My wife and I have taken turns using this a a daily driver for two years and the only issues we had were the water pump and cam positioning sensor as listed below. Otherwise it has been pretty dependable as a daily driver. I will not deliver so if you purchase it you will need to make arrangements to pick it up. Deposit is required upon purchase or I reserve the right to relist. This vehicle is being sold as is, where is. 1. The engine runs a little rough at idle. 2. There is a paint scrape on the passenger front door. 3. The front bumper, headlight section is a little loose so the hood doesn't completely latch. It does latch but you do not need to use the release inside to open just the secondary latch under the hood. 4. The front end (shocks maybe?) make a noise when going over speed bumps. 5. Service engine soon light came on again a couple days after passing emissions. I've been told it is a post catalytic converter sensor? 6. Cruise control vacuum line is broken. It did work up until then. The pro's 1. Runs good 2 Interior is in pretty good shape. 3. AC blows cold. 4. Stereo works great. 5. All of the power options work good. Power seats, power windows, power door locks and trunk release. 6. Have two factory remotes purchased at the dealer at 300 a piece! Ouch!!! 7. New water pump. 8. New Radiator and thermostat. 9. New timing chain and gear. 10. New cam positioning sensor. 11. Just passed emissions. (On Board Computer check). |

Old vs. New: 2014 SRT Viper takes on upgraded 16-year-old Dodge Viper
Fri, 08 Feb 2013It's easy to play the "Would you rather have a New X or an Old Y with a bunch of upgrades?" game more often than we care to admit, but the crew at Car and Driver have taken bench racing to the next level with their latest video. In it, the magazine pits a brand-new 2014 SRT Viper against a highly modified 1997 Dodge Viper GTS. There are 16 years between the time this particular GTS rolled off the production line and when the new car bowed, but that doesn't mean the old snake's owners have been sitting on their hands.
Thanks to a spate of modifications, the GTS offers up a better power to weight ratio than the new machine, but is that enough to overcome the technological leap forward represented by the 2014 Viper? We won't spoil it for you. You'll just have to check out the full clip below for yourself.
Chrysler readying Hellcat V8 with Viper-like power
Tue, 21 May 2013A monstrous supercharged V8 engine could be in store for Chrysler and SRT products, if recent rumors are to be believed. Allpar is reporting that the forced-induction V8 - Chrysler's first, if this goes down - could make its debut this summer.
The story goes that the Hellcat would be based on a 6.2-liter Hemi engine, rather than on the existing 5.7- or 6.4-liter versions of the company's vaunted mill. In any case, the general consensus is that the motor will have gobs of power. Modest estimates call for between 500 to 570 horsepower, with some outliers predicting a figure as high as 600 hp. That figure would put the output would place the Hellcat awfully close to that of the 640-hp V10 in the SRT Viper, too. Allpar contends that a slightly lower powered version would allow Chrysler to keep costs below that of the more powerful Ford Shelby GT500, which might be a sweet spot.
The Hellcat could debut in a number of SRT products. SRT versions of the Charger, Challenger and 300 are all up for grabs, as is the rumored SRT Barracuda.
FCA CEO Mike Manley will take undefined new role after PSA merger
Wed, Dec 18 2019MILAN — Fiat Chrysler Chief Executive Mike Manley will remain with the new group set to result from a planned merger with French rival PSA-Peugeot, Chairman John Elkann said on Wednesday. In a letter to Fiat Chrysler (FCA) employees on the day the two companies announced a binding agreement for a $50 billion tie-up to create the world's fourth-largest carmaker, Elkann said he was "delighted" that the combined group would be led by current PSA CEO Carlos Tavares. "And Mike Manley, who has led FCA with huge energy, commitment and success over the past year, will be there alongside him," he said. He did not say what position Manley would hold. Elkann — who will chair the new group — said there was still much to be done to complete the merger. "Over the coming months we must work tirelessly and determinedly to fulfill all the approval requirements needed to finalize the commitment we have signed," he said.
