 2008 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN
  • 99,500 miles, mostly highway miles
  • Title clear and in hand
  • Clean interior--neither the former owner nor I smoke, so there is no smokey odor.  Also we didn't have young children while we owned it, so there is no odor of spoiled milk, diapers, etc.  She didn't own any pets; I have a dog who has only ridden in the van a couple times.
  • Very good driving condition--Van has been well maintained.  As mentioned earlier, the check engine light comes on because of the interior temp sensor, which a mechanic told me isn't significant and doesn't need to be fixed.  Also the A/C has a small leak; a charge in early spring will last til it isn't needed anymore for that year.  I've had no major work done on the van; it runs fine.  I did install a new battery 2 months ago.
  • Looks great--Sleek looking van!  I did have a fender bender last year which left some scratches and a crack in the trim of the bumper, but not serious enough for me to repair.  The handle to the hatch cracked also, but not really noticeable, so I'm pointing at it in one of the pics.
  • Handy features:  Power windows, 3rd row seats, power mirrors, rear window defroster, cruise control, cd player, tilt steering wheel, 2 zone climate control and a luggage rack.
I'm sorry to be selling this reliable vehicle, but I no longer need all the room it offers, so I'm looking for a smaller car.  This mini-van is ideal for a large family or an individual who does extensive driving and needs the room for equipment, luggage, etc.

Aficionauto drives Vin Diesel's fast and furious 1970 Dodge Charger

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

The Aficionauto host Christopher Rutkowski has a real passion for original and replica cars from movies and television, whether they are from James Bond, Jurassic Park, or incredibly obscure Japanese shows. However, he might have outdone himself this time because he hopped into one of the biggest automotive stars of contemporary cinema. This 1970 Dodge Charger appeared in Fast & Furious and came back in Fast Five, where Paul Walker actually drove it. The menacing, black muscle car will make its return to the franchise in the seventh film, too.
The Fast and Furious Charger is a real beast no matter how you look at it. The interior is nothing more than two seats and a roll cage, and as the video shows, this thing vibrates constantly like a coiled mass of muscle ready to strike. The camera can barely stay in place most of the time. Also, Dom's Dodge is more than happy to do a smoky burnout and leave the driver partially deaf afterward from its wonderful, ear-splitting engine roar.
The Aficionauto also interviews the man who controls the keys to this beast. Bob Hartwig was once an F-15 pilot, but he also loved Hollywood vehicles. Now, he's a partner at Picture Car Warehouse, a company with about 850 cars that supplies vehicles to film studios. This Charger definitely seems to be Hartwig's favorite in the collection, as it should be.

Real-life Bravado Banshee from Grand Theft Auto up for sale

Sun, 01 Jun 2014

Remember the Bravado Banshee that West Coast Customs built last year to promote Grand Theft Auto V? Given away by GameStop, the woman who won it says she's better off with money to send her two kids to college than with a race car, so now you can steal buy it on eBay.
Based on a 2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10, every exterior panel was redesigned to match the Banshee, and the red embroidered badging inside won't let you forget it. There's still that V10 up front that can make some kind of racket, and a SEMA-worthy stereo filling the entire trunk to make a different kind of racket. Oh, it's also got hood struts that have crapped out, so you'll notice the hood is held up with a wooden rod.
The auction ends on June 5, and you can make an offer or hit the Buy It Now button and hand over $170,000. Might be time to change the outfit and run a few jobs for some quick cash.

Dodge to reveal Hellcat-powered Challenger in Detroit?

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

On top of all the other performance car debuts slated for next week's Detroit Auto Show, we might be able to add one more to the list - the new, supercharged Hellcat V8 from Chrysler. According to new reports, the rumored 640-horsepower mill is likely to cross the Motor City stage in the engine bay of a Dodge Challenger.
As AllPar points out, though, there may be more news than just the fire-breathing engine. While we've seen spy photos of the Hellcat testing under the hood of the current Challenger, there's a very fair chance that it won't arrive until the muscle car is refreshed later this year. The question now is whether that refresh will be shown off alongside the new engine in Detroit, or if it'll be saved, perhaps for the New York Auto Show.
Other details dug up by AllPar include potential transmissions for the supercharged engine - the Mopar-minded site is expecting an eight-speed automatic or a Tremec six-speed manual. Prices, meanwhile, could be in the same elevated range as the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, at $70,000 to $80,000.
