2004 Dodge Dakota Slt -4wd -v8- Super Low Miles - Remote Start - Front Hitch on 2040-cars
Xenia, Ohio, United States
I bought this from a Dodge dealership to use in cold snowy weather during the winter and for occasional trips to Lowes. It is my "2nd car" which is why it has such low miles. I have never had a problem with the truck for as long as I have owned it, and kept regular maintenance. I had new shocks and brakes put on 2 years ago, a new battery this last Fall, and I replaced the muffler and tail pipe a few weeks ago.. (My kids decided it would be a good place to put your foot bounce and climb into the truck..and cracked the weld from the pipe to the muffler) anyway I just replaced it all with new parts. There is also a front 2" hitch on it, that I use to mount my snow plow. You get the hitch but not the plow :) I also installed a remote start. 90% of the use was used to clear my driveway of snow during the Winter hence the added options and to drive to work when there was ice on the roads. The only reason I am selling is because my kids are getting older and they need more room to fight in the back, otherwise I love the truck. It has the original bed liner from the dealer and the over all condition is clean. There are some small dings in the paint but nothing "major" I have since bought a larger truck to accommodate the family, so I am just using it to plow the drive (EVERY WEEK! I'm so sick of snow now!) I hope she goes to a good home, it has been a great truck... oh I never understood the 3 letter nomenclature Sport, SLT etc.. no where does it say that on the truck or VIN plate or manual but it has cab seating in the back and is 2 doors with the V8 engine.

121k Dodge Darts being investigated over braking problem
Mon, Jun 22 2015The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating the Dodge Dart due to reports of braking problems. Some 121,000 cars are possibly affected, all from the 2013 model year. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA received 18 complaints about the brake pedal becoming hard to depress on these cars, increasing stopping distance. Drivers reported hearing a "pop noise or an air hissing noise when applying the brake pedal, followed by a hard pedal feel and reduced brake effectiveness," NHTSA told the News. In a particularly terrifying incident, one driver says the Dart's braking system shut down while driving at 50 miles per hour. "I feared for my life. It is one of the scariest things I have ever dealt with," the complaint said, according to The Detroit News. A Fiat-Chrysler spokesperson said the automaker is "fully cooperating" with this investigation.
Hero gets his truck back better than new thanks to community support [w/video]
Sun, 29 Jun 2014You ever hear a story and start cringing before you hear the end because you know how it's going to turn out? That could very well have been the case with the story from a few weeks ago in West Valley City, Utah, where a 14-year-old kid stole his grandfather's Hyundai Veloster and took it for a joyride - through a park full of children. But instead it turned into a heart-warming tale of heroism and a community banding together to do what's right... and then some.
Bryson Rowley was that hero who identified the danger and, rather than sit idly by and watch the joyrider potentially run over a child, got into his truck and drove it into the menacing runaway hatchback. The collision caused some $7,500 to his 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, but instead of getting stuck with the bill - one which his insurance may very well have refused to pay since the crash was, technically speaking, intentional - his community pitched in a helping hand.
Bryan Ellison, who owns West Valley Carstar with his brother, saw the news on television and wanted to help. So he brought Rowley a rental car, picked up his truck and brought it back to his auto repair shop. People from around the community donated parts, and when all was said and done, some $15,000 of work and upgrades were performed on the Ram that was returned to an overwhelmed Bryson Rowley better than new. Watch the video below for the full story.
2014 Dodge Durango priced from $29,795*
Wed, 14 Aug 2013With all the new updates the Dodge Durango is getting for 2014, one thing that Dodge isn't changing on its big SUV is the starting price. Just like the current model year, the 2014 Dodge Durango will be priced from $29,795 (*not including $995 for destination).
This price is for the base SXT model, but the 2014 Durango is also offered in a new Limited trim level (replacing the Crew) as well as the sporty R/T and the luxurious Citadel. The Durango Limited starts at $35,995 (an increase of $800 over the 2013 Crew), while the R/T now starts at $38,995 (up $2,500). The top-of-the-line Durango Citadel will start at $40,995 - an increase of $1,000.
The many improvements made to the 2014 Durango include revised exterior styling, added in-cabin tech and an eight-speed automatic transmission (expected to return better fuel economy). Dodge is saying that the V6 models will get 25 miles per gallon on the highway while V8 models are expected to score 23-mpg highway, but there are no official EPA numbers to report yet.
