Rare Unrestored Original 1972 Dodge Coronet Custom Extremely Clean Condition. on 2040-cars
Boise, Idaho, United States
This is a very clean example of a Dodge Coronet. This car has been garaged all of its 40+ year existence and it shows! Original carpet is plush and looks good. The seats are awesome, the back seat is covered by a clear seat protector! This car has one slight crack in the dash. The vinyl top is remarkable for it's condition. The Seat belt system rings until you finally put your seatbelt on even! All the lights work and the transmission was checked over and serviced fairly recently. It does leak a tad of oil when running but nothing extreme, just showing signs of an unrestored 318 Gaskets aging. Everything. The paint has not oxidation from what I can tell. The bottom was undercoated, there is not even any surface rust under this car! Not kidding and I will be taking better pictures in the coming days as these are the only pics I have now. The passenger side armrest is there but needs replaced as it has cracked and previous owner Taped it.
There are only two issues with this car. 1. The Factory AC needs serviced as it is not working. 2. There is some trim on the passenger side that is damaged due to a garage accident. Only the trim was damaged and no damage occurred to the body. I am attempting to find some original replacement passenger side trim now and will negotiate this into price if it is fixed or unfixed. This is basically a one family owned car. Original owner titled car to children in 2005. I acquired this car this year. I can be reached @ 208-293-6114 Tom |

Weekly Recap: Things you might not know about the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcats
Sat, 16 Aug 2014If you're an enthusiast, and you don't know that Dodge spawned another Hellcat this week, you really must have been living in cave. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is probably the biggest news for enthusiasts since the reveal of, well the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
But, there are some things you might not know or might have missed about the new Charger and Challenger Hellcats. For starters, reports that the Hellcat production would be limited to a low volume are not true.
"We have not capped the Hellcat on either the Challenger or the Charger," Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis said.
Detroit's new fleet of donated police cars have safety issues [w/video]
Wed, 23 Oct 2013In a show of generosity in mid-August, Detroit's business leaders donated $8 million to the Police Department and Fire Department in order to buy 100 new police vehicles and 23 EMS ambulances. But now officers have discovered - and complained - that the police vehicles have glaring safety issues, Deadline Detroit reports. It is not made clear what models of the fleet vehicles - which include police versions of the Ford Taurus, the Chevrolet Caprice and the Dodge Charger - are affected by the safety issues.
Officers reportedly have complained that the Plexiglass partition separating front-seat officers and back-seat prisoners is easily breached, and that the front passenger seat is installed too close to the dashboard. Prisoners who manage to writhe out of their handcuffs can bend the Plexiglass and reach into the cockpit, and sitting too close to the dashboard can render airbags more dangerous and make officers more vulnerable to injury in a crash.
Mark Diaz, president of the Detroit Police Officers Association, received the complaints and reportedly said the vehicles would get safety updates addressing the issues. But Deadline Detroit reports that it checked some of the offending police cars and, as of the last few days, they hadn't been updated.
SRT back to Dodge, Dart SRT, new Challenger, Charger and Caravan's death outlined in 5-yr plan
Tue, 06 May 2014The onslaught of news from Fiat Chrysler's layout of five-year plans continued with Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis this morning, including the unexpected announcement that SRT was coming back into the fold.
After just a few years existing as an independent entity within the Fiat Chrysler universe, an unceremonious press release hit in conjunction with today's lineup of announcements, saying "the SRT family of vehicles will be consolidated under the Dodge brand." Group CEO Sergio Marchionne thanked SRT headman Ralph Gilles for his dedication to the high-performance wing, calling out is efforts in expanding the vehicle lineup and including more customized models. He did not reference disappointing SRT Viper sales today, but we sense there's a bit of subtext.
With the SRT reunion at Dodge, it's appropriate that some of the most exciting product announcements for the next five years have to do with upcoming performance products. First out of the gate will be a refresh for that flagging Viper in 2015, which comes as little surprise.
