2003 Dodge Dakota Sport Extended Cab Pickup 2-door 4.7l 4x4 on 2040-cars
Medina, Ohio, United States
2003 Dodge Dakota Sport 4x4 with the 4.7L V8 engine. Solid truck, accident free, non smoking vehicle with highway miles. The truck has bed liner, rear window, very clean interior, shift on the fly 4 wheel drive, and factory tow package. No rips or tears in the seats or cracks in the dash. Carpet is in good condition with no unusual wear. All dials and gauges work with no error codes or warning lights. The air conditioner compressor was replaced last summer and the air is ice cold. Just installed new brakes on all 4 wheels, and the serpentine belt was replaced as preventative maintenance. It has a K&N aftermarket air cleaner for increased performance and fuel economy. Rear tires have 85% tread left, the front tires have 25% tread remaining. Paint is all original and shiny and overall in good condition. There is rust on the rear bumper and a little on the tailgate, but otherwise the truck still looks very good. There is damage to the plastic wheel surrounds on the drivers side after scraping a post. They are barely noticeable, and could be easily replaced as no metal was damaged. There are several scrapes and dings around the bed of the truck, but no major damage. Most would be covered with an over the rail bed liner (current one is not), or spray on bed liner. I have never towed anything with the truck but the engine is powerful and will do a great job with boats and campers, etc. Also, I have never used the truck for plowing. Finally, there is an exhaust leak and it will need repaired or replaced, but otherwise I know of no other mechanical issues that need to be performed. There are no fluid leaks, smoke, or funny noises with the engine, it is a perfect running truck. It drives straight and the suspension is tight and responsive. I used the truck as a daily driver and construction delivery vehicle and have owned it since Oct of 2012. I have taken the truck to New Jersey and North Carolina on a regular basis and would trust the truck to drive it across the country.
This would make an outstanding first vehicle, landscape truck, or 4x4 toy. The lucky bidder will not be disappointed with this truck. $500 due immediately upon purchase and balance due in cash. I'll help with shipping if needed, and would encourage test drives or independent inspections. If you have additional questions, please call 330.421.1510. KBB says the truck is worth $4622 based on the mileage in "good" condition. Best of luck to all! |

Dodge Charger Pursuit nets quickest lap in police car test
Mon, 30 Sep 2013We wouldn't advocate trying to outrun the police, no matter what you're driving and no matter what they are. But if you see a Dodge Charger bearing down on you with blue lights flashing in your rearview mirror, you'd better think twice before attempting to flee, because the Charger Pursuit has once again emerged as the fastest police cruiser out there.
In the latest Police Vehicle Evaluation held by the Michigan State Police at Grattan Raceway, Dodge says its new Charger Pursuit AWD posted a lap time of 1:33.85. That's quicker than any of the other law enforcement vehicles present, but also makes it the quickest all-wheel-drive cruiser available to law-enforcement officials. That may not make it the quickest of all time, but that honor belongs to the rear-drive Dodge Charger Pursuit, which cuts a fraction of a second off its AWD counterpart's time with a 1:33.70. But in regions where the extra traction could come in handy, that's as negligible a difference as we've ever seen.
Of course, the annual PVE sessions held by the Michigan State Police take in to account a wide variety of performance tests, including top speed, acceleration, braking, handling, fuel economy and ergonomics. The MSP has yet to reveal its full findings from its 2014 model year tests, but we'll be sure to bring them to you when they are published.

Watch the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat verify its 204-mph top speed
Thu, Jan 29 2015The industry is producing some ridiculously fast four-doors these days, from the Porsche Panamera and Maserati Quattroporte to the Mercedes E63 AMG and BMW M5. But the fastest of them all doesn't cost six figures. It doesn't even come from Europe. It's made right here in North America, by a US automaker. And it starts at under $64k. We're talking about the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, the Pentastar muscle sedan with the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 and its 707 horsepower. Dodge claims it's the "quickest, fastest, most powerful [production] sedan ever," and they're not just blowing smoke... or smoking tires. During the final stages of development, engineers from Auburn Hills took a bone-stock, Hellcat-powered Charger out to a seven-mile oval for a top speed run and they filmed the occasion for posterity. The result? 206.9 miles per hour with the wind, 202.2 against it, for a two-way average top speed of 204.55 mph. Chew on that, imports.
