UP FOR AUCTION IS A 1969 CORONET 500 THAT I RECENTLY TRADED FOR TO USE FOR A PARTS CAR FOR A STRIPPED AND RUF 69 CORONET R/T THAT I THOUGHT I HAD A DEAL ON BUT THE OWNER DECIDED ( HE WAS STILL GOING TO FIX HER UP SOME DAY ) THE CAR CAME BRONZE WITH BLACK INTERIOR NO POWER STEERING OR BRAKES. THIS CAR HAS RUST IN THE USUAL PLACES FLOOR, TRUNK PAN, TRANS CROSSMEMBER, QUARTERS . THE REAR SECTION OF FRAME RAILS MUST HAVE BEEN RUSTY YEARS AGO AND WERE REPLACED WITH RECTANGLE TUBING AND IT LOOKS LIKE THEY DID A GOOD JOB BUT ITS NOT CORRECT BUT I THINK IT WOULD BE FINE TO DRIVE .LOOK AT PICS. THE CAR HAS VERY GOOD TRIM , GRILLE AND TAIL PANEL, FRONT CLIP , DOORS AND INTERIOR PARTS WITH BUCKET SEATS AND BUDY SEAT CONSOLE. THE CAR WILL RUN WITH GAS TANK INSTALLED. I THINK THE ENGINE IS A 318 BUT THE PREVIOUS OWNER INSTALLED A MILD CAM ,EDELBROCK PERFORMER RPM HEADS ,INTAKE AND CARB. THIS COULD BE A GREAT MOTOR FOR ANOTHER PROJECT AS WELL.. CHECK OUT THE OLD UNDER DASH A/C UNIT. I DONT KNOW IF IT WORKS BUT IT IS INTACT AND COMPLETE. THE CAR COMES WITH GEORGIA BILL OF SALE AND LAST STATE TAG REGISTRATION . Mopar '14 teased, returns to Challenger
Wed, 16 Oct 2013Every year, Mopar selects one special vehicle from the Chrysler portfolio and creates its own, one-off, special edition. Previously, there was the Mopar '13 Dart, '12 300, '11 Charger and the '10 Challenger, and for 2014, this teaser image shows that the company will be giving the unique treatment to Dodge's muscle coupe yet again.
Mopar has not revealed any details about its '14 Challenger, though the brand's president and CEO, Pietro Gorlier, says that "This limited-edition ride is for muscle-car fans who love high octane and customizable performance." All we know is, it's white, has some blue stripes, and a black (or carbon fiber) rear spoiler.
We'll know more when the Mopar '14 Challenger is revealed at the SEMA show in early November. In the meantime, click the image above to check out the teaser in high resolution, and have a look below for Chrysler's official press blast.
Are you the Dodge Dart SRT4?
Tue, 08 Jan 2013Dodge has just confirmed that it will be bringing its newest Dart variant, the Dart GT, to Detroit next week, but we're still in the dark about when we'll see a truly hotted-up SRT4 version. But now, by way of the rumormill anyway, we've got at least one proposed, potentially Dodge-based rendering to light our way.
Seen here is what would appear to be a design sketch of the SRT4 Dart. Obviously the image that has surfaced is of rather low-resolution, but there's at least some evidence to support that it may be legitimate. In the original picture, one can just make out the name Tim Doyle in the lower right corner. As it turns out, Tim Doyle's name is also watermarked on the final design image for the 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel Black & Tan, a model that was shown at SEMA in 2010.
Of course, even if this really is the work of Doyle, there's nothing to say that this image isn't one of a great many potential looks for the future SRT4. In fact, the departure of the cross-hair grille from the Dodge's nose seems like it could be a hard sell, though we do, naturally, dig the sleek hood scoop and the bulked up wheel/tire combination.
