What can be said here...This is the most solid Dodge - Plymouth old car you will ever see. This car was restored to the highest standards back in 2007 and was race for a few years here and there. I will tell you the bottom of the car is painted as well as the top of the car . I can tell you that the owner who restored this car spent over $70000 in the restoration, the was motor, trans, dana rear, body and paint, interior, look at the door strikers that were redone....Nothing at all over looked...TRhis is one of the nicest cars I have ever had a chance to sell...Here is some of the information, I am sure to miss over some...
440 motor stroked to a 493 with close to 800 horsepower, I have driven 30 - 40 miles to work each way with no issues at all...The trans is all redone at a cost over $5000 with all rollerized internals, the rear was a 4.30 gear when ran at the track at a 9.90 at a 147 mph but was changed to a 3.54 to drive more on the street..The car is amazing...Look at the pictures..No short cuts here... I would drive this car any where knowing I have the baddest, nicest demon around..Plenty of trophies, I am not and never have been into car shows..I have owned this car twice, the owner who built this car is a amazing engineer..Again, you will not fine a better demon..Everything replaced in 2007...Driven less then a 1000 miles since...All steel....Ask questions if needed...I have sold so many cars on ebay none last once a buyer see's them, I do not and will not sell junk... car has a reconstructed - r title due to being modified in Pa....Never any rust, accidents, or anything wrong.. On Jun-24-14 at 18:13:43 PDT, seller added the following information: 440 stroke to a 493, 727 trans 4500 stall speed, dana rear with 3.54 gears, car is that nice guys - gals...If your local stop by...Call me or email me...Every part was replaced, rebuilt and redone in 2007...No short cuts ..Selling to finish my garage, you see with out the dry wall and insulation in these pictures....I have a few other cars also...71 Skylark convertible gsx clone with every availabe option, pw, ps, pb, ac, am, fm, 8 track, cruise, clock, gauge pkg, tilt and more...Lime mist green..Original white interior...Also, 72 duster, original paint, red, white interior, white vinyl top, white stripe, again all original, ac, ps, pb, rear defog, 945 rust free....Really cool car... On Jun-25-14 at 07:07:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Go to you tube and type in duster demon.....and 10 second demon to see the car at the track...A easy 2500 rpm launch....Car is 100%....Runs on 92 or better gas...Answer a few questions, the car is 100% able to drive on the street with no issues..Wheelie bars are for looks, car goes straight and a foot or so in the air..Built right..Lights, turn signals, horn, everything works as should..Seats and interior perfect, new seat foams were used, again no short cuts..I would only change to a wider front tire for more street use, never had power adders on this car.. |

Stellantis wants to outfit cars with AI software to drive revenue
Tue, Dec 7 2021MILAN — Carmaker Stellantis announced a strategy Tuesday to embed AI-enabled software in 34 million vehicles across its 14 brands, hoping the tech upgrade will help it bring in 20 billion euros ($22.6 billion) in annual revenue by 2030. CEO Carlos Tavares heralded the move as part of a strategy that would transform the car company into a “sustainable mobility tech company,” with business growth coming from features and services tied to the internet. That includes using voice commands to activate navigation, make payments and order products online. The company is expanding existing partnerships with BMW on partially automated driving, iPhone manufacturer Foxconn on customized cockpits and Waymo to push their autonomous driving work into light commercial vehicle delivery fleets. StellantisÂ’ embrace of artificial intelligence and expansion of software-enabled vehicles is part of a broad transformation in the auto industry, with a race toward more fully electric and hybrid propulsion systems, more autonomous driving features and increased connectivity in automobiles. Ford and General Motors also are banking on dramatically increased revenue from similar online subscription services. But the automakers face immense competition for monthly consumer spending from movie and music streaming services, news outlets, Amazon Prime and others. Stellantis, which was formed from the combination of PSA Peugeot and FCA Fiat Chrysler, said the software would seamlessly integrate into customers' lives, with the capability of live updates providing upgraded services over time. New products will include the possibility to subscribe to automated driving features, purchase usage-based car insurance or even increase the power of the vehicle with a tune-up to add horsepower. As a baseline, Stellantis generates 400 million euros in revenue on software-generated services installed in 12 million vehicles. To meet the targets, Stellantis will expand its software engineering team of 1,000 to 4,500 in North America, Asia and Europe. More than 1,000 of the expanded team will be retrained in house. Stellantis also announced a new partnership with Foxconn to develop semiconductors to cover 80% of the companyÂ’s needs and simplify the supply chain. The first microchips from the partnership are targeted to be installed in vehicles in 2024.
