2001 Dodge Ram 2500 2wd 3/4 ton pickup truck. It has the 5.9l 24v cummins turbo diesel engine backed by an automatic transmission. This truck is all stock except exhaust and lift pump. THIS TRUCK HAS NEVER HAD A CHIP OR TUNER ON IT! This truck is from Kansas and is in very good shape as you can see from the pictures. I got this truck 2 years ago with a little less than 129,000 miles. It now has a little under 142,000 miles. It has hardly any rust on it as you can see from the pictures. It starts up and drives great even in the winter. It has a block heater on it that I use if it gets below freezing. It has a full size spare  Since I have owned it I have upgraded and repaired quite a bit of stuff to it. The list is as follows and all happened within the past 2 years and 10,000 miles:

-pitman arm, idler arm, and alinement

-fass factory replacement lift pump

-starter with lifetime warranty

-NITTO Terra Grabler tires (265/75/16)

- 4 inch turbo back stainless steel exhaust system

-New front rotors and brake pads @ 139,000 miles

-2 Brand new batteries @ 141,400 miles

I also have another set of tires that go along with the truck but do not have much tread. They would make a good summer tire they just need mounted to rims

I did a transmission flush and filter about 7,500 ago.  I have always used synethic oils in it. I use rotella t6 full synethic oil in it. I change the oil, oil filter, and fuel filter every 2500 to 3000 miles.

The truck has a plastic bed liner thats is cut to accept a 5th wheel hitch.

The truck does have a couple issues- Small crackin the  dash, a/c needs recharged/fixed I have recharged it the past 2 years and it holds for about 3-4 months , the rear drivers side door is stuck closed and will not open I think it is the bottom latch

The truck has a clear title and has never been in an accident

the tool box does not come with the truck but I may throw it in for an additional amount I am going to college this fall and do not need a truck this large .

Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have. Truck is in Zanesville, OH. Feel free to call or text 740-683-2278 if you want to come check it out or need more info.

Corvette Z06 and Viper TA square off at the strip

Wed, Jan 21 2015

There are many long-standing grudge matches among automobiles: 911 vs GT-R, Mustang vs Camaro, Ferrari vs Lamborghini... but as far as high-end American metal goes, it doesn't get much more legendary than Viper vs 'Vette. So after Chevy released the new Corvette Z06, we knew it was only a matter of time before it would have to square off against the Viper TA. And what better place to pit these two parallel pillars of American performance than on the drag strip? Fortunately that's just what we have here. In one corner, the 2014 Dodge Viper TA, with its 8.4-liter V10 pumping out 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. In the other, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the supercharger on its 6.2-liter V8 more than making up for the discrepancy in displacement and cylinder count to produce 650 hp and just as much torque. But numbers don't tell the whole story, so watch the video clip to see which reaches the end of the quarter-mile first. Are supercars becoming less special?

Thu, Sep 3 2015

There's little doubt that we are currently enjoying the golden age of automotive performance. Dozens of different models on sale today make over 500 horsepower, and seven boast output in excess of 700 hp. Not long ago, that kind of capability was exclusive to supercars – vehicles whose rarity, performance focus, and requisite expense made them aspirational objects of desire to us mortals. But more than that, supercars have historically offered a unique driving experience, one which was bespoke to a particular model and could not be replicated elsewhere. But in recent years, even the low-volume players have been forced to find the efficiencies and economies of scale that formerly hadn't been a concern for them, and in turn the concept of the supercar as a unique entity unto itself is fading fast. The blame doesn't fall on one particular manufacturer nor a specific production technique. Instead, it's a confluence of different factors that are chipping away at the distinction of these vehicles. It's not all bad news – Lamborghini's platform sharing with Audi for the Gallardo and the R8 yielded a raging bull that was more reliable and easier to live with on a day-to-day basis, and as a result it went on to become the best-selling Lambo in the company's history. But it also came at the cost of some of the Italian's exclusivity when eerily familiar sights and sounds suddenly became available wearing an Audi badge. Even low-volume players have been forced to find economies of scale. Much of this comes out of necessity, of course. Aston Martin's recent deal with Mercedes-AMG points toward German hardware going under the hood and into the cabin of the upcoming DB11, and it's safe to assume that this was not a decision made lightly by the Brits, as the brand has built a reputation for the bespoke craftsmanship of its vehicles. There's little doubt that the DB11 will be a fine automobile, but the move does jeopardize some of the characteristic "specialness" that Astons are known for. Yet the world is certainly better off with new Aston Martins spliced with DNA from Mercedes-AMG rather than no new Astons at all, and the costs of developing cutting-edge drivetrains and user interfaces is a burden that's becoming increasingly difficult for smaller manufacturers to bear. Even Ferrari is poised to make some dramatic changes in the way it designs cars.

Dodge Viper GTS-R goes back to old-school livery

Fri, 20 Jun 2014

The Dodge Viper may have been around now for over 20 years, but as far as racing achievements go, 2000 was its finest season. That's when it won the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the GTS class trophy at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and its second consecutive title in the American Le Mans Series.
Since then, SRT Motorsports hasn't quite had the same success, withdrawing from Le Mans this year and shedding the Dodge name and its emblematic red and white livery for the SRT badge and a silver snakeskin theme. But now that the Viper is back under the Dodge banner, so too is the racing team returning to its classic livery.
Starting from the six-hour race at Watkins Glen next week, both the No. 91 and No. 93 Viper GTS-Rs will wear the red base color with twin white racing stripes that its more accomplished forebears wore on circuits around the world. And with it, maybe the Viper will return once again to the winner's circle at home and abroad.
