Hello diesel family and friends, thank you for your faithful following and Happy and blessed new year to everyone,,... my name is Tom my wife and I have been licensed PA new and used DieselTruck dealers since the late 70's and have been involved in diesel trucks as our speciality. We have recently downsized to a small mom and pop operation licensed dealership (2009)here in carlisle PA to sell 2 or 3 trucks a month, we are small and I do this more for a hobby than anything else.(low overhead low prices)
I know these old cummins diesel trucks inside and out and I personally drive one and love these trucks emmensley. What I hate the older ones here in the northeast since they just melt away from all the rust and bondo they are loaded up with so I fly out west to Southern California,Texas, and other west coast and southern states to buy a few clean rustfree 1 owners and drive them home to sell in the northeast.

Here is a rare opportunity on a real highly desired truck guys, could you use a clean Texas 98 Dodge Ram Larimie SLT 4WD Reg cab longbox with the rare 12 valve cummins diesel engine? I bought this truck in Texas back in the fall and it is one of my leftover winter projects I did not complete and don't have time to finish up, so its fire sale time on ebay....Here is the scoop, I did all the hard stuff.
New E rated mudder rubber, lots of front end work, tuned and timed the 12 valve, fresh tranny, battery, brakes all good, Body(cab and frame) is rustfree texas truck, drives real tight and strong, leval kit.
If you want the best work truck you ever owned you are ready to go to work today, has tow package gate works great, looking to finish her up for show quality, 4 bolts and trash the bed and bolt another one on, (I have several rustfree beds for sale 500.00 and up each if wanted bring a trailer), bed has wheel lit rust and a humoungous dent on driver side. No raido and spedo stopped when I put in the new tranny. Otherwise this rare beauty has a ton of potential for whatever you need it to be. Dodge gives 2015 Viper slight power increase, new GT model
Tue, 02 Sep 2014With its troubling sales figures, the newly rechristened SRT Dodge Viper needs to come out swinging for 2015. To do that, Dodge has made a number of tweaks and changes that will hopefully carry the V10-powered sports car into more successful days.
First up for 2015 is a new GT model, which aims to marry the reasonable price of the base car with the adjustable suspension and trick stability control program of the GTS model. The GT also sports a cabin that's covered in Alcantara suede and Nappa leather as standard.
Also new for 2015 is the SRT TA 2.0 Special Edition, which expands on last year's Viper TA by adding new aerodynamic bits and bobs, including a larger rear wing, which ups downforce at 150 miles per hour from 278 pounds to 400 pounds.

Hypermiling a Ram 1500 EcoDiesel to 38.1 mpg
Fri, May 9 2014You never quite know what Wayne Gerdes has up his sleeve. The man who coined the term hypermiling is always looking for adventurous ways to prove that anyone – even you... yes, you – can eke out more miles per gallon just by changing the way you drive. Saying that is easy. Proving it by going on outlandish cross-country drives is hard. But for Gerdes and his team of fuel economy fiends over at CleanMPG, hard is half the fun. Our latest adventure appeared, at first glance, to be nearly impossible. Which is why we always answer the phone when Gerdes calls. He likes to take journalists along on his drives, not only to try teach us how to hypermile but also to prove that we can be taught. The first time I 'helped' him and his team was when we got over 30 miles per gallon in a 2011 Ford F-150 XLT with the EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6. The EPA rated that truck with at just 16 mpg in the city and 22 on the highway. So, we'll count that trip as a success. Next up was a cross-country drive last fall in a trio of Audi TDI vehicles to prove that you don't need to drive extra slow to beat the EPA numbers. In fact, we made it from Los Angeles to New York City in just over 46 hours, cramped but not cranky. We had once again proven that how you drive is hugely important to your fuel usage. Our latest adventure appeared, at first glance, to be nearly impossible. The EPA says that the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel we would be driving gets just 22 combined mpg (19 city and 27 highway). Gerdes' idea was to drive it as far north from Houston, TX towards Detroit, MI as we could go on one tank. The day before we left, our itinerary got an extra stop. Instead of taking one of the official Shell Eco-marathon prototype vehicles to Detroit, it was decided to bring the winning diesel-powered prototype from the just-finished event to The Henry Ford Museum, where it had been arranged the car would be displayed. The winning car was built by a small team (just four students) from Sullivan High School in Sullivan, IN, who managed to beat a number of college teams with a score of 1,899.32 mpg. That target would be a bit out of reach for the Ram, but could we get 1,000 miles from the tank? Since the truck has a 26 gallon tank (officially, anyway), that would mean the EPA says we could only go 702 miles, assuming all highway driving. Could we make up 300 miles with careful driving? That spells both challenge and fun.
