2005 Dodge Magnum Sxt Wagon 4-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
Mableton, Georgia, United States
We are Ford Performance Specialists Inc. We specialize in Fords and Ford Products. That said, we are offering up for auction this Dodge Magnum that belongs to a customer friend of ours who is deployed in Kawait. His father owned this car since new and recently passed. We checked this car out and took the pictures. If you have any questions, please e-mail us. It IS up on some local boards, so we reserve the right to pull the auction. The body is in really good condition, but does show it's miles. There are some stone chips and a door dong ot three. There is a pretty good scratch on the tailgate, but other than that the car is very straight. The inerior is very nice with only normal wear on the drivers' seat. The rest of the interior is in exceptional condition. The tires are like new and the brakes are smooth. The A/C, heater and heated seats, all work very well. Here in Atlanta, we just went thru Snow-mageddon 2014. I drove this car in the middle of it and OMG, it was AWESOME. The traction control and ABS we amazing. I actually pulled quite a number of other vehicles out of the ice. It is incredibly sure-footed in the weather. Again, I'm not a fan, but I was really impressed with the slick weather performance of this car. See the pictures. The bottom of this car is very clean, very nice and very dry. It looks like there might be a slight leak from the rear differential pinion seal. The differential is moist, but there is nothing dripping. We require a $1000 deposit at auction end thru PayPal. The remainder is due upon inspection and acceptance of the car. If you're out of state, I will offer a ride from the Atlanta airport. If you don't accept the car, I will refund $900 of your deposit. We accept cash, cerified checks or credit cards for payment (credit card processing fee applies). |

Watch the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat verify its 204-mph top speed
Thu, Jan 29 2015The industry is producing some ridiculously fast four-doors these days, from the Porsche Panamera and Maserati Quattroporte to the Mercedes E63 AMG and BMW M5. But the fastest of them all doesn't cost six figures. It doesn't even come from Europe. It's made right here in North America, by a US automaker. And it starts at under $64k. We're talking about the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, the Pentastar muscle sedan with the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 and its 707 horsepower. Dodge claims it's the "quickest, fastest, most powerful [production] sedan ever," and they're not just blowing smoke... or smoking tires. During the final stages of development, engineers from Auburn Hills took a bone-stock, Hellcat-powered Charger out to a seven-mile oval for a top speed run and they filmed the occasion for posterity. The result? 206.9 miles per hour with the wind, 202.2 against it, for a two-way average top speed of 204.55 mph. Chew on that, imports.
Weekly Recap: Things you might not know about the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcats
Sat, 16 Aug 2014If you're an enthusiast, and you don't know that Dodge spawned another Hellcat this week, you really must have been living in cave. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is probably the biggest news for enthusiasts since the reveal of, well the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
But, there are some things you might not know or might have missed about the new Charger and Challenger Hellcats. For starters, reports that the Hellcat production would be limited to a low volume are not true.
"We have not capped the Hellcat on either the Challenger or the Charger," Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis said.
Top horsepower-per-dollar cars in 2017
Tue, Feb 17 2015Bang for the buck. That quasi-scientific statistic is bandied about by motor heads everywhere from classrooms to barrooms, though the truth of the matter is that it's exceedingly complex to measure. A fair performance-per-dollar index would include something like cross-referencing MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price) with point-to-point times on a track or driving route, which is obviously hard to do comprehensively. But, for the sheer joy of talking about cars and playing with a big spreadsheet, there's always the horsepower-per-dollar index, which is more straightforward, albeit hilariously flawed. There are vagaries even with this simple formula, of course: MSRP for vehicles can change at a moment's notice, to say nothing of the bottom-line shifting that happens with local deals or showroom negotiation. For this list we're running with the straight MSRP wherever possible, and as recently reported as we can get it. All the vehicles on this list are 2017 models, and all trims are reported where the lowest price and differing power levels intersect. Some choices were made for personal preference and some for sanity, avoiding things like all 48 trim levels of the Ford Transit, all with the same horsepower). If this list were a simple top ten, or even a top fifty, you'd be bored to tears with all the red, white and blue that is represented. Following perfectly with conventional wisdom, American cars really do lead the world where hp/$ is concerned. So, for the sake of variety (and the sheer joy of seeing a minivan 'win' one round of this thing) I've sorted out some top five and bottom five lists for broad power categories. Let's dive in. Less Than 100 Horsepower Okay, okay, this is hardly a category we'll grant you. But we've often tried to click off all the sub-100-hp cars on sale in the US, and making this list gave us an excuse. It also illustrates that none of these smallish vehicles bring cheap horsepower to the table - for that you'll need a motorcycle. The segment-leading Chevy Spark (above) asks just over $139 for each hp, and that Smart Fortwo Electric Drive has hp on sale for about the same price as its very distant family cousin, the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (insert your favorite Smart joke here... we know you want to).
