Well the time has come in my life to make one of the hardest decisions and sell my baby. I have owned and cared for this Demon since 2007. I have put countless hours and money into building it to what it is today. Unfortunately, I am being dealt a hand that is forcing me to give up a car that I always dreamed of. It isn’t a 100% street ready muscle car yet,but with little more effort and money this car can truly be a beast on the street or track. It has completely rebuilt stroker 451cu motor; with high quality parts, no cheap stuff or cutting corners with this baby. It has a completely rebuilt 727 with a full manual/auto valve train and race quality bands and clutches. Tranny has been dyno’d for dependability and accuracy here at Transparts Wharehouse. Rear end is a completely rebuilt 9 3/4 rear end with new Green bearings, rebuilt clutch type posi unit, 3.91 gears on a 741case. Nothing is cheap on this car, as it has taking me 6 years to get this far. The engine alone is worth more than what I am asking for the whole car, and I’m including the extra parts that I have accumulated through its years. I will try my best to capture everything that I can possibly think of as far as parts go, but if incase I miss something just ask me about it. The undercarriage is nearly done; I was working my way back in cleaning, removing surface rust, and treating with undercoat. Interior is about 95% done, with everything either new or rebuilt. Only thing is the headliner, because it was my first install and I didn’t use enough glue. All is needed to make this car streetable is the wiring, alignment, shifter install, and a new driveshaft. This is a true Californian survivor, with the only major rust being at the trunk wheel well. I was going to cut that portion off and weld in new flat sheet metal for the fuel cell to mount up to. It does have its share of dents and damage to the front fenders and rear as you can see, but nothing major. I am truly beside myself in having to sell this one car that I have owned for longer than anything else, but I have faith that it will be going to someone who can finish it up and drive it like it was meant to be driven. I have put more time and money into this car than I will get from it and I know that. I am not asking anywhere near what it costs to buy a 71 Dodge Demon in decent shape with a 500 plus horsepower 451 stoker in front of a race ready tranny and bullet proof rear end that just needs minor things to get it on the road. You just can’t simply buy this kind of car with everything in it, running, with all the body work done, and with a paint job for less than 20K. Here someone has a chance to buy cheap, finish and sell for nearly double. Any questions just ask and I will do my best to answer ASAP. I have the clear California Title in my name on hand, so don’t hesitate to bid, win, and come with a car transport to pick this baby up. You will absolutely not be disappointed, good luck bidding. I have over 90 pictures of it that I can send through e-mail uppon request. Transmission: Fully rebuilt with brand new internals, full manual/auto valve train, stage three kit, racing clutches and bands. Inside: Procar by Scat bucket seats, Phantom Autometer gauges with custom gauge panel. Under carriage: Edelbrock classic IAS shocks, Competition engineering slide-a-link traction bars, Hotchkiss front and rear sway bars, Energy suspension poly bushings, Mopar super stock springs, Sox & Martin adjustable pinion snubber, SSBC drilled and slotted front and rear disc brakes, All stainless steel brake lines, POL billet aluminum proportioning valve and aluminum master cylinder, American Racing 17x8 front and 18x9 rear, Continental Extreme contact high performance tires 215/50 front 275/45 rear. Extra parts include: 742 open case with low street gears, 489 open case with low street gears, Competition engineering bolt on subframe connectors, Hurst Promatic 2 shifter, Optima Red top battery, battery trunk relocating kit, 16gl pro street fuel cell, and everything else on the pics..

I forgot to mention that the Demon was an original 225ci slant six with a 904 automatic on the column. It does have the fender and vin tags, and have pics of both.

NHTSA investigating Chrysler for airbags, ignition switches
Wed, 18 Jun 2014Chrysler is being targeted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in a pair of actions that focus on over 1.2 million Jeeps, minivans and crossovers.
The first is a "preliminary investigation" that focuses on an airbag issue afflicting the Jeep Commander built in model years 2006 and 2007 and Grand Cherokee from 2005 to 2006. In total, 700,000 vehicles could potentially be affected. It's not entirely clear what the airbag issue is, with The Detroit Free Press simply stating that the restraint systems in the affected Jeeps may be "faulty."
The other investigation is what's called a "recall query" and it covers a problem that General Motors should be familiar with. In this case, there could be a problem with the ignition switches of 525,000 vehicles, ranging from 2008 to 2010 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans, to the 2008 to 2010 Dodge Journey crossover. Again, it's not entirely clear what sort of behavior prompted the 32 complaints that NHTSA has received on these vehicles.
I sold my Viper, but the memories I'll keep
Thu, 30 May 2013The following is written by auto industry veteran Tow Kowaleski. The words are his own, but the memories now belong to everyone thanks to his willingness to share. If you're an industry veteran with a story to share, contact us at tipsATautoblogDOTcom.
It became the flame that started the fire of belief in the next life of Chrysler.
I just sold a car. Nothing new. Millions do it every day. But my car was a 1995 Dodge Viper, so maybe it was a bit more unique since just 12,000 were built. And like others selling a car that's been a part of the family for close to 20 years, this was a confluence of emotions for me. I was sad to see it go, but happy to have the cash and one less big, shiny, under-utilized object in my life.
Dodge Viper ACR reportedly green lit [w/video]
Fri, Feb 6 2015The Dodge Viper might be getting a little more venomous in the near future thanks to a return of the performance-honed ACR trim. According to an anonymous source leaking the info to Allpar, the version would go into production in July as a 2016 model year vehicle. FCA US showed a concept for a future ACR (pictured above) at the 2014 SEMA Show that sported carbon fiber parts for the front splitter and dive planes, plus a picnic-table-sized rear wing. The body also received ducts at the rear to shoot cool air to the differential. A set of 15.4-inch carbon-ceramic brake rotors also brought things to a halt in a hurry. The company promised all the aero pieces were sculpted in the wind tunnel to give the coupe even more downforce. To shed weight, engineers chucked the radio, speakers, carpet and sound deadening out of the interior, and they replaced many bits with even more carbon fiber. All of the tweaks are necessary because the ACR moniker carries serious cachet for the Viper at the track, especially at the Nurburgring. One reportedly did a 7:22 lap around the 'Ring in 2008, and another improved that further to 7:12 in 2011. Autoblog reached out to FCA US for comment about the possibility for the hotter Viper, but the company wasn't willing to comment about any possible, future projects. Related Video:
