1969 1/2 Dodge Coronet Superbee A12 Car on 2040-cars

Year:1969 Mileage:64000
Location:

Perrysburg, Ohio, United States

This is a restored 1969 1/2 Dodge Coronet Superbee A12 4-Speed Car.  Lets start under the hood.  First of all, just pull the four pins and grab a friend and set the hood on the roof.  That vinyl top saves a lot of trouble.  Theres a correct 054 radiator up front, hooked up to the motor new radiator and heater hoses held fast by correct Corbin clamps. A set of MSD spark plug wires connect a blaster 2 coil to a tuned orange-box fortified electronic ignition distributor.  The original air cleaner assemble hosts a correct reproduction air cleaner element and hides the rebuilt and detailed carbs, complete with the proper choke and fast idle solenoid assemblies. A new ballast resistor next to the restored wiper motor and master cylinder is on the firewall.

This is a full rotisserie job with Hemi Orange paint everywhere including the undercarriage.  It has a Dana 60 410 Gear Ratio.  Rebuilt brakes front and rear with new lines and hoses.  A new reproduction exhaust system compete with a big X pipe and DynoMax Ultra Flo welded mufflers for a different and very authoritative sound. Competition Engineering shocks are adjustable up front for a good day's drag racing. A new fuel tank and sender and new lines supply fuel forward and round out a well detailed, rebuilt chassis. Open up the trunk to find the spare, proper jack and a new trunk mat.  All fresh and show ready!

Beautiful bucket seats and center console are inside. New gauge bezels add sparkle as do the new armrest bases and inside door handles. All soft trim from the headliner to the door panels to the carpet is new as is the original Hurst shifter. The gauges read brightly with the tachometer as a welcome addition to the dash, the upper door frames were repainted and accent the new door panels and the seats are perfect for short bursts of speed or a decent cruise  hop in'

The body is very straight, the gaps are excellent and the doors close very nicely. The latches and strikers are zinc plated and excellent paint in the jambs.  Up front you'll find a freshly re-chromed bumper underneath a very nice grille before moving up th that mammoth black hood. The riveted hood pin bezels are correct as are the short lanyards. The rear bumper is also re-chromed and sits below an excellent tail panel and taillight set. All four gloss black steel wheels are wrapped with brand new F70 x 15 Firestone redlines on correct "H" wheels.

This is a very attractive well restored car.

2013 Dodge Dart gets all Moparized

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

Last year, Chrysler announced it would be offering more than 150 Mopar parts and accessories on the 2013 Dodge Dart, and we got a look at some of these parts firsthand at the Chicago Auto Show. Showing off all the optional parts at once would surely create a gaudy monstrosity, so Chrysler chose to equip this particular Dart GT with just a handful of Mopar goodies, which still gave the car a nice and tasteful custom look that is available straight from the dealership (and with a full warranty, too).
Decked out in a factory color called Header Orange Clear Coat - also a very appropriate show car hue - this car added exterior styling parts such as the vented, carbon fiber hood, the bolt-on front chin spoiler and a matte black decklid spoiler. Looking inside the car, you'd think the red-accented interior is part of the Mopar parts bin, too, but this is actually what the standard Dart GT cabin will look like when it goes on sale.

Chrysler minivans under investigation for stalling after fuel refill

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, at least one man has reported that his 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan stalled unexpectedly on the highway shortly after being refueled. The unidentified man who contacted NHTSA regarding the issue cited as many as eight similar instances reported by other drivers.
NHTSA has announced that it will launch an inquiry into this issue, which could affect as many as 160,000 minivans from Dodge and Chrysler that were sold in 2007 (or more, if a problem is found that extends to additional models years, we'd assume). As of yet, there's no formal investigation, let alone a recall, on these vans, as the agency is merely determining if further action is needed.
Two months ago, Chrysler recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles, the majority of which were minivans, from the 2008-2010 model years to replace ignition switches after an investigation found that their weak springs and detent positions could fool a driver into thinking the car was in the "Run" position, when it's actually in the "Accessory" position.

Are you the Dodge Dart SRT4?

Tue, 08 Jan 2013

Dodge has just confirmed that it will be bringing its newest Dart variant, the Dart GT, to Detroit next week, but we're still in the dark about when we'll see a truly hotted-up SRT4 version. But now, by way of the rumormill anyway, we've got at least one proposed, potentially Dodge-based rendering to light our way.
Seen here is what would appear to be a design sketch of the SRT4 Dart. Obviously the image that has surfaced is of rather low-resolution, but there's at least some evidence to support that it may be legitimate. In the original picture, one can just make out the name Tim Doyle in the lower right corner. As it turns out, Tim Doyle's name is also watermarked on the final design image for the 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel Black & Tan, a model that was shown at SEMA in 2010.
Of course, even if this really is the work of Doyle, there's nothing to say that this image isn't one of a great many potential looks for the future SRT4. In fact, the departure of the cross-hair grille from the Dodge's nose seems like it could be a hard sell, though we do, naturally, dig the sleek hood scoop and the bulked up wheel/tire combination.
