Selling my beautiful 1971 Doge Demon that is a proven show winner, this car has won many best in show, best Mopar. It always comes home with a top award. Starting with an engine bay that you could eat off, that sits around a solid 440 BB, Holey 4 barrel, Dougs Header, dual exhaust. The paint is unbelievable Sublime Green, everybody loves the paint, the body is perfectly straight. A fiberglass 6 pak hood is installed but the original steel hood is included and is painted the same Sublime green and black to match the car. The tires sit on Riddler rims 17s in the front 18s in the back. The engine is bolted up to a 11 1/2 clutch and pressure plate mated to a 4 speed with a pistol grip shifter, this car is an original Hurst equipped car. The rear is a 8 3/4 with 390 posi gears. The chrome all around is in great shape. It has the original Radio, but it does not play, an aftermarket sound system with CD player has been installed. It still has the original bench seat, there are a few flaws in the stitching, my interior guy said a few hundred would take care of it but it still shows great. This is a show car but it is road worthy, it drives down the interstate with no problem, I usually do drive it to car shows up to 2 hrs from home. I have described it well but please come and look at it or your representative before bidding, you will be very impressed! Stellantis will give its brands 10 years to prove they deserve to live
Thu, May 13 2021Formed by the merger of PSA Peugeot-Citroen and Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles, Stellantis has 14 brands under its roof, a number that makes it one of the largest groups in the industry. Rumors claimed not every brand would survive, with Chrysler often earmarked to get axed, but the firm said it will give them all a chance to shine. "We're giving each (brand) a chance, giving each a time window of 10 years and giving funding for 10 years to do a core model strategy. The CEOs need to be clear in brand promise, customers, targets, and brand communications," announced Stellantis boss Carlos Tavares during the Financial Times' Future of the Car event. His comments confirm Chrysler fans and dealers don't need to worry about the future — at least not yet. And, against all odds, Lancia enthusiasts can breathe a sigh of relief, too. Former FCA head Sergio Marchionne warned of the brand's demise on several occasions. Alfa Romeo is safe for now, too, as is Vauxhall, which are basically just Opels sold in the United Kingdom with a different badge. The engagement made by Tavares also means Stellantis won't divest any of its brands to raise capital until at least 2031. It's now up to each executive team to make a case for the brand they run, an unusual survival-of-the-fittest strategy in an era when cutting costs is more common than spending cash. Diving into the vast Stellantis parts bin should help even the most troubled brands turn their fortunes around on a relatively tight budget. It seems likely that survive Chrysler will need to look beyond the 300 and the Pacifica/Voyager, the only models in its range, and completely reinvent its image, which is currently nebulous at best. Lancia, once the champion of luxury, performance, and innovation, faces the same challenge. It's not starting quite from scratch, it's relatively popular in its home country of Italy, but it will need to think globally and expand outside of the city car segment to survive. MotorWeek revisits the awesome, original Dodge Viper
Sat, Jun 6 2015MotorWeek is bringing the automotive world a wonderful blast from the past with its latest Retro Review. Not only does the video feature the now-famous, original Dodge Viper, but this is also a chance to watch one lapping Pocono International Raceway in a test of track prowess. This segment was MotorWeek's first chance to unleash the Viper around a racecourse, and the show took advantage of the opportunity. In addition to the usual 0-60 mph and quarter-mile tests, the 400-horsepower V10 is let loose to do lap after lap. The clip offers a great dose of nostalgia and is worth a watch to remember the intense enthusiasm surrounding the Viper at the time.
