I am selling my 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4bt. It has about 4000 miles on it since the conversion and the truck had 124,000 miles on it when I did the conversion. This truck had the 4.7 v-8 and a 45rfe auto tranny. I built the 4bt and changed it to a P-pump, with laser cut delivery valves, 4k gov springs. The pump was completely gone through by Scheid Diesel. I installed Lighting00121 injectors also from Scheid, which are equivalent to a 370 Marine injector. The head is O-ringed to handle the boost. I also us HD Rod Bolts from Haisley Machine and gapless rings on the pistons. I have a front cover from a 97 Dodge Ram 6bt on the engine. It also uses the same vacuum pump and power steering pump and AC Compressor and starter from a 2001 Cummins Ram. I also installed a 1 wire alternator that was converted over from a new 1 for a 2001 Ram. It uses the same idler and fan hub pulley setup from the 01. I do have a Fluidampner installed that I pickup my RPM signal from. Twin turbos are a turbo from a common rail ram HE341 manifold charger and a HX-55 for the atmosphere charger. Woodruff Diesel fabbed up the twin setup and made a custom intercooler for it as well. K&N Air filter. The engine is a solid mount system with rubber in between the mounting points. The transmission is also a solid mount. I put a 47RE in there and it uses a Stand-Alone Computer to control it from PCS. It has a Suncoast valve body used in conjunction with the PCS. I still have the stock torque convertor in there and the tranny had been gone through before installation. It has the 231 transfer case behind that, which came in the truck. It uses the stock driveshafts. I made my own instrument cluster that fits where the original went in the dash. All the necessary gauges and are all Auto Meter. I do have turn signal and bright light indicator lights in the bezel. AM/FM CD Radio that I installed a cable that plugs into the Audio out port on a Sirius Satellite radio. I also used the electric fan that came original in the truck. Keeps the truck at or below 180* and it is on a switch. I also have a direct switch for the Air Conditioning. The normal heater and fan controls still operate normally with the exception af the AC being on its own switch. Windows are tinted 5% with Llumar High Performance film and it does have a windshield visor. Extremely clean truck and it does have a custom paint job. It is the Dodge Metallic Grey faded into the 08 Dodge Metallic black. Aftermarket headlights, cowl hood, roll pan. Factory plastic bed liner. It has new Mastercraft Courser HSX tires 265/75/16 on stock wheels, I wanted it to look like a "sleeper". At the moment I do have the front differential removed as I didnt need 4wd this year, but it can easily be re-installed. When fabbing up for the swap I retained the front differential so I have the brackets made that support it from the engine. It will need 2 new CV Shafts when re-installed though. Front driveshaft will also come with the truck. I made the transfer case mechanical and had a push-pull cable to change the transfer case postion. It does have a FASS fuel system on the vehicle it is 125GPH @ 45psi. Its part number is HD D10 125G. Custom made oil pan. I am sure I am forgetting something so if you don't read it please ask and I can answer for you. It also has a billet tappet cover. Black cloth interior that is in good shape except for a burn in the driver seat from the previous owner. Husky liner floor mats.

2015 Dodge Viper GTC available in 25 million no-cost combos with 1 Of 1 bespoke program
Thu, Jan 8 2015What's the one thing no car can have too much of? Here's a hint – it's not power. It's not efficiency, either, or technology, or even safety. It's exclusivity. It's one reason Rolls-Royce has become a legend building absolutely bespoke motor vehicles, and it's the reason Dodge, of all companies, is offering a new GTC trim level for its Viper supercar. Now, you might be asking what's so special and exclusive about a trim level? Well, in the Viper GTC's case, it gives owners access to a catalog of 8,000 shades of paint for the exterior, 24,000 "hand-painted" custom stripe patterns, 10 different wheel options, 16 interior trims and no fewer than six aerodynamic packages. That results in 25 million different configurations for the 645-horsepower snake. Most shockingly, the customization choices come at no additional cost on the GTC model. And it's only the start. Ordering a GTC will enroll customers in a unique VIP program called Viper Concierge, which according to Dodge, "offers an exclusive point of contact throughout the custom Viper build process." In other words, buyers will be given the means to stay right on top of their car's production, through the 140-to-160-hour painting process, which itself will be fully documented with pictures and through a mobile-friendly website, to the actual construction of their GTC. The Concierge process will start with the ordering stage, which will include Dodge sending customers a paint chip showing the owner's custom choosing, which they can confirm or refuse. Shortly thereafter, Dodge will send buyers a 1:18-scale "speed-form" replica in their chosen custom colors, once again to confirm or deny the build. Once the buyer's color and option selection is locked-in, that car becomes a one-of-one Viper for that year – no other buyer will be permitted to build a Viper to the same specifications. The concierge service also grants access to the Viper Ambassador Owner's Portal, where orderers can track their car's build process, receive weekly updates and share their excitement with (jealous) friends and family. And once the car is complete, it will be fitted with a custom dash plaque identifying its bespoke provenance – the owner can choose to have their name put on the badge, the car's nickname, or whatever they wish (Dodge will also ship each Viper with a second blank plate to include if the original owner sells the car).
