I listed this as a 1971 Dart to reach a broader audience.  The car is a 1971 Plymouth Valiant.

1971 Plymouth Valiant Slant Six Beast!!!!

Up for sale is a one of a kind slant six powerhouse.  This car was meticulously restored back in 1993.  In 1993 this car was a feature vehicle in mopar collectors guide magazine.  The car runs and sounds like a big block mopar!  This is without a doubt a head turner and a one of a kind ride.
Fully documented and all documentation goes with the car.

This car has never been raced and has rarely been driven on the street.  The paint color is the vintage 1968 charger red.  There are some paint imperfections, on the drivers side 1/4 panel there is a scratch and on the passenger side rocker there is some paint bubbling.  Keep in mind it is a 10 year old resto.  The carburetor will need to be rebuilt.

The power plant is the leaning tower of power 225 slant six.  The heads and block have been decked bringing the compression cole to 10:1.  The cylinders were bored 30 over and the heads were ported/polished/hardened seats/bigger exhaust and intakes were done.  A custom ground cam from hughes engineering allows this air pump to breathe properly.  The list goes on, there are so many things done to this car performance wise.

The drivetrain consists of a completely rebuilt A904 tranny with a B+M 3500 stall converter in it.  To plant the ponies to the ground is an 8 3/4 with a beefy set of 4:30's in it.

Completely rebuilt front suspension with all new components from just suspension.  The front breaks are disc with the 4 piston calipers and the rear is 10" drum.  The front tires are real vintage polyglass tires(bias ply)  and the rear rims were converted to 15" with a set of hoosier quick time pros.

The interior was completely restored and the upholstery is from legendary auto interiors.  A vintage stewart warner tach resides under the dash just for show.

The parts list goes on and no expense was spared nor corners cut.  This car was done in high quality and in good taste.  Please email me with any questions that you have about the car.  Acceptable payments are cash, paypal, or wire transfer(bank to bank).  The winning bidder will deposit 1,500.00 within 48hrs of auction close and full payment must be received in seven days after the close of the auction.  Vehicle will not be released until all funds have cleared the bank.  There is no warranty either expressed or implied and the vehicle is sold 'As Is.'  Shipping is the sole responsibility of the winning bidder.  Do not bid if you are unable to pay!

Stellantis and Foxconn's new joint venture will focus on connectivity

Wed, May 19 2021

MILAN — Carmaker Stellantis and TaiwanÂ’s Foxconn announced plans to develop a jointly operated automotive supplier focusing on technology to make vehicles more connected, including artificial intelligence-based applications and 5G communications. Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares said the services that will be developed through the tie-up “will mark the next great evolution of our industry,” alongside fully electrified and hybrid powertrains. The deal brings together Stellantis, the worldÂ’s 4th-largest automaker formed this year by the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and PSA Peugeot, and Foxconn, a major supplier of iPhones. The companies said the venture would focus on such services as infotainment, the integration of telecommunications and computer systems, artificial intelligence-based applications, 5G communications, e-commerce channels and smart cockpit integration. The companies announced a non-binding memorandum of understanding to form a 50-50 joint venture called Mobile Drive, which will be based in the Netherlands and function as an automotive supplier also to other carmakers. The new venture will combine advanced consumer electronics, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) to create new services “that will exceed customer expectations,” the companies said in a release. “Customers today and, in the future, demand and expect ever-increasing software-driven and creative solutions to connect the drivers and passengers with the vehicle inside and out,Â’Â’ Foxconn Chairman Young Liu. Weekly Recap: Things you might not know about the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcats

Sat, 16 Aug 2014

If you're an enthusiast, and you don't know that Dodge spawned another Hellcat this week, you really must have been living in cave. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is probably the biggest news for enthusiasts since the reveal of, well the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
But, there are some things you might not know or might have missed about the new Charger and Challenger Hellcats. For starters, reports that the Hellcat production would be limited to a low volume are not true.
"We have not capped the Hellcat on either the Challenger or the Charger," Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis said.

Performance doesn't matter anymore, it's all about the feel

Wed, Aug 24 2022

We've just had a week of supercars and high-end EVs revealed. Many of them boast outrageous performance specs. There were multiple vehicles with horsepower in the four-figure range, and not just sports cars, but SUVs with 0-60 mph times under 3.5 seconds. And it's not just a rarified set of supercar builders, comparatively small tuners are also building this stuff. Going fast is easy nowadays and getting easier. So what will distinguish the greats from the wannabes? It's all about how a car feels. This may seem obvious. "Of course it matters that a car should have good steering feel and a playful chassis!" you say. "Why are you being paid for this stuff?" But a lot of automakers have missed the memo. This past week I spent some time in a BMW M4 Competition convertible, and it's a perfect example of prioritizing performance over experience. It boggles my mind how a company can create such dead and disconnected steering; the weight never changes, there's no feel whatsoever. The chassis is inflappable, but to a fault, because it doesn't feel like anything you're doing is difficult or exciting. The car is astoundingly fast and capable, but it feels less like driving a car and more like tapping in a heading on the Enterprise-D. I also happened to drive something of comparable performance that was much more enjoyable: a Mercedes-AMG GT. It was a basic model with the Stealth Edition blackout package, and even though it had a twin-turbo V8 instead of a six-cylinder, it only made 20 more horsepower. The power wasn't the big differentiator, it was (say it with me) the feel. While not the best example, the steering builds resistance as you dial in lock, giving you a better idea of what's happening up front. Pulses and vibrations come back to you as you move over bumpy pavement in corners. The chassis isn't quite as buttoned down, either, providing a little bit of body roll that tells you you're pushing it. It's also easier to feel when the car is wanting to understeer or oversteer, and how your throttle and steering inputs are affecting it. The whole thing is much more involving, exciting and fun. 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition View 8 Photos That's also to say nothing of the Merc's sounds. That V8 is maybe not the best sounding engine, but its urgent churn through the opened-up exhaust gets your heart racing. It also seems like it's vibrating the whole cabin, so you feel it as much as you hear it.
