Locust Grove, Oklahoma, United States

This is a super straight car with minimal rust in lower rear 1/4s and small spot on passenger fender. inner wells and wheel lips are still excellent. I do not see signs of any patching anywhere on this car. Appears to be all origonal sheet metal. No dents, maybe a couple of dings. Interior is nice. The front seat has been recovered in ORIGONAL material and looks very good. Dash pad has cracks and back seat has a scrape. Interior nice overall.
This is an origonal 318 v-8 car with a 318 that came out of a bigger car that had 60k miles on it so engine has 60K miles. Body has 92K miles. Engine sounds like a million bucks, idles perfectly, choke works, doesn't smoke or rattle. Runs and drives very good with no issues, brakes are good and it does not pull right or left. Car has power steering, power disc brakes and a/c. Everything complete under the hood. The grill is perfect. The origonal  bumperets, vinyl top trim, and wheel opening moldings come with the car. Yes the car had I believe a 1/4 vinyl top but there is NO rust on the top anywhere. The bumperettes are in excellent shape, just removed for a cleaner look. The floors, frame rails, and trunk are solid. There are 2 pin holes in the trunk but it still looks very good. All glass is very good. Doors open and shut like new. The body gaps are very good. This is a very clean car overall that you can get in and drive anywhere. There is even a matching rally wheel for a spare. You wont be dissapointed with this car for the money. THIS IS A TIGHT CAR!  Has new tune up, belts, hoses, fluids, filters, lube, sending unit, etc.
I also have a HP 360 that could be bought seperately if interested. LOW RESERVE on this car. Please call with any ?s. I will be happy to do a walk around for you if you are a serious buyer. And always welcome to do inspection. I was told this was a 2 owner car before me. I have origonal operators manual and dealers invoice from Stillwater Ok.....Darrell @ 918-386-2207
Sold as is.....$500 deposit due within 2 days of auction end and balance due within 7 days of auction end. Cash preferred-cashiers check must clear before releasing the car. I can store the car for a while if need be at no extra charge.....Thank You

Chrysler minivans under investigation for stalling after fuel refill

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, at least one man has reported that his 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan stalled unexpectedly on the highway shortly after being refueled. The unidentified man who contacted NHTSA regarding the issue cited as many as eight similar instances reported by other drivers.
NHTSA has announced that it will launch an inquiry into this issue, which could affect as many as 160,000 minivans from Dodge and Chrysler that were sold in 2007 (or more, if a problem is found that extends to additional models years, we'd assume). As of yet, there's no formal investigation, let alone a recall, on these vans, as the agency is merely determining if further action is needed.
Two months ago, Chrysler recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles, the majority of which were minivans, from the 2008-2010 model years to replace ignition switches after an investigation found that their weak springs and detent positions could fool a driver into thinking the car was in the "Run" position, when it's actually in the "Accessory" position.

Fiat Chrysler CEO says final merger talks with Peugeot going well

Thu, Jan 23 2020

BRUSSELS — Fiat Chrysler's chief executive Michael Manley said on Wednesday that merger talks with Peugeot owner PSA  to create the world's No. 4 carmaker are progressing well and he hopes to have a deal within 12-14 months. Speaking to Reuters on the sidelines of an industry meeting, he said he doesn't expect any major obstacles that could delay a final agreement. "Talks are progressing really well," Manley said about negotiations with the French carmaker ahead of a briefing by the European automotive association (ACEA), of which he is president. His comments come a month after the two carmakers agreed to a binding deal worth about $50 billion to combine forces in response to a slowdown in global demand and mounting costs of making cleaner vehicles amid tighter emissions regulations. Manley's timeline for completing the deal by early 2021 is in line with a forecast made by the companies in December. Fiat and Peugeot are now getting into the details of how the merger will work, including choosing which vehicle platforms — the technological underpinnings of a vehicle — will fit which products in a combined company. Because customers in different locations still prefer vastly different cars, there is room for multiple platforms in a combined group, Manley said. "That global platform is an elusive beast," he added. "This concept of a massive global platform in my mind is almost a myth, but that doesnÂ’t mean to say weÂ’re not going to recruit significant volume." Related Video:

1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express in Generation Gap showdown with 1933 Ford Pickup

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

Auto enthusiasts love a good debate, whether it's Mustang versus Camaro or Ferrari against Lamborghini. But how about a battle between two very different vintages of classic pickup trucks? In this case, the fight is between a 1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express and a 1933 Ford Model 46 truck with a flathead V8.
The shootout comes courtesy of the internet series Generation Gap, and its concept is super-simple. One guy prefers classics, and the other likes newer rides. They choose a category, pick two vehicles and put them head to head. In this case, neither is exactly modern, though. The Ford is more than old enough to receive Social Security checks, and the Dodge is hardly a young whippersnapper.
Other than both being pickups, these two models were made to serve very different functions. The Li'l Red Express was basically the progenitor of today's muscle trucks, with a big V8 that made it one of the quickest new models in its day (admittedly, 1979 was a rough time for automotive performance). On the other hand, the '33 Ford was just meant to work, with little pretense for anything else. One of the hosts describes it as "the simplest, most difficult" vehicle he's driven because of the tricky double clutchwork necessary to shift gears. Scroll down to watch the video and try to decide which of these two American classics you would rather have in your garage.
