THIS IS A 2003 DODGE DAKOTA 4WD, CREW CAB WITH A 4.7 ENGINE. THE TRUCK HAS 126000 MILES ON IT, I AM DRIVING IT DAILY BACK AND FORTH TO WORK SO I WILL HAVE A FEW MORE MILES BY THE TIME SOMEONE BUYS IT. THE TRUCK HAS A 2 WAY VIPER REMOTE START, IT HAS A MATCHING RANCH TOPPER AND HAS NEWER TIRES. THE TRUCK HAD A NEW TRANSMISSION INSTALLED ABOUT A YEAR AGO RIGHT BEFORE I BOUGHT IT, YOU CAN TELL IT IS NEWER BECAUSE IT SHIFTS SMOOTH AND WORKS FLAWLESSLY. THE TRUCK ALSO RUNS LIKE A CHAMP, IT HAS NEVER GIVEN ME ANY TROUBLE. THE ONLY THING I DID TO IT WAS PUT NEW TIRES ON IT AND HAVE THE REMOTE START INSTALLED.

IT HAD A CLEAN CARFAX AND I GOT REAR ENDED, VERY LIGHTLY, SO I AM NOT SURE IF THAT WILL SHOW UP ON CARFAX OR NOT BUT IT WAS VERY LIGHT HIT AND THE REAR BUMPER ON IT NOW IS ALL THE DAMAGED IT CAUSED, THE PERSON THAT HIT ME HAD NO INSURANCE AND YOU CAN BARELY TELL THERE IS DAMAGED SO I NEVER HAD IT REPAIRED BUT IF IT SHOWS UP YOU CAN SEE FIRST HAND HOW LIGHT THE HIT WAS. BESIDES THE RER BUMPER THE ONLY OTHER THING WRONG WITH THE TRUCK IS IT IS MISSING 3 OF THE LITTLE 2 INCH WHEEL CENTERS WHICH HAS THE SMALL DODGE HEAD EMBLEM ON THEM, I ORDERED THEM TODAY AND THEY SHOULD BE HERE IN A FEW DAYS SO THEY WILL BE ON THERE BY THE TIME SOMEONE BUYS THE TRUCK. EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE TRUCK WORKS PERFECTLY, A/C BLOWS ICE COLD AIR, HEAT WORKS GREAT, ALL THE POWER OPTIONS WORK PROPERLY INCLUDING THE CRUISE CONTROL. I DRIVE THIS LONG DISTANCES ALL THE TIME WITH NO WORRIES,  THE ENGINE IS AS SOLID AS THEY COME. I FORGOT, IT DID HAVE A TUNE-UP RIGHT BEFORE WINTER AND NEW BRAKES LAST FALL.

I DO HAVE THE TITLE IN HAND AND AM READY TO SELL THIS TRUCK

I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW, IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND WILL ANSWER THEM RIGHT AWAY. THIS TRUCK IS REALLY NICE AND IF YOU ARE NEEDING ONE THIS IS DEFINITELY ONE TO LOOK AT

I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF EBAY FOR MANY YEARS, I HAVE BOUGHT AND SOLD SEVERAL CARS AND EVEN A BOAT THRU EBAY AND I KNOW WHAT IT LIKE TO HAVE TO TRUST SOMEONE YOU ARE BUYING FROM, PLEASE LOOK AT MY FEEDBACK AND SEE THAT I AM HONEST AND TRY TO DESCRIBE MY ITEMS TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY.

I WILL REQUIRE A $500 DEPOSIT WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE AUCTION ENDING.

IF YOU WANT THIS VEHICLE SHIPPED, YOU NEED TO MAKE THE ARRANGEMENTS AND YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OF THOSE CHARGES.

***IF YOU LOOK AT THE VEHICLE HISTORY IT SHOWS MILEAGE PROBLEM WITH TITLE, I HAVE TRIED TO HAVE THIS CORRECTED AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT SINCE THE AUCTION WHICH SOLD THE VEHICLE MESSED UP THE MILEAGE WHEN THEY REPORTED THEY HAVE TO BE THE ONES TO CORRECT ISSUE, I HAVE TRIED WITHOUT SUCCESS TO FIX THIS. I WILL GIVE YOU THE DEALER'S NAME AND NUMBER WHICH BOUGHT IT AND YOU CAN CONFIRM THIS. I REALLY THOUGHT THIS WAS FIXED BY THE AUCTION PEOPLE ONLY TO FIND OUT NOW THAT THEY DID NOT MAKE THE CORRECTION, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LOOK AT THE MILEAGES LISTED AND YOU CAN SEE IT IS CORRECT.***

I AM TOLD THAT IT IS CORRECT ON CARFAX, I HAVE TO PAY A FEE TO CONFIRM THIS SO AT THIS TIME I HAVE NOT CONFIRMED IT BUT ANOTHER EBAYER JUST EMAILED ME AND SAID IT IS CORRECTED ON CARFAX.

Are supercars becoming less special?

