1967 Dodge Coronet on 2040-cars
Hamburg, New York, United States
I am the second owner of this vehicle and it has a clean title, registered and inspected every year. Car will start up in one key turn every time. This car has a beautiful exterior and has only been painted once. with a few minor scratches and very minor bubbling behind the rear tires. Chrome is not perfect and has wear but as you can see still in extremely good condition. Trunk and floor are solid. Very minimal if any rust on the bottom of the car. Pictures were taken May 17th, 2014. 440 engine with 500 hp. Engine was taken from a different Coronet 500, rebuilt and placed in this vehicle at 21,000 miles. Extremely strong and well running motor. Starts on first key turn even in the most brutal of conditions. Hurst quarter shift, clutch-less manual 727 TorqueFlite transmission (can also be automatic transmission placing shifter in gear 3 from the start) posi rear end (383 gears). The car's previous owner and grandson used it for drag racing and is why there is a 440 engine in a base Coronet along with Hurst shifter/center console and modern radio. When I bought the car the interior was all metal and had after market gauges. Rug and interior were redone in the first year I owned the vehicle. I have owned this car for 6 years and have been restoring it from a dragster back to a street car. This car has never seen snow and has been stored in climate controlled garage every winter. PAYMENT: Cash upon pick-up only. Buyer is reasonable for pickup within 72 hours of auction ending. Please contact me immediately after auction ends to arrange time and date. Car sold as is. If full payment is not received within 72 hours I reserve the right to relist/sell the car to another entity. Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. |

Mopar '13 Dart priced from $25,485*
Wed, 12 Jun 2013For the past few years, Chrysler's Mopar in-house tuning division has created its own one-off versions of several cars in the automaker's portfolio, including the Mopar '10 Challenger, Mopar '11 Charger and Mopar '12 300. For 2013, the black-and-blue up-do has been given to the new Dart compact, and Chrysler has announced that the limited-edition sedan is now available for order, priced from $25,485, not including *$995 for destination.
Like previous Mopar edition vehicles, the Dart is painted in a signature Pitch Black exterior with an offset blue racing stripe. The sedan sits seven millimeters lower to the ground and gets visual add-ons like a chin spoiler, decklid spoiler and rear diffuser, along with gloss black 18-inch alloy wheels.
Performance wise, the Dart's 1.4-liter MultiAir inline four-cylinder engine remains, producing 160 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Mopar car gets a sport-tuned exhaust system along with revised power steering calibration and beefier brakes.

Sun, 14 Apr 2013Dodge and SRT Motorsports announced that the Dodge Dart will be returning for its sophomore season of the Global Rallycross Championship with a two-car team fielded by Pastrana Racing. Travis Pastrana drove his GRC Dart to victory lane in the fourth race of the car's inaugural season, and his race team is looking for even more success with the addition of off-road racer Bryce Menzies behind the wheel of the second car.
The 2013 GRC season kicks off on April 21 in Brazil with plenty of dirt-spewing, ramp-jumping action. Scroll down for a video from the cars' main sponsor, Red Bull, and a press release from Chrysler.
Total auto recalls already on record pace in 2014
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you've noticed that there have been more recalls than usual this year, you may be on to something. According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the US market is on pace to break a record for recalls. In 2013, 22 million cars were recalled. We're only a third of the way through 2014, though, and we've already halved that figure, with 11 million units recalled. That's wild.
Considering the past few months, it shouldn't be a surprise that General Motors is leading the charge, with six million of the 11 million units recalled coming from one of the General's four brands. Between truck recalls, CUV recalls and the ignition switch recall, 2014 hasn't been a great year for GM.
Other recall leaders include Nissan (one million Sentra and Altima sedans), Honda (900,000 Odyssey minivans), Toyota (over one million units in a few recalls), Volkswagen (150,000 Passat sedans), Chrysler (644,000 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs) and most recently, Ford (434,000 units, the bulk of which were early Ford Escape CUVs). So while it's been a bad year for GM so far, its competitors aren't doing too well, either.
