1965 Dodge Dart

Our 1965 Dodge Dart was purchased in 1966 at Alan Dodge, Camp Hill PA and was previously owned by a local Camp Hill, Pennsylvania minister.

The same family has owned this 1965 Dodge Dart GT for almost 46 years.

This beautiful Dodge Dart GT is my wife's car. She retired a few months ago after teaching school of 36 years. The Dart was her baby and she took great care of it. However we intend to travel and will be selling it so that someone else can enjoy it as much as we did. It has won many trophies at car shows and over the last year or so we have had brand new tires installed on it, the entire front end has been professionally rebuilt, any minor rust was fixed with genuine Dodge replacement parts.

Back in 1970 the 13"inch stock wheels were replaced with the optional 14" inch wider wheels to improve the ride and handling.

With the optional 14"inch wheels, the 13"inch hubcaps no longer fit  so the optional 14"inch Dodge Mag Wheelcovers were put on.

A while back the front shock absorbers were replaced, and the rear shock absorbers were also replaced with upgrade to Monroe Air Adjustable shocks.

Within the last year the original vinyl top began to crack from age and the soft pastel yellow paint also began to lighten from age. Nothing but the best for my wife's baby-----A new original grain factory replacement vinyl roof was added and her car received a professional paint job in the color of Chrysler Lemon Twist yellow.

The interior of the Dart is totally original and is in excellent condition and looks like new as you can tell by the photographs.

It looks great, and it runs great, lots of pep and the tourqueflite transmission shifts beautifully and the engine does not burn oil and idle is smooth, exhaust is stock and quiet. iIt turns heads every place it is driven.

It includes:

225 Charger Engine

Power Steering

Special Order Mag Wheel Hubcaps

Optional 14” Wheels (standard was 13" inch)

Dodge Challenger returns to Trans Am

Fri, 15 Aug 2014

NASCAR's Nationwide Series may have switched (in appearance anyway) to muscle cars, but American racing fans know that if they want to see real muscle cars on the street circuits, the only place to look is Trans Am. The all-American racing series is packed with Mustangs, Camaros and even Corvettes. The one thing it's been missing is the Dodge Challenger, but now SRT Motorsports has announced it's bringing its muscle car back where it belongs.
Rather than waiting until next year, the Miller Racing team is switching mid-season to the new Dodge Challenger SRT Trans Am racer you see here, just in time for this weekend's race at Mid-Ohio. And not just that - it's lined up a compelling pair of drivers to pilot it, as well.
The No. 11 car will be driven by Trans Am legend Tommy Kendall, a four-time series champion who's been off the grid since 2004. Backing him up in the No. 1 Challenger will be none other than Cameron Lawrence, the driver who has won five out of six races in the Chevy Camaro so far this season, losing out only once to American racing scion Adam Andretti.

Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango to lose color options temporarily

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

In the market for a Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango? Well, if you fancy a more expressive color for your new SUV, you'd better get your order in, or plan on waiting until well into 2015.
The SUVs will be limited to just four monochromatic shades - black, white, silver and gray - until at least February, thanks to an upgrade to the paint shop at the two vehicles' Jefferson North factory. For the Grand Cherokee, that means it's losing more than half its color palette while the Durango is dropping two-thirds of its color catalog.
The loss of colors is inconvenient, but the upgrade will have a slightly bigger effect on the overall supply of SUVs, as Chrysler will need to end its relentless build pace at the factory for a three-week shutdown starting on December 22. The good news for fans of the SUVs is that once the work is completed, we should see a gradual expansion of the color palettes for both the Durango and Grand Cherokee, beyond even what's offered now.

Chrysler investigating complaints of vehicles with faulty power modules

Sun, 24 Aug 2014

Chrysler owners are hopping mad after experiencing a series of electrical gremlins in some of the company's vehicles. Issues range from mere annoyances - windows rolling down and radios turning off of their own accord - to serious safety issues, with headlights that randomly shut off at night and cars that stall and refuse to start.
The issues are being blamed on the total integrated power module, which can cost up to $1,000 for customers to replace. This, of course, has led to a hefty batch of complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with 240 owners expressing their displeasure so far. Another site, CarComplaints.com, has registered over 300 complaints relating to the 2010 to 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango, alone, according to The New York Times.
Chrysler has acknowledged that it's investigating the complaints and is analyzing the faulty TIPMs, but that isn't quite enough for customers of the affected vehicles. The newspaper has snagged a few of the more harrowing tales with the electrically challenged Chrysler products, culled from the NHTSA complaints.
