For sale. 1972 Dodge dart swinger. Good condition, good interior, runs excellent. (daily driver)
318cid V8 / a904 automatic trans.

Brand new tires and rims (have receipts, installed sunday april 7th 2013) have like 5 miles on them
4130 chromemoly roll bar 1 5/8"od .120" wall thickness (4poin) with swing out driver side post
race seats
4point harness
aluminum radiator
summit racing mild cam
rings were changed on 2010

car is in great shape overall,
no rust on body (have a pic of a cancer spot around battery (usually and common)
It was my daily driver for almost a year and a half, i started doing daily trips from pomona to downtown LA so gas money started to hurt. I got a 4 cyl car and parked it. On june of 2012 we moved it again and the trans started to go out, so i got a rebuild trans with new torque converter (summit racing) and threw the new one.
My friend has been using it as a daily from june last year till this past sunday when we installed the tires.

The cons (bad)
my friend lowered the car (front) so it will look better and now the right front tire rubs some times :(. its no big deal, just gotta tighten the front back up but havnt had the time or the tools.

-small exhaust leak on one of the headers

Thats about the most important. Overall the car is in great running condition, it woulnt be a daily driver if it wasnt. Registration current, clean title and pink in hand.
$5,500
I just got too many projects already. Come and see the car, test it, you will see that what i describe here is true. Thanks

2013 Dodge Challenger V6 recalled for fire risk, owners asked not to drive

Sun, 17 Mar 2013

Chrysler has issued a recall for the V6 version of the 2013 Dodge Challenger (as pictured above in 2012MY) over the possibility of a wiring harness that could short circuit and lead to a fire. Owners of these V6 Challengers built from November 2012 through January 2013 are being urged to contact dealers immediately and, in the meantime, not to drive their cars or park in or near any buildings.
Chrysler estimates around 2,500 potentially affected Challengers are in owners' hands, while another 1,900 are still sitting on dealer lots. The total number of recalled vehicles is 4,459.
So far, Chrysler says that seven fires have been reported - none resulting in injuries. The company is instructing vehicle owners to contact their dealer to find out if their vehicle is included in the recall, but owners can also find the build date information of their vehicle by checking the label in the driver's door jamb.

Chrysler minivans under investigation for stalling after fuel refill

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, at least one man has reported that his 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan stalled unexpectedly on the highway shortly after being refueled. The unidentified man who contacted NHTSA regarding the issue cited as many as eight similar instances reported by other drivers.
NHTSA has announced that it will launch an inquiry into this issue, which could affect as many as 160,000 minivans from Dodge and Chrysler that were sold in 2007 (or more, if a problem is found that extends to additional models years, we'd assume). As of yet, there's no formal investigation, let alone a recall, on these vans, as the agency is merely determining if further action is needed.
Two months ago, Chrysler recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles, the majority of which were minivans, from the 2008-2010 model years to replace ignition switches after an investigation found that their weak springs and detent positions could fool a driver into thinking the car was in the "Run" position, when it's actually in the "Accessory" position.

Hero gets his truck back better than new thanks to community support [w/video]

Sun, 29 Jun 2014

You ever hear a story and start cringing before you hear the end because you know how it's going to turn out? That could very well have been the case with the story from a few weeks ago in West Valley City, Utah, where a 14-year-old kid stole his grandfather's Hyundai Veloster and took it for a joyride - through a park full of children. But instead it turned into a heart-warming tale of heroism and a community banding together to do what's right... and then some.
Bryson Rowley was that hero who identified the danger and, rather than sit idly by and watch the joyrider potentially run over a child, got into his truck and drove it into the menacing runaway hatchback. The collision caused some $7,500 to his 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, but instead of getting stuck with the bill - one which his insurance may very well have refused to pay since the crash was, technically speaking, intentional - his community pitched in a helping hand.
Bryan Ellison, who owns West Valley Carstar with his brother, saw the news on television and wanted to help. So he brought Rowley a rental car, picked up his truck and brought it back to his auto repair shop. People from around the community donated parts, and when all was said and done, some $15,000 of work and upgrades were performed on the Ram that was returned to an overwhelmed Bryson Rowley better than new. Watch the video below for the full story.
