U
p for sale is one of the finest examples of a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger that has been transformed into a real street monster, with the factory look.  I have owned the car for 9 years.  This dart is one of the nicest in the country.  This car is a head turner all day long, wherever you go.  It started its life brand new from Roosevelt Dodge in Philadelphia, with a 6 cylinder. auto. The second owner bought it from an 87 year old man who could not drive any more.  It had 32,000 miles on it.  He did the whole transformation.  I bought it from him, than added my own touches.  This car has the following:
MOTOR: 1970 440 cu.with a mild cam,
850 Holley,
TRANSMISSION : 4spd pistol grip.
The 4 speed trans is brand new was installed 2 years ago. I put 300 miles on it since then.every single 4 speed component is brand new, new hydro clutch set up, flywheel, pressure plate, starter, clutch and brake pedal assembly.  All linkage, shifter assembly, etc.  Every part in the front end is new.  Every bushing is new.  Big block torsion bars, front and rear bumper new, all chrome is in mint condition, electric fuel pump, it is mini tubbed, it has a fuel cell, it has a new nitrous set up (never used), front tires are new , new rugs, head liner has a tear 3 inch long, this car was professionally built. there is to much to list off the top of my head... Paint is perfect. P.S. I am selling this car for two reasons, I never drive it, maybe once every 3 months if not longer, and I am starting a new business.  The car has 45,876 original miles on it.  The car is also kept in a climate controlled garage with humidifier.  The car has never seen rain or snow, or a water hose ever.  From me, or the previous owner.  Give me a call if your interested or have any questions.  This car will not disappoint. I gaurentee it looks better in person than it does in the pictires

Chop the top of your new Dodge Viper for $35,000

Mon, 21 Jul 2014

We have good news, and we have bad news. First, the good: It's now possible to get a brand-new Dodge Viper roadster, which is nice, considering we're in the dead of summer and many of us like wind-in-the-hair motoring. Now, the bad: This is not a factory option from the automaker, instead coming courtesy of an aftermarket company called Prefix Performance, and that means it's going to cost you some serious coin.
Called Medusa, this drop-top Viper was created without the knowledge or consent of Dodge, but that's probably fine because Prefix works with the automaker already for the final preparation of the American supercar, including paint. According to the company, the current, fifth-gen Viper was built with a convertible version in mind, so no chassis strengthening is required. From the looks of the somewhat grainy photos available, the conversion appears of very high quality.
Want one? Well, that means you're going to need to procure a Viper - Prefix has 10 units ready for transformation as it stands - and that's going to cost at the very least $102,485. Then, you'll need to write a check for an additional $35,000 for Prefix to surgically remove the car's roof. Thing is, for that kind of cash, a prospective owner could buy, among other very nice options, a Viper hardtop and a loaded Miata, or a Corvette Stingray convertible and several pockets full of change. Or, perhaps a new Viper hardtop and a used, first-gen Viper convertible?

2015 Ford Mustang vs. Camaro and Challenger [w/poll]

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

The horsepower wars are tightening among the Detroit Three, as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger are getting bigger, more powerful, and yes, more fuel efficient.
That came into sharper focus this week as more information was revealed about the most insane Challenger ever - the 707-horsepower Hellcat - followed quickly by Ford's in-depth showcase of the 2015 Mustang in Dearborn.
It's shaping up to be a golden age for enthusiasts, and what's under the hood is becoming more important than ever.

Mopar maneuvers into SEMA with a multitude of modified models

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

As the aftermarket and performance arm of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Mopar has a duty to extract everything from the company's models that it can, and there's no better place to show all of its work off than the annual SEMA Show.
Dodge really gets in on the act this year with several customs to show off different parts of the brand's performance heritage. Perhaps the most interesting among them is the track-prepped Viper ACR Concept (pictured above). It wears a custom body kit to produce even more downforce, thanks in no small part to a monstrous wing at the back. To shed weight, most of the interior is stripped out, as well. Next up, the Challenger T/A Concept takes inspiration from '70s Trans-Am racing in a livery of Sublime Green and matte black paint. The center scoop in the hood keeps the 6.4-liter V8 fed with cool air, and the special's 20-by-9.5-inch matte black wheels keep it planted in the corners.
Also getting the once-over from Mopar is the Charger R/T. It wears the division's body kit, and under the hood, a cold-air intake keeps the 5.7-liter V8 breathing. The suspension is retooled to hold the road better with a coil-over kit, upgraded sway bars and strut tower braces for the front and rear. The company is also showing off a snazzy blue Charger with a mean look. The final Dodge getting work from Mopar is the Dart R/T Concept with bright, O-So-Orange paint and a matte black hood with a scoop hooked directly to the air intake. The performance-oriented design is finished off with a coil-over suspension and big brake kit, as well.
