I am selling a white “Cool Vanilla” 2005 Dodge Magnum RT with the 340-hp 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine. The car has 140,000 miles on it and is in excellent condition. The only reason I’m getting rid of it is that I drive 700 miles a week to work and simply need better mileage. This has been the best and most enjoyable car I’ve ever had. With the seats down you can haul a lot of items, and with them up it comfortably seats five. It rides “wide” and comfortable like a Chrysler 300 only with a lot more room inside.

The car is fully loaded with; power windows, power locks, power moon roof, dual automatic climate controls, Premium Boston Acoustics audio system that has great sound/Sirius Satellite radio/6 disc CD/MP3 player/with built in navigation, power/heated front seats, 60/40 split bench in the rear, Air conditioning, tilt/telescopic wheel, cruise, steering wheel mounted radio/navigation/system controls.

The exterior of the car is in excellent condition. The only real issue of note is that the bottom of the front bumper is cracked as seen in the pictures. The paint has a smooth high gloss and there are no rust spots.

This car rides beautifully, making it great for long trips. There are no shakes or rattles and most of the miles were put on with just me in the car putting in about 700 miles a week. This car gets right around 20 mpg with about 80% of that on the Northwood’s highways with the cruise set at 70, but about 17 mpg if you’re just running around town.

I purchased this car 5 years ago from a Wisconsin dealer. It had originally been bought back from the original owner for issues with a shift module. Dodge installed a new one prior to me purchasing it. When I bought it the car had 30,000 miles on it. I have driven the car for the past 110,000 miles and aside from normal wear items; this car has been completely problem-free since I bought it.

The Magnum is an all-new sport wagon from Dodge that shares a rear-wheel-drive platform with the Chrysler 300. The rear lift gate is hinged forward in the roof for easier access to the cargo area. Magnum RT is powered by a 340-hp 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine.

Legacy Classic Power Wagon First Drive

Wed, Oct 7 2015

Shortly before the US entered World War II, Dodge supplied the military with a line of pickups internally codenamed WC, those letters designating the year 1941 and the half-ton payload rating. From 1941 to 1945 Dodge built more than a quarter million of them, and even though "WC" came to refer to the Weapons Carrier body style, the WC range served in 38 different configurations from pickup trucks to ambulances to six-wheeled personnel and weapons haulers. The story is that soldiers returning from active duty badgered Dodge for a civilian version of that indefatigable warhorse, so Dodge responded with the Power Wagon in 1946. Even for those no-nonsense times the truck was so austere that the first three names Dodge gave it were "Farm Utility Truck," "WDX General Purpose Truck," and "General Purpose, One Ton Truck." "Power Wagon" was the fourth choice, not finalized until just before it went on sale. Nothing like today's Power Wagon, the original could be seen as either a glorified tractor or a slightly less uncouth military vehicle – hell-for-leather meant going 50 miles per hour. But it would go nearly anywhere. The civilian version was still built like it had to survive, well, a world war; power take-offs (PTOs) ran all manner of ancillaries; multiplicative gear ratios helped it produce enough torque to make an earthquake envious. Said to be the first civilian 4x4 truck made in America, any organization that needed a simple, sturdy mechanized draught animal knew it needed a Power Wagon. If history, the aura of war, and ruthless functionality attract you but mean comforts and 70-year-old manners don't, then you need to get in touch with Legacy Classic Trucks. If that history, the aura of war, and the ruthless functionality attract you but the mean comforts and 70-year-old manners don't, then you need to get in touch with Legacy Classic Trucks. The Jackson Hole, WY, restorer retains every ounce of the Power Wagon's orchard-work aptitude, decorated with present-day amenities and the best components. Each job starts with having to find a usable donor. The city of Breckenridge, CO, bought the red truck in our gallery in 1947 and used it as a snowplow for the next 30 years. In 1977 a log-home builder bought it from the city and used it for another decade as a company hauler. That's the kind of grueling longevity that lets Ram put a five-figure premium on the 2500 Power Wagon pickup it sells today. Legacy Classics founder Winslow S.

470,000 Jeep Liberty, Chrysler 200, and Dodge Avenger models recalled for restraint defect

Sat, Oct 14 2017

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said on Friday it is recalling 470,000 vehicles worldwide to replace a component that may inhibit deployment of the vehicles' active head restraints in the event of a crash. Around 414,000 of those vehicles were sold in the United States. Apparently, "a component common to the modules of certain vehicles may degrade after extensive vehicle use." The recall covers 2012 Jeep Liberty sport utility vehicles and 2012-13 Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger midsize cars. FCA says a warning light may alert owners to the problem. The Italian-American automaker said it is unaware of any injuries or accidents related to the recall. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened an investigation into the issue in June. (Reporting by David Shepardson; Editing by Steve Orlofsky) Related Video:

Detroit 3 small cars lay an egg in latest Consumer Reports reliability study

Tue, 28 Oct 2014

Consumer Reports has released its Annual Auto Reliability Survey and the results are, in a word, interesting. While we already covered the score-damaging effects of infotainment systems, there's another big angle to the data that's getting some attention - the utterly dismal scores of the Detroit Three's small car offerings.
The turbocharged Dodge Dart and Chevrolet Cruze, as well as the Ford Fiesta were their respective brands' lowest-scoring models, a stat that's made worse by the fact that the American automakers finished 25th, 21st and 23rd, respectively.
That's not acceptable for The Detroit Free Press' auto critic, Mark Phelan, who has penned a scathing critique of the D3's small car reliability scores, arguing that GM, Ford and Chrysler are "out of excuses."