Thu, Sep 3 2015

There's little doubt that we are currently enjoying the golden age of automotive performance. Dozens of different models on sale today make over 500 horsepower, and seven boast output in excess of 700 hp. Not long ago, that kind of capability was exclusive to supercars – vehicles whose rarity, performance focus, and requisite expense made them aspirational objects of desire to us mortals. But more than that, supercars have historically offered a unique driving experience, one which was bespoke to a particular model and could not be replicated elsewhere. But in recent years, even the low-volume players have been forced to find the efficiencies and economies of scale that formerly hadn't been a concern for them, and in turn the concept of the supercar as a unique entity unto itself is fading fast. The blame doesn't fall on one particular manufacturer nor a specific production technique. Instead, it's a confluence of different factors that are chipping away at the distinction of these vehicles. It's not all bad news – Lamborghini's platform sharing with Audi for the Gallardo and the R8 yielded a raging bull that was more reliable and easier to live with on a day-to-day basis, and as a result it went on to become the best-selling Lambo in the company's history. But it also came at the cost of some of the Italian's exclusivity when eerily familiar sights and sounds suddenly became available wearing an Audi badge. Even low-volume players have been forced to find economies of scale. Much of this comes out of necessity, of course. Aston Martin's recent deal with Mercedes-AMG points toward German hardware going under the hood and into the cabin of the upcoming DB11, and it's safe to assume that this was not a decision made lightly by the Brits, as the brand has built a reputation for the bespoke craftsmanship of its vehicles. There's little doubt that the DB11 will be a fine automobile, but the move does jeopardize some of the characteristic "specialness" that Astons are known for. Yet the world is certainly better off with new Aston Martins spliced with DNA from Mercedes-AMG rather than no new Astons at all, and the costs of developing cutting-edge drivetrains and user interfaces is a burden that's becoming increasingly difficult for smaller manufacturers to bear. Even Ferrari is poised to make some dramatic changes in the way it designs cars.

8 things you learn while driving a cop car [w/videos]

Tue, Jan 27 2015

Let me start off with the obvious: it is absolutely illegal to impersonate a police officer. And now that that's out of the way, I'd just like to say that driving a cop car is really, really cool. Here's the background to this story: Dodge unveiled its redesigned 2015 Charger Pursuit police cruiser, and kindly allowed Autoblog to test it. That meant fellow senior editor Seyth Miersma and I would spend a week with the cop car, and the goal here was to see just how different the behind-the-wheel experience is, from a civilian's point of view. After all, it's not technically a police car – it isn't affiliated with any city, it doesn't say "police" anywhere on it, and it's been fitted with buzzkill-worthy "NOT IN SERVICE" magnets (easily removed for photos, of course). But that meant nothing. As Seyth and I found out after our week of testing, most people can't tell the difference, and the Charger Pursuit commands all the same reactions as any normal cop car would on the road. Here are a few things we noticed during our time as wannabe cops. 1. You Drive In A Bubble On The Highway Forget for a moment that our cruiser was liveried with Dodge markings instead of those of the highway patrol. Ignore the large "NOT IN SERVICE" signs adhered around the car. Something in the lizard brain of just about every licensed driver tells them to hold back when they see any hint of a cop car, or just the silhouette of a light bar on a marked sedan. Hence, when driving on the highway, and especially when one already has some distance from cars forward and aft, a sort of bubble of fear starts to open up around you. Cars just ahead seem very reluctant to pass one another or change lanes much, while those behind wait to move up on you until there's a full herd movement to do so. The effect isn't perfect – which is probably ascribable to the aforementioned giveaways that I'm not really a cop – but it did occur on several occasions during commutes from the office. 2. You Drive In A Pack In The City My commute home from the Autoblog office normally takes anywhere from 25 to 30 minutes, and it's a straight shot down Woodward Avenue from Detroit's north suburbs into the city, where I live. Traffic usually moves at a steady pace, the Michigan-spec "five-over" speed.

This SEMA special drag race is absurdly awesome

Fri, Dec 5 2014

The SEMA Show came and went last month, and it showed us a ton of heavily modded goodies to dream about during the long, cold winter. The Motor Trend Channel on YouTube is keeping the party rolling a little longer, though, with a drag race inspired by the aftermarket event. All of the hosts were supposed to borrow a vehicle from the show for the big race, but only two of them actually cajoled companies into lending their wares. Still, the result includes four very cool and extremely different examples of the breadth of the automotive hobby. First up, there's a 1955 Chevrolet with a 535-cubic-inch (8.8-liter) Hemi V8 stuffed under the hood. Appropriately, it's dubbed the Blasphemi, and with skinny tires up front, fat rubber in the rear and a stripped interior, this this is made to go very fast in a straight line. Next, there's a stock Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat boasting 707 horsepower. Plus, host Jessi Lang has her dog riding shotgun for the race. A Chevy Sonic RS with some body mods, downpipe and intake is also competing. Finally, the most bizarre of the quartet is a custom 1958 Jeep Forward Control with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and treads to replace the wheels. Obviously, the Blasphemi and Hellcat are the only two that really have a chance of winning, but check out the video to see which one crosses the finish line first.