Highway To Hellcat: Dallas to Vegas with 2,000 HP
Thu, Jan 15 2015Fort Davis, TX. Early November. Late Sunday afternoon. The 1,200 residents of this small town are using their day of rest to quietly enjoy the breeze rolling off the hills. There's an older couple walking down the street, holding hands. A young lady working at a general store, where milkshakes and antacids are purchased at the same counter. It's a peaceful, quaint scene, right down to the tumbleweed rolling across the street and the rickety wooden porches outside the old storefronts. I hit the throttle of the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat while turning left onto the road leading toward the town square, sending the sedan's rear end swinging to the right with a few puffs of rubbery smoke. I coast down to the 25-mile-per-hour speed limit and spot the line of Challengers, Chargers, and Vipers in my rear-view mirror, the drivers all mimicking my quick jolt of enthusiasm before pulling up the reigns on their V8s and V10s and idling into Fort Davis. Our posse would roll some 5,000 horsepower of pure American muscle into that small Texas town that day. It was only the first stop on an epic journey that would take us from Dallas to Las Vegas, on a winding route down toward El Paso, up through New Mexico, Arizona, and finally north into Nevada, ending at the ritzy Palazzo casino and hotel on the Vegas strip. It was an opportunity to see parts of America I never knew existed, and a chance to bond with some American cars that until recently, I sort of failed to understand. And most importantly it was an opportunity to drive really, really hard. Charging Through Texas Unless you've driven across it, it's hard to understand the massive space that is Texas. In places, scanning 360 degrees of horizon reveals absolutely nothing. Nothing. On its own, driving from Dallas to El Paso covers some 630 miles. Veer south to Fort Davis and you'll add another 70 onto that, not including the 75-mile Davis Mountain Scenic Loop where I found bliss behind the wheel of this insanely powerful sedan. I always expected to like the Charger Hellcat – comfortable seating for four (five in a pinch), equipped with the latest tech, wrapped in a stylish yet muscular body, like a quarterback in a tux. And it moves. The supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 pumps out 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, which makes for one quick sedan, especially considering its heft.
Mopar teases four of 'nearly 20' SEMA Show concepts
Fri, Oct 23 2015Yesterday it was Chevrolet. Today, Mopar has dropped some SEMA knowledge, releasing a quartet of teaser images that give us some indication of what kind of cars, trucks, and crossovers Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram will be showing in Las Vegas. Like Chevy, Mopar's concepts utilize both production and concept accessories, although Fiat Chrysler has gone a bit more indepth on at least one of its concepts. Immediately, the most tantalizing teaser is the one shown above. Yes, that's the back of a Challenger, and aside from the bright orange accents on the gray body, you should take notice of the badge mounted on the spoiler – yes, that says "GT AWD." To be honest, such a vehicle wouldn't be a huge shock, as both the Challenger's LX platform-mates, the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300, are offered with all-wheel-drive options. Still, adding such a vehicle to the production cycle would give Dodge a leg up on the rear-drive only Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. Aside from that concept, FCA has also released teasers of a Ram-based concept, a 300-based concept, and what we're guessing is a Fiat 500X. We can't wait to see what the actual Fiat concept has to do with kiteboarding. As for the 300 and Ram, there's not a lot of hints on what sort of styling details they'll contain. The Chrysler has additional LED accents and what we're guessing is matte blue paint, while the Ram is based on a Hemi-powered 1500 with Rebel styling cues. This is just a very tiny sample of Mopar's final SEMA roster, which include "hundreds" of parts. There should also be a total of 20 vehicles covering all four former Chrysler Group brands, as well as Fiat. Naturally, we'll have plenty to report on each vehicle once the SEMA show kicks off in the next couple weeks.
