Salem, Virginia, United States
Up for sell is this 1996 DODGE DAKOTA SLT EX-CAB PICKUP 4X4!! SELLING AT NO RESERVE!!!!! This was a local vehicle which was traded in from friends of mine. This truck is equipped with the very dependable 318 MAGNUM V8. Which runs and drives out great. It has plenty of power and was just serviced. It does seem to have a small amount of oil that leaks with time. Other than that a good strong motor. This is a 4X4 and functions properly. The transmission is automatic with overdrive and functions great and shifts out smooth. This truck is the SLT pkg and Ex-Cab which is very sought after. The truck was originally grey in color and was being prepped for paint. That is why part is in primer and part is original paint. One thing however there is no RUST!! The truck is straight as an arrow. The interior is Grey Cloth with no rips or tears. Does have a few stains in seats. I have not detailed the truck yet and a lot of it will come clean with a good detail. Back seat folds down and has additional storage underneath. Plus it comes with Sliding Rear Window. The dash is in great shape with no cracks. All Gauges, Buttons and options function as they should. It does come with a In Dash CD Player. It truck also has a sunroof and does not leak. Power Windows and Locks work as they should. It also has rain shields on both doors. This truck is equipped with Tow Package and also a 5TH wheel Tow Pkg. It has a bedliner and is in good shape. This truck has Chrome Wheels Covers and Raised White Letter Tires which have plenty of life. This truck has AC and blows cold and heat work great too. The odo show 172926 actual miles! It comes with a current Va inspection. Any inspections are welcomed! If you have any other questions please call 540-537-1223 and leave a message or email me at general.imports.salem@gmail.com. I cant think of anything this truck needs other than a good home and new owner. Maybe some new paint if you want too? Remember this truck is going at NO RESERVE!! DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!! Mopar maneuvers into SEMA with a multitude of modified models
Wed, 05 Nov 2014As the aftermarket and performance arm of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Mopar has a duty to extract everything from the company's models that it can, and there's no better place to show all of its work off than the annual SEMA Show.
Dodge really gets in on the act this year with several customs to show off different parts of the brand's performance heritage. Perhaps the most interesting among them is the track-prepped Viper ACR Concept (pictured above). It wears a custom body kit to produce even more downforce, thanks in no small part to a monstrous wing at the back. To shed weight, most of the interior is stripped out, as well. Next up, the Challenger T/A Concept takes inspiration from '70s Trans-Am racing in a livery of Sublime Green and matte black paint. The center scoop in the hood keeps the 6.4-liter V8 fed with cool air, and the special's 20-by-9.5-inch matte black wheels keep it planted in the corners.
Also getting the once-over from Mopar is the Charger R/T. It wears the division's body kit, and under the hood, a cold-air intake keeps the 5.7-liter V8 breathing. The suspension is retooled to hold the road better with a coil-over kit, upgraded sway bars and strut tower braces for the front and rear. The company is also showing off a snazzy blue Charger with a mean look. The final Dodge getting work from Mopar is the Dart R/T Concept with bright, O-So-Orange paint and a matte black hood with a scoop hooked directly to the air intake. The performance-oriented design is finished off with a coil-over suspension and big brake kit, as well.

Rare Dodge Daytona found in barn heads for auction
Tue, Dec 15 2015An American icon is headed to Mecum's Kissimmee, Florida auction next January. Charlie Lyons, owner of a restoration shop focused on old Chrysler products, got a lead on a two-owner 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona that had been sitting in a barn in Glenwood, Alabama for decades. Dodge built 560 Charger Daytonas (Canada and US production) to homologate the model for NASCAR racing, and then that car and the successor Plymouth Superbird terrorized NASCAR tracks for 18 months. The production car, however, 18 feet long and considered ugly, wasn't popular at the time, so many were beat up or simply disappeared. Around 385 are thought to exist today. Lyons said the first owner of this car was the town judge, who bought it for his wife. In 1974 the second owner - just 18 years old at the time - bought it for $1,800 so he could drive it to Panama City, Florida, for Spring Break, and had flames painted on the front fenders and the scallops trimmed in white. Otherwise this barn find is complete and stock, with matching numbers throughout, R4 Charger Red paint and a white tail, bucket seats, center console, three-speed TorqueFlite automatic, and 20,553 miles on the 440-cubic-inch Magnum V8. Hot Rod has the long story of how Lyons found the car and convinced the owner to sell for what he jokingly called "a shoebox full of folded money." Hagerty says a concours-worthy model can command $262,000. Mecum's pre-sale estimate for this Charger Daytona is $150,000 to $180,000. That sounds steep, but Mecum did sell another perfectly restored Hemi-powered 1969 Charger Daytona for $900,000 at this year's Kissimmee auction to actor David Spade. Related Video:
