Hartselle, Alabama, United States

Thanks for looking. This is a 1967 Dodge Dart that was built to run the 6.0 heads up class and to be street legal. It has a 500" Mopar engine that was built by R&R Speed and Machine in Huntsville Al. It made 721 hp on the dyno. The mains are cross bolted like a Hemi and everything is forged with all the best parts. It will handle up to 300hp of nitros if needed but there is not a system on it now. The trans and converter was built by PTC in Muscle Shoals AL. The converter is an 8" with 5500 stall. The trans is a 727 TF with reverse valve body and transbrake. The rear end is a narrowed Ford 9" with 4.56 gears and coil over shocks. The car has been back halfed with ladder bars. It has all new fuel system, new gauges, new electrical wiring, new 7al3, new aluminum radiator, electric fans, and many other parts. Oh, and new paint.

The engine and trans have NO passes! Just dyno time and in and out of my trailer. All the lights, turn signals work and has 3.5 inch dynomax mufflers. Car is street legal with DOT drag radials.

An inside look at Mopar's SEMA fleet

Fri, 31 Oct 2014

Mopar is heading to the SEMA show in Las Vegas with a fleet of customized vehicles that appeal to enthusiasts of all stripes. There's a Dodge Viper ACR concept that follows in the lineage of the supercar's great road racing past, and a custom Ram ProMaster that might just be the ultimate outdoor party machine.
We got an inside look at Mopar's cars that will be on display at the show, which also include a Dodge Challenger T/A concept, two crazy Jeeps and a Ram 2500 Outdoorsman that could change the way you camp. While these are some of our favorites, Mopar is bringing plenty to SEMA, so let us know your top choices in the comments section.

Dodge lets us drive 100-years' worth of history [w/videos]

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

A raft of important production models from the last hundred years were available for me to either drive or ride in.
Dodge is 100 years old this year. So, as happened on Ford's recent centennial, the 50-year birthday of the Porsche 911, and others, the company has an excuse to trot out the highlights of its history next to its upcoming model lineup, and declare that "these are the fruits of the Dodge Boys' tree whose roots have grown strong." Or something like that. Never so hampered by marketing skepticism that I'll pass up the opportunity to burn someone else's rubber, I was happy to drive out to Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, MI - former grand estate of the Dodge family - to hear the spiel.

2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit prepares to keep Hellcats in line

Wed, 13 Aug 2014

Earlier today, Dodge pulled the wraps off its 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat - a 707-horsepower sedan capable of sprinting to 60 miles per hour in 3.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 204 mph. Naturally, the car debuted in a bright shade of pull-me-over red, so it was fitting, then, that Dodge also brought its newly updated 2015 Charger Pursuit to keep everything under control.
No, cops won't be able to spec their Charger cruisers with the 707-hp Hellcat engine (oh man, imagine the chase scenes...), but law enforcement officials will be able to choose from either a 3.6-liter V6 or 5.7-liter Hemi V8, producing 292 hp and 370 hp, respectively. V8 models can be ordered with all-wheel drive, and Dodge estimates that with either engine, the Charger Pursuit can achieve up to 26 miles per gallon on the highway (thanks to the V8's four-cylinder mode).
Other updates for 2015 include improved braking power, a seven-inch display in the instrument cluster, a five-inch display in the center stack, and a new vehicle systems interface that could make it easier for police squads to install computer and radio equipment.
