1990 Dodge Dakota Factory Convertible, 4x4 on 2040-cars
Oakland, New Jersey, United States
Up for sale is a rare 4x4 model of the 1990 Dodge Dakota factory convertible pickup
truck with automatic trans. As you may or may not know, these trucks are quite rare and were a limited production vehicle, also, make
note that the 1990 model year only produced 909 units of these trucks, where
less than half of those were the 4x4s, making the '90 and the 4x4 model the more rare. They also offered
grey plush buckets seats w/ center console and interior, which was not avail. in the '89's.
Also, in 2015 they become an "official" classic at 25 yrs old and collector values will rise. The truck has low original miles at 91k and is a second owner vehicle. It is an automatic, w/power windows and door locks, ps, pb, tilt wheel, cruise control, a/c, this truck runs, drives and shifts very well, the inside and out is good condition, the 4x4 work just fine and vehicle has low miles, the frame good and solid. Now of course the truck isn't perfect at 25 yrs old with some light scratches and a couple dings, there's a cracked fender flare in the pic, the white top is original, I found all maintenance records done at local repair shop. Brakes had been recently done and has a new front bumper. This is a good truck worth its price and will be worth even more as time goes on. Bid now to own a piece of history and something you'll not see many of the same driving around, ya know, like Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers and the like... Truck has the original manuals and original dealer window sticker, showing it retailed for over $20,000 when new. Again, I need to mention the 1990 model year produced only 909 of these trucks, and the 4x4 units were even less, so the1990's are the more rare. You can be a proud owner of a Dodge Dakota Sport Factory Convertible pickup truck at a very affordable price, so get in on buying one now before not many are left to buy! After all with only 909 units produced in 1990, then you can minus all the trucks that were wrecked and went to the junkyard since then and some were 2wd and some were 4x4's, that tells me there are not many1990 Dakota Convertibles 4x4's left in existence, maybe a couple hundred, if even that. Happy bidding! |

Chrysler banks $507 million in Q2, trims 2013 earnings forecast
Tue, 30 Jul 2013Chrysler has some good news and some bad news. First, profits were up 16 percent over the second quarter of 2012, bringing the Auburn Hills, Michigan-based manufacturer $507 million on the back of strong demand for trucks and SUVs (a recurring theme this quarter, particularly in the US). Q2 revenue was up as well, from $16.8 billion in 2012 to $18 billion in 2013. The bad news is that the Pentastar's overall earnings forecast for net income in 2013 has been trimmed from $2.2 billion to between $1.7 and $2.2 billion, according to Automotive News.
In addition to the adjusted net income forecast, Chrysler tweaked its operating profit from $3.8 billion to between $3.3 and $3.8 billion. This has gone largely unexplained by Chrysler, perhaps hoping the news of a three-percent increase in its transaction prices for Q2 will allow it to sweep this adjustment under the rug.
The star of the show for Chrysler has been its US sales, which saw a 10-percent jump, both bettering the industry average of eight percent and improving over the same stretch of 2012. As with the increase in transaction prices, Chrysler has the new Ram pickup and Jeep Grand Cherokee to thank. Perhaps most worrying from this report, though, is that every brand in the automaker's stable saw an increase in sales... except for the Chrysler brand itself.
Chrysler recalls AWD 300, Charger, Ram 1500 over ZF transmission
Tue, 24 Dec 2013What do the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Ram 1500 all have in common? Yes, they're all Chrysler products, and two of them are based on the same platform. And we're sure you could find more similarities between them all, but the common trait we're looking at here is that, while they all come standard in rear-drive form, they're also available with all-wheel drive. And it's the transmission in those models that's the subject of the latest recall notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The output shaft on the eight-speed automatic transmission supplied by ZF to Chrysler for the AWD versions of the 300, Charger and Ram 1500 is apparently prone to fracture. That in the end could leave the vehicle without power and could, according to the NHTSA investigation, increase the chance of a crash. The vehicle could also roll away if even if left in Park without the handbrake applied.
That's why Chrysler is calling in 4,194 examples of those three models from the 2013 model year. Dealers will be responsible for inspecting the transmissions and, where necessary, replace the entire unit. See the full recall notice below for all the details.
2013-14 Dodge Viper recalled over faulty door handles
Fri, Apr 10 2015The 2013-14 Dodge Viper is getting a voluntary recall affecting 1,762 cars worldwide to replace their door-handle assemblies. Of the affected vehicles, FCA US reports there are 1,451 in the US, 160 in Canada, 17 in Mexico and 59 of them outside of NAFTA. After receiving three reports of doors either not closing or opening while driving a low speeds, FCA US engineers found a new sealant from a supplier didn't provide sufficient moisture protection to the electronic switches for the door latches. If the parts get wet, this can potentially cause a short circuit. The automaker is quite clear that are no reports of accidents of injuries from this problem. As always, the recall repairs will be done at no cost to owners, and FCA US will be getting in touch with customers soon about the problem. Related Video: Statement: Door-handle Assemblies April 9, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is voluntarily recalling an estimated 1,762 cars globally to replace their door-handle assemblies. FCA US launched an investigation after the Company received three warranty claims linked to doors that failed to close or opened inadvertently while vehicles were moving at low speed. The Company is unaware of any related injuries or accidents. Engineers determined a sealant, newly adopted by a supplier, provided inconsistent moisture protection to the electronic switches that control the door latches. Switches exposed to moisture may short-circuit. Affected are approximately 1,451 model-year 2013-14 Dodge Viper SRT cars in the U.S.; 160 in Canada; 17 in Mexico and 59 outside the NAFTA region. Affected customers will be notified and advised when they may schedule service, which will be performed at no cost. Customers with questions may call the FCA US Customer Information Center at 1-800-853-1403.
