Sterling Heights, Michigan, United States

For sale is an award winning 1962 Dodge Dart 440 (4 DOOR).  Engine is a 318 Poly with the 727 automatic push button transmission.  I have yet to see another 4 door at any show or on the road!  Your chance to own a rare car!  The car is numbers matching and unrestored!  I have to double check, but I am pretty sure I even have the original bill of sale.  The car was sold in Miami, Fl.  Then moved to New Mexico.  The previous owner bought it there drove it home to Michigan and then it sat.

The car has 20,000 ORIGINAL miles on it.  Before I bought it, I know it sat covered up for a long time.  The car is all original.  The car starts right up!  ALL the chrome and stainless is there.  It is not it perfect shape, but it is all there.  Everything works and the car runs and drives great.  I take it out twice a week to cruise or to just drive.  I have gotten the car mechanically sound.  Next project was interior.  That needs a little work.  Nothing way too major.  Once again EVERYTHING is there!

-The transmission has been rebuilt within 100 miles ago by Godfather Racing.

-It has brand new TTI Polished headers

-New exhaust

-It as a new Edelbrock carburetor and air intake.

-I have also installed a Vintage Vibe radio (looks classic, but modern functions) and new speaker.

Also had the instrument panel painted because it was flaking badly, so I had it professionally painted.

-Steering wheel had been filled and repainted because that was cracking and kept pinching my hands            while I drove the car.

-All light inside have been replaced.

-Rear and front seat belts installed

-Previous owner put a coat of paint on the car.  He matched the color to the original.  The paint has some flaws, but over all pretty good.

-Has original Cragar 15" wheels with center caps.

Any other questions, please email me.  Please no low ball offers.  I have had 2 mechanics appraise the car and I have had others make offers, but I am trying craigslist because I have had nothing but good

I have had fun with this car and now it is time for someone else to enjoy it!

You Will NOT find another one in this shape with EVERYTHING there!

2015 Dodge Viper price drops $15k for 2015

Mon, 08 Sep 2014

We recently saw updated specs and new trims of the 2015 Viper, but it looks like the folks at Dodge were saving the biggest surprise for last. Prices on all levels of the American sports car are seeing an immediate, across-the-board price cut of $15,000; even 2014 models still remaining on dealer lots.
The new MSRP for the 2015 Viper in its base SRT trim now starts at $84,995, and when the TA and GTS come to the lineup later next year, they start at $100,995 and $107,995, respectively. The move seems like a swing for the fences that might help to quell slow sales.
Obviously, current Viper owners might be somewhat peeved that their investment was just re-priced by the company. However, to assuage some of their concerns, Dodge is giving all fifth-gen owners a certificate worth $15,000 towards the purchase of a new one, which comes in addition to the price reduction.

Are you the Dodge Dart SRT4?

Tue, 08 Jan 2013

Dodge has just confirmed that it will be bringing its newest Dart variant, the Dart GT, to Detroit next week, but we're still in the dark about when we'll see a truly hotted-up SRT4 version. But now, by way of the rumormill anyway, we've got at least one proposed, potentially Dodge-based rendering to light our way.
Seen here is what would appear to be a design sketch of the SRT4 Dart. Obviously the image that has surfaced is of rather low-resolution, but there's at least some evidence to support that it may be legitimate. In the original picture, one can just make out the name Tim Doyle in the lower right corner. As it turns out, Tim Doyle's name is also watermarked on the final design image for the 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel Black & Tan, a model that was shown at SEMA in 2010.
Of course, even if this really is the work of Doyle, there's nothing to say that this image isn't one of a great many potential looks for the future SRT4. In fact, the departure of the cross-hair grille from the Dodge's nose seems like it could be a hard sell, though we do, naturally, dig the sleek hood scoop and the bulked up wheel/tire combination.

2015 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak previewed

Fri, 29 Aug 2014

Dodge and Mopar have never strayed far from success in drag racing, be it on run-what-you-brung nights at the local strip or at the highest levels of the sport. Hoping to both add to that heritage and capitalize on some of the media spotlight that's shown so brightly on the brand of late, Dodge has given us our first look at the 2015 Mopar Challenger Drag Pak test car.
Though this first iteration doesn't make use of the 707-horsepower Hellcat engine, it seems to be a pretty formidable racing package. Starting with a stock '15 Challenger, Mopar adds a full roll cage built to National Hot Rod Association specs. Rubber front and back is drag racing-ready as well, with 28x4.5-inch tires in the front, and fat 30x9-inch tires out back - all from Hoosier.
Powering the beast is a massive 426-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) Hemi Race V8, with output levels that are still unspecified. A Chrysler 727 automatic transmission connects up to a racing style shift lever, with integral line lock.