Dodge recalls 2011-2016 Charger to give owners wheel chocks
Wed, Feb 3 2016A bizarre new recall gives wheel chocks to Dodge Charger owners so that people remain safe while changing the sedan's wheels. The campaign covers 441,578 examples of the 2011-2016 Charger in the US; plus 19,229 in Canada; 4,969 in Mexico, and 38,947 outside the NAFTA region. According to Dodge's announcement, owners should use the chocks to stabilize the Charger when using a jack to change the wheels, like in the case of a flat tire. Without them it's possible for the sedan to fall off the jack. The company is aware of three minor hand injuries from this problem. Dodge will notify owners by mail when they can pick up the free wheel chocks. FCA US spokesperson Eric Mayne offered Autoblog a more detailed explanation about this recall. "The body structure of this vehicle is unique. If owner's manual instructions are not followed, slippage may occur. Chocks are being provided to help ensure the instructions are followed," he said. "We are continually analyzing warranty data to identify ways to improve the ownership experience. When tire-jack data was reviewed, we identified a need to further assist our customers." Statement: Wheel Chocks February 3, 2016 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is conducting a voluntary safety recall to supply wheel chocks for an estimated 441,578 full-size sedans in the U.S. The chocks are for use, as instructed in the vehicle's owner's manual, when employing a tire jack to change wheels. When positioned diagonally opposite to the wheel being changed, the chocks will help stabilize the vehicle. Failure to follow the manual's instructions with an affected vehicle may cause the vehicle to come off the tire jack. FCA US is aware of three related injuries – all minor. The recall is limited to 2011-2016 Dodge Chargers. Also affected by the campaign are an estimated 19,229 cars in Canada; 4,969 in Mexico and 38,947 outside the NAFTA region. Recall notices will advise affected customers when they may obtain their wheel chocks, which will be supplied free of charge. Customers with questions or concerns may call the FCA US Customer Care Center at 1-800-853-1403.
Stellantis axed the SRT engineer team, but performance isn't going away
Mon, Feb 15 2021Stellantis has broken up the Street & Racing Technology (SRT) engineering team that created over a dozen high-performance vehicles, including the Dodge Charger Hellcat, but the situation isn't as dire as it sounds. The newly-formed company assigned SRT's former engineers to different positions, where they'll continue to make hot rods. "All of the core elements of the SRT performance engineering team have been integrated into our company's global engineering organization," a spokeswoman told enthusiast website Mopar Insiders. She added that integrating SRT's personnel into other brands in the Stellantis portfolio will ensure that the lessons learned from decades of peddling speed will permeate other products. Previously, SRT operated with a high degree of independence. Don't get too excited. Her statement does not necessarily mean that Citroen will begin building cars powered by the Hellcat engine, though a C3 Chat D'enfer sounds absolutely epic. Technology transfer will likely be limited to fields like aerodynamics and thermal management, and the design department might learn a couple of neat new tricks. Dodge will still move forward with the development of its next SRT-branded cars; the decision to dissolve the SRT team will not affect future models, according to the spokeswoman. Whether they'll be powered by a V8 is up in the air, because company boss Tim Kuniskis warned that regulations are killing the eight-cylinder engine. Similarly, Jeep will continue designing high-performance models, like the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. What changes is that the model will be developed and designed by a group of engineers and designers from Jeep, not from SRT. SRT is dead, but performance isn't going away. SRT's demise nonetheless marks the end of an era for Chrysler. The division traces its roots to 1989, when some of the company's brightest minds were brought together to develop the first-generation Dodge Viper. It merged with Team Prowler to form the Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) group, which was renamed Performance Vehicle Operations (PVO) in 2002 and finally dubbed SRT in 2004. SRT has operated as the carmaker's in-house tuner since, its resume includes a diverse selection of cars ranging from the Neon SRT-4 to the 1500 TRX, and it was promoted to a standalone brand led by designer Ralph Gilles in 2011. Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) axed the SRT brand in 2014 but kept the name and the development team. Related video:
