2002 Dodge Grand Caravan ES 3.8 L V-6 AS IS For Parts or Rebuild 6 Leather Seats
I am selling my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan ES. It is NOT Running. It was our good running family vehicle until about a week ago. I was driving it and the transmission started slipping. I limped the vehicle home until it came to a dead stop. It does not start now so it is in AS IS condition. The starter is not engaging and I imagine I fried the transmission. I will try to sell it as a complete vehicle for awhile for someone to fix. If it does not sell as a complete vehicle I will be willing to part out items off of the vehicle. Tell me what parts you need and a fair offer and I will keep a list if I decide to part it out. It has nice rims, good tires (kind of need those to move it around). The interior has a total of 6 Blue Leather Captains Chairs which sell on eBay for $200 each. Ask any questions you may have and email me through eBay for more info if needed. You can view/pick up the car in the Palm Tree/Country Club Area of Cape Coral, FL 33904. SEE item description for more INFO.
Here is what I know is wrong with the vehicle: It will not start and the starter does not engage. The AC has a leak in the evaporator (compressor works good, but Freon leaks out). The lock on the rear hatch was broken out and is missing. The rear hatch has a dent in it. The transmission started slipping and I continued to drive it about 8 miles until it stalled coming to a dead stop and it does not restart. I would think the transmission is broken. Some normal signs of wear from age and use from my family and two daughters use.
It was always a good running second car for us and we liked having it to shuffle kids back and forth to swim practice etc. We can not risk having a vehicle that may break down as we have young children. So we are selling the vehicle. Highest accepted offer can have the vehicle as it sits or we will part it out and scrap the rest. I would prefer to sell it to one person even though I would likely get more parting it out. The SIX Leather captains chairs alone are worth what I am asking for the whole vehicle. Please buy this car and get it out of my driveway. Thank you.
High Bidder is responsible for pick up of this item in person. It has a clear title. Please pay for the vehicle through Paypal and once payment is made I will overnight you the Title. Please pick up the vehicle within 10 days of buying it. |

Ron Burgundy returns for four more Dodge Durango ads
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Dodge has released several more of its Anchorman 2-themed commercials, starring Will Ferrell as inept newsreader Ron Burgundy. The four spots, one of which is a sequel to a previous commercial, follow roughly the same pattern as previous ads, with Ferrell's Burgundy misunderstanding or generally making a fool of himself. For some of the ads, though, Burgundy is selling more than just Durangos - the red-suited host of San Diego's most watched news broadcast shilling the entire Dodge lineup.
We've included all four ads down below, and you can also hope over to our original posts to see some of the older commercials. Oh, and if you're getting tired of these - we aren't, aside from the Do-dge spot - just remember that Ferrell reportedly filmed around 70 ads for Dodge.
Dodge idles Viper production again at Conner Avenue
Mon, 07 Jul 2014You've got to hand it to Dodge for having the gumption to put the original Viper into production in the first place. It was, after all, much more of an emotional decision than a practical one, and a move which saw the first production V10 engine placed in a road car - long before the advent of the Lamborghini Gallardo, Audi R8, Porsche Carrera GT or Lexus LFA, not to mention the other Ford, BMW and Volkswagen Group models that used such engines.
It's now been 22 years since the first Viper entered production and the Viper still rolls on several generations later, but we're sad to say that courageous decision has not always been met with overwhelming sales success. In fact parent Chrysler was forced to idle the Conner Avenue plant where the Viper is made back in April due to slow sales. And while production resumed again as planned on June 23, it apparently didn't do the trick.
As a result, Chrysler corporate communications chief Shawn Morgan revealed to Autoblog that the assembly line has been shut down again for another two weeks. The line was up and running for nearly two full work weeks from June 23 until the holiday weekend that started on Thursday, July 3. But instead of coming back online today as planned, it's been idled again for the weeks of July 7 and 14. That means it will be July 21, at the earliest, before the serpentine supercars start slithering down the assembly line at Conner Avenue again. Once it does, however, production is set to resume at the same pace it was before the shutdown.
Hero gets his truck back better than new thanks to community support [w/video]
Sun, 29 Jun 2014You ever hear a story and start cringing before you hear the end because you know how it's going to turn out? That could very well have been the case with the story from a few weeks ago in West Valley City, Utah, where a 14-year-old kid stole his grandfather's Hyundai Veloster and took it for a joyride - through a park full of children. But instead it turned into a heart-warming tale of heroism and a community banding together to do what's right... and then some.
Bryson Rowley was that hero who identified the danger and, rather than sit idly by and watch the joyrider potentially run over a child, got into his truck and drove it into the menacing runaway hatchback. The collision caused some $7,500 to his 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, but instead of getting stuck with the bill - one which his insurance may very well have refused to pay since the crash was, technically speaking, intentional - his community pitched in a helping hand.
Bryan Ellison, who owns West Valley Carstar with his brother, saw the news on television and wanted to help. So he brought Rowley a rental car, picked up his truck and brought it back to his auto repair shop. People from around the community donated parts, and when all was said and done, some $15,000 of work and upgrades were performed on the Ram that was returned to an overwhelmed Bryson Rowley better than new. Watch the video below for the full story.
