1970 Dodge Coronet Superbee R/t Clone Candidate on 2040-cars

Year:1970 Mileage:20304
Location:

Cosby, Tennessee, United States

Cosby, Tennessee, United States

Here's a nice 1970 Dodge Coronet, California built car.  Pretty rare to find these California built cars.  Has no engine, transmission is not original to car.  Area's around the front and rear glass are very good, as is the Dutchman panel.  Would make a great clone car.  I will bullet list the particulars of the car so they are easier to read:

  • If you have less than 10 feedbacks, or have negative feedbacks within the past year, please contact me prior to placing a bid.  It sounds harsh, but if you do not contact me, I will cancel your bid and block you from bidding.  This is a protection against non-qualified bidders ruining the auction for serious buyers.
  • Appears like the car has never been wrecked
  • REAL RAMCHARGERS HOOD WITH GENUINE MOPAR SCOOPS!
  • Decklid is VERY nice with just a little rust starting under one corner.  Decklid in this condition alone worth $500
  • Front fenders are very nice with a small amount of rust just in one bottom corner and a slight dent in same fender.  If you know these cars, then you know the fenders fit a Superbird.  What are they worth in this condition to a Superbird collector?  See additional pics.
  • Car come with some additional pieces in the trunk.  You can see what is in there...I will not list them out separately
  • NO Fender tag is present on the car.  I did not find a build sheet in the car.
  • Appears to be the original 8 3/4 rear end with the 489 third member.  Not sure if it is a sure grip.
  • Car has power steering, manual DRUM brakes up front
  • Looks like it was a bench seat car, but I am including 2 bucket seats with the car.  I do not have the bench seat.
  • Power drivers seat.  Have not tried it so don't know if it works or not.
  • Automatic transmission is on the column.
  • Car has no radio with it.
  • Tires hold air very well.  Whoever hauls the car will need to have a winch to pull it up on the trailer.
  • Please do not ask what the reserve is.  If you would like to make an offer on the car, email me.  Please don't ask what I would take for the car.  Make an offer or bid.
  • I reserve the right to end the auction early since the car is advertised elsewhere.
  • The payment terms are not negotiable.  Bank wire transfer in full within 48 hours of auction ending.  If you cannot meet these terms, please do not bid.  I DO NOT TAKE PAYPAL ON THIS CAR.

View all 150 pictures of the car, click on or copy and paste this link in your browser:  http://s1302.photobucket.com/user/Mountainmuscle/library/1970%20Coronet

As you can see by the pictures, the car has some rust issues.  However, it is a very good start to a clone Superbee or Coronet R/T.  If you add up the sum of the parts, this car is a real bargain for the collector.

If you have questions, please email me.  Please do not take offense if my replies are short.  I believe in being to the point.

2015 Dodge Viper price drops $15k for 2015

Mon, 08 Sep 2014

We recently saw updated specs and new trims of the 2015 Viper, but it looks like the folks at Dodge were saving the biggest surprise for last. Prices on all levels of the American sports car are seeing an immediate, across-the-board price cut of $15,000; even 2014 models still remaining on dealer lots.
The new MSRP for the 2015 Viper in its base SRT trim now starts at $84,995, and when the TA and GTS come to the lineup later next year, they start at $100,995 and $107,995, respectively. The move seems like a swing for the fences that might help to quell slow sales.
Obviously, current Viper owners might be somewhat peeved that their investment was just re-priced by the company. However, to assuage some of their concerns, Dodge is giving all fifth-gen owners a certificate worth $15,000 towards the purchase of a new one, which comes in addition to the price reduction.

FCA CEO Mike Manley will take undefined new role after PSA merger

Wed, Dec 18 2019

MILAN — Fiat Chrysler Chief Executive Mike Manley will remain with the new group set to result from a planned merger with French rival PSA-Peugeot, Chairman John Elkann said on Wednesday. In a letter to Fiat Chrysler (FCA) employees on the day the two companies announced a binding agreement for a $50 billion tie-up to create the world's fourth-largest carmaker, Elkann said he was "delighted" that the combined group would be led by current PSA CEO Carlos Tavares. "And Mike Manley, who has led FCA with huge energy, commitment and success over the past year, will be there alongside him," he said. He did not say what position Manley would hold. Elkann — who will chair the new group — said there was still much to be done to complete the merger. "Over the coming months we must work tirelessly and determinedly to fulfill all the approval requirements needed to finalize the commitment we have signed," he said. Jay Leno drives a 1970 Dodge Charger with 1,650 horsepower

Tue, Feb 23 2016

When Jay Leno says a vehicle might have too much horsepower, he's got our attention piqued. That's exactly what he thinks about the 1970 Dodge Charger Tantrum from Wisconsin-based SpeedKore Performance. While it still looks like a classic muscle car, the front end now features a carbon fiber hood and fenders. Underneath the lightweight parts, there's a twin-turbo, 9.0-liter Mercury Marine offshore boat racing engine with an astonishing 1,650 horsepower, or an only slightly less asinine 1,350 hp on pump gas. Jay is very mechanically intrigued by the Charger at the beginning of this video, and puts it on the lift to take a look at the underside. The engine plumbing is a thing of beauty, and the mill packs a massive radiator and intercooler to keep things running cool. Leno's drive in the Tantrum is especially interesting. The beastly engine is difficult to control, and anything above half throttle in most gears can spin the rear tires. The significant turbo lag also makes the power unpredictable. When Jay finally finds a straight piece of road, he puts the hammer down and rockets into the distance. And, of course, you know Jay's not going to end the video without some suitably smoking tires.
