline for doing so, the deal would face a four-month-long investigation. The EU competition enforcer, which has set a June 17 deadline for its preliminary review, declined to comment. Fiat was not immediately available for comment while PSA had no immediate comment. Hiving off overlapping businesses, usually a regulatory demand to ensure more competition, could prove tricky for the carmakers because of the technicalities. Fiat and PSA are looking to merge to help offset slowing demand and shoulder the cost of making cleaner vehicles to meet tougher emissions regulations. The deal puts under one roof the Italian carmaker's brands such as Fiat, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Maserati and the French company's Peugeot, Opel and DS. FCA's shifter fiasco proves novel gear selectors are a bad idea

Tue, Feb 9 2016

What's wrong with PRNDL? Why are automakers trying to overly complicate the simple task of selecting gears? If there's any lesson to learn from the recent news that NHTSA is investigating 853,000 Fiat Chrysler vehicles over its problematic gear selectors, it's that the trend of fancy shifters needs to stop. Now. Last year, NHTSA opened an investigation into Jeep Grand Cherokee models, and has now expanded this probe to include the 2012-14 Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger. The problem? The shifter – assembled by ZF – is confusing for many drivers. "Testing ... indicates that operation of the (electronic) shifter is not intuitive and provides poor tactile and visual feedback to the driver, increasing the potential for unintended gear selection," a NHTSA document states. More than 100 crashes and over a dozen injuries are linked to this problem, according to The Detroit Free Press. To us, the problem isn't just limited to FCA. These unnecessarily novel gear selectors are spreading like wildfire across the industry. Honda and Acura use a weird pushbutton setup. Lincolns have buttons on the dashboard. Jaguar's shifter electronically raises out of the center console. Mercedes uses a stalk with up-for-Reverse, down-for-Drive, push-for-Neutral arrangement. And what the hell is BMW thinking with its M cars? FCA has since abandoned the confusing shifters in question. The 300, Charger, and Grand Cherokee now use the rotary shift dial that's quickly proliferating across the company's brands. Simplistic gear selectors might not be sexy, but no one ever complained about not being able to find the right gear in a Hyundai Sonata. What's most interesting is that this NHTSA investigation could push FCA – and possibly other automakers – to redesign vehicle functions that otherwise operate as designed. Just because most people will never have a problem putting a Dodge Charger in Reverse doesn't mean there isn't a flaw with the design. But perhaps a more simplistic solution – good ol' PRNDL – would have prevented these issues from the start. 2014 Dodge Durango Ron Burgundy ads already have 2.7M views [w/videos]

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

The guy who once made the Dodge Stratus a punchline of sorts is now a spokesman for the 2014 Dodge Durango, and the move appears to be paying off handsomely for Dodge. Will Ferrell, acting as 1970s-era TV news personality Ron Burgundy, has teamed up with the automaker for co-branded advertisements between the refreshed 2014 Durango and Ferrell's new movie, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Like Ferrell's fictional character, the ads are outrageous, flamboyant and a bit random. They're also successful: Automotive News says that more than 2.7 million people have already watched the videos since they debuted on October 5.
Those views are similar to the numbers that AN's top viral video of the year (e.g. Volkswagen's "Get Happy" Super Bowl ad) received, but there will eventually be as many as 70 videos comprising the Burgundy-Durango spots. According to the report, the videos were created primarily as a viral campaign online, although some are airing on television, too. For Dodge's part, the cost of the videos was significantly lower than a usual television campaign thanks to the fact that Ferrell wasn't paid for the spots since they were made in cooperation with promotional efforts for his new movie.
We've already posted a few of the videos in our previous post, but scroll down for several more - and head over to Adweek for a little added background on how these spots came to be.
