Up for sale is my 1965 Dodge Dart Wagon.  It is a project that I have had for about 5 years and haven't had time to complete.  It has a completely rust free body that is in excellent condition with no dents.  Been a California car all its life and doesn't have any of the common rust issues in the roof rails like most of these wagons have.  The entire front suspension has been rebuilt with heavy duty parts and large bolt pattern brakes upgraded to 11 3/4" rotors from a Cordoba.  V8 centerlink was installed and k member removed and painted.  Engine compartment was painted with 1965 Dodge two stage white paint already.  Rear end has not been finished but has a spring relocation kit and narrowed 8 3/4" rear end that comes with the car.  I can bolt in a stock rear to make the car roll.  Wheels are 15x8.5" Torque Thrust D in rear and 15x6" in front.  Front sheetmetal is all there but was removed to paint engine compartment.  It is in good condition.  4 speed pedals are installed and center has been cut for factory 1965 4 speed hump which is included.  I was planning on putting a big block in this car so made sure every part would hold up to it.  All body panels/bumpers to put back together are included.  Has new KYB shocks in all corners and factory woodgrain streering wheel.  It is not on file at DMV so will be sold with bill of sale only.

Chrysler recalling 280k Dodge Ram 1500 pickups over axle seizures

Fri, Dec 19 2014

Following a June investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will be recalling 280,000 Dodge Ram pickups from model year 2005. The issue, NHTSA told The Detroit News, centered on a loose pinion nut, which could cause the rear axle to seize and, potentially, the driveshaft to detach. The affected vehicles were built between January of 2004 and August of 2005, while of the 280,000 trucks, only 257,000 were sold in the US market. According to The News, the recall will begin on February 13, and will see owners report to dealerships to have "a retention feature" added to the pinion nut.

Toyota, Lexus dominate KBB's Best Resale Value Awards

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

Toyota and Lexus stormed the 2014 Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards, winning a combined 18 categories including best brand and best luxury brand. This marks the third year in a row that both automakers have won the Brand and Luxury Brand resale value awards. In all, Toyota won 11 categories and Lexus won seven.
Honda made a good showing, as well, winning two segments (Accord Plug-In Hybrid and Civic Si) and putting one car on the top-10 Best Resale Value list (CR-V). Chevrolet did even better, winning two segments (with the V6 Camaro and the Corvette) and placing three cars on the top-10-overall list (again, the Camaro and Corvette, plus the Silverado 1500).
The other winners came from Jeep, Dodge, Infiniti, Subaru and Audi. To give you a clearer picture of the Toyota and Lexus domination, their 18 mentions represents more than half of the 34 awards (including the top-10-overall list).

Dodge Dart Registry helps you crowdsource money for your next ride [w/video]

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

To be honest, we're surprised something like this didn't pop up sooner. Chrysler is riffing on gift registries for couples getting married or expecting babies and cross-pollinating it with a social media funding website like Kickstarter to help customers buy its 2013 Dodge Dart. The Dodge Dart Registry allows people to build and customize a new Dart exactly how they want it, then let other people purchase some or all of the components as gifts.
The registry lets you add features like dark headlights, dual exhaust, various wheels and even interior options without choosing a specific trim level. This sounds a lot like the system Scion uses to let its customers configure cars, and this could be a great idea for Dodge. Of course, this system has the added benefit of being a social media affair for you to share with your friends... you know, so they can help pay for some of the parts, too.
The best thing about the registry is that you can configure your dream Dart from the comfort of your home computer, which strikes us as much better than walking around Bed, Bath and Beyond for the better part of an afternoon with an electronic scanner. The one thing that Dodge doesn't offer? "Thank You" cards. Those are on you.
