1964 Dodge Dart GT 2 door Hardtop
runs and drives good driven every weekend to car shows and garage sales. this car has made two trips in past year to billings Montana from Denver Colorado in past year and no issues.
motor is a 1964 273 V8 its an original motor only been cleaned and repainted and new valve cover gaskets and oil pan gaskets where put on when motor was out,. it will need new valve seals as it smokes for a min when first started then stops.
has push button automatic works great no issues with shifting or anything but does leak transmission fluid so needs seals fixed, only leaks when it sits for a week with out being driven, have been told when dodges sit a while they drain fluid from torque converter back down in pan and over fill so can leak from dip stick tube or seals if they are not new or good. so I just check everything before ever driving it and make sure everything is ok and full...
has had a disc brake conversion done to it and the bigger bolt pattern 5x4.5 bolt pattern. so a lot more wheels will fit it also has new cragar ss wheels and tires are new also rears have raised white letters fronts are not but still new have about 5k miles on them from drives to Montana wheels are still 14 inches
license plate on back folds down and there is a tow package hidden behind it for pulling camper or small boat?
Other new parts :
Fuel tank, Fuel lines, Fuel sending unit, wind lace around the door interior part, weather striping for trunk, carpet, seats and door panels, headliner is new but a little wrinkly from only one person installing, custom rocker molding when door opens says dodge dart, tail lights are new, head light rings are new but one has a small ding in it now. brand new strut rod bushings, and Air shocks on rear, and the Radiator was rebuilt.
interior is a black and silverish grey which blends in very well with the aluminum and chrome trim inside the car. exterior is a dodge intense blue with electric blue pearl added to it... the antenna was new but got caught on shirt and broke so needs to be replaced again. all lights and gauges work even all the push button lights light up with headlight on.
windshield wipers work also but the lines and bag (has original bag/washer fluid bucket0 need replaced

Rare Dodge Daytona found in barn heads for auction
Tue, Dec 15 2015An American icon is headed to Mecum's Kissimmee, Florida auction next January. Charlie Lyons, owner of a restoration shop focused on old Chrysler products, got a lead on a two-owner 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona that had been sitting in a barn in Glenwood, Alabama for decades. Dodge built 560 Charger Daytonas (Canada and US production) to homologate the model for NASCAR racing, and then that car and the successor Plymouth Superbird terrorized NASCAR tracks for 18 months. The production car, however, 18 feet long and considered ugly, wasn't popular at the time, so many were beat up or simply disappeared. Around 385 are thought to exist today. Lyons said the first owner of this car was the town judge, who bought it for his wife. In 1974 the second owner - just 18 years old at the time - bought it for $1,800 so he could drive it to Panama City, Florida, for Spring Break, and had flames painted on the front fenders and the scallops trimmed in white. Otherwise this barn find is complete and stock, with matching numbers throughout, R4 Charger Red paint and a white tail, bucket seats, center console, three-speed TorqueFlite automatic, and 20,553 miles on the 440-cubic-inch Magnum V8. Hot Rod has the long story of how Lyons found the car and convinced the owner to sell for what he jokingly called "a shoebox full of folded money." Hagerty says a concours-worthy model can command $262,000. Mecum's pre-sale estimate for this Charger Daytona is $150,000 to $180,000. That sounds steep, but Mecum did sell another perfectly restored Hemi-powered 1969 Charger Daytona for $900,000 at this year's Kissimmee auction to actor David Spade. Related Video:
2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat [w/videos]
Tue, 22 Jul 2014Darrell Waltrip once said, "If the lion didn't bite the tamer every once in a while, it wouldn't be exciting." The sentiment behind that aphorism is causing my adrenal gland to wake up as Dodge and SRT drivers and engineers - somber-faced to a man - give me the track talk that will precede my driving the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT on the circuit at Portland International Raceway. PIR might not be Daytona, and the 707-horsepower Challenger Hellcat might seem tame to a legend like ol' Jaws, but there's a not-small part of me that's thinking about how hard Dodge's fire-breathing kitty might bite.
Just a few hours previous, I'd gotten behind the wheel of the Hellcat for the first time, letting its hyperbole-spitting, supercharged V8 Hemi pull me yieldingly through Portland's morning commuter traffic. Lulled into a cocky certainty by the Challenger's good manners at low speed, I drove the throttle just a hair too deep, too fast when I ran on to the highway ramp. For just an instant the rear tires were utterly drenched in torque, and the back end of the big Dodge loosened up like a drift car on a wet track. Throttle steer lives at the fleeting whim of your right foot in this car.
It was no big thing to lay off the gas and pull the Hellcat back in line as I entered the highway, but the incident did get me to thinking: What will this car do to me on a road course?
NHTSA investigating Chrysler for airbags, ignition switches
Wed, 18 Jun 2014Chrysler is being targeted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in a pair of actions that focus on over 1.2 million Jeeps, minivans and crossovers.
The first is a "preliminary investigation" that focuses on an airbag issue afflicting the Jeep Commander built in model years 2006 and 2007 and Grand Cherokee from 2005 to 2006. In total, 700,000 vehicles could potentially be affected. It's not entirely clear what the airbag issue is, with The Detroit Free Press simply stating that the restraint systems in the affected Jeeps may be "faulty."
The other investigation is what's called a "recall query" and it covers a problem that General Motors should be familiar with. In this case, there could be a problem with the ignition switches of 525,000 vehicles, ranging from 2008 to 2010 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans, to the 2008 to 2010 Dodge Journey crossover. Again, it's not entirely clear what sort of behavior prompted the 32 complaints that NHTSA has received on these vehicles.
