I am selling my 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT Spring Special.  This van comes with every extra offered that model year except for the in-dash navigation system (which was reported to be buggy at the time and I opted to just use a Garmin, which ended up being better anyways).  Blue book value shows it is $11,100.00 and we are asking $10,800.00.  You can email me an offer and I will entertain it.  If it is a good offer, we may set the auction up for that amount and allow purchase.

I am selling it because I have a company car now and do not need a second vehicle.  There is nothing wrong with the vehicle.  It has been kept in top shape the entire time it has been used.  It only has 64,000 miles on the vehicle because we did not want to put alot of miles on such a gem of a vehicle.

Below I have listed what options it has that I could recall.  It has a million of them.  One of the most notable things about this vehicle is we purchased a bumper-to-bumper warranty that extends the coverage on the vehicle to 7 years or 75,000 miles.  It only has a $100 deductible.  It covers everything in the vehicle.  Another notable addition is you have the Stow 'N Go seating system, where you can fold the seats down and under the floor.  The pictures I took of the van show one of the seats folded under the floor and one above the floor.  That seat is fine and good just like all the others; I just tried to demonstrate how the SNG system works.  When all the seats are up, the compartments are still there on the floor and they allow tons of extra storage space for everything.

The vehicle also comes with the DVD system, a 6 Disc changer system, theater surround sound if you want it loud, or two sets of wireless headphones and a wireless remote control if you don't want to hear SpongeBob over and over for the 3,000 mile roadtrip.

One of the pictures shows the Kelley Blue Book value and options on this vehicle.

A non-refundable deposit of $1000 due within 7 days of auction close.  Remainder due within 14 days.

Fiat/PSA's dominance in small vans hangs up EU's merger approval

Mon, Jun 8 2020

BRUSSELS — EU antitrust regulators are concerned about Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot / PSA's combined high market share in small vans and may require concessions to clear their $50 billion merger, people familiar with the matter said. The companies, which are seeking to create the world's fourth biggest carmaker, were told of the European Commission's concerns last week. If Fiat and PSA fail to dispel the European Commission's doubts in the next two days and subsequently decline to offer concessions by Wednesday, the deadline for doing so, the deal would face a four-month-long investigation. The EU competition enforcer, which has set a June 17 deadline for its preliminary review, declined to comment. Fiat was not immediately available for comment while PSA had no immediate comment. Hiving off overlapping businesses, usually a regulatory demand to ensure more competition, could prove tricky for the carmakers because of the technicalities. Fiat and PSA are looking to merge to help offset slowing demand and shoulder the cost of making cleaner vehicles to meet tougher emissions regulations. The deal puts under one roof the Italian carmaker's brands such as Fiat, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Maserati and the French company's Peugeot, Opel and DS. Chrysler investing $20M in Toledo plant to support 9-speed auto production

Sun, 28 Apr 2013

In 2011, Chrysler announced a $72-million investment in its Toledo Machining Plant to modernize production of the eight- and nine-speed torque-converters for automatic transmissions made there. That upgrade work won't be finished until Q3 of this year, but Chrysler has already announced a further $19.6-million investment to increase production capacity for the nine-speeders.
The extra units will be necessary because the nine-speed transmission they'll be mated to is going into three popular models: it will debut on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, then go into the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart. The company predicted that this year alone it would sell 200,000 units equipped with the nine-speed tranny, and it is spending some $374 million in addition to the investment in Toledo to upgrade production capacity for it.
The work attached to this new investment won't begin until Q3 of 2014, and it will be finished by the end of that year. There's a press release below with all the details.

Does the future of Fiat-Chrysler include Dodge?

Thu, 13 Jun 2013

Wards Auto reports the future of Dodge is looking uncertain. Fiat has more or less laid out it's game plan for the next few years, and while the Chrysler, Fiat and Jeep lines are set to receive plenty of love, Dodge isn't so lucky. Fiat has already hobbled Dodge significantly by splitting off the brand's trucks into a separate Ram line.
Wards says that after the Avenger rides off into the sunset early next year, Fiat-Chrysler won't replace the model, leaving a gaping midsize hole in the Dodge lineup. The report also cites unnamed sources as saying that at least two other current Dodge products will move to the Chrysler line.
One of those could very well be the Grand Caravan. Chrysler has already made it clear that it plans to trim redundancy between its minivan offerings, but it has yet to clarify which other vehicle could sail under the Chrysler banner moving forward. Either way, such changes to the product line would theoretically leave Dodge with just four models.
