Chrysler's first attempt at a muscle car designed for the street was the Hemi-Powered 1966 B-Body!  Up for auction I have one of these fine automobiles!  It is a 1966 Dodge Coronet, factory 426 Hemi rated at 425 horsepower, original dual four barrel carbs.  Believe it or not, the factory plug wires are still on this car!  Engine is mated to the original 833 4-Speed and Dana Rearend with 3:54 gears.  This car is as smooth as glass from 0-100+!  This car equipped with all the rare options, power steering, power brakes and on top of all that, it is black on black!  Find another one like it, you can't!  It is believed to be the only one like it in the Chrysler Registry.  It also is a 2 owner car, bought new in Murraysville, PA and found in a warehouse in VA in later years.  Car has approximately a 25 year old repaint and is believed to be only painted once since new.  It is not a show job by any means but shows very well and has won many awards.  Interior is factory black vinyl and is all original except for front seat covers, glass is as clear as the day it was new.  All the trim on the car is in good shape, some minor dings.  Car has 15 inch American Torq Thrust wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich rubber but comes with factory steelies, blue streaks and dog dish caps.  If you want a piece of American History that nobody's got, this is your chance.  You don't find unrestored survivor cars like this everyday in this kind of condition!  Serious bidders only, any questions you have about this car feel free to call at 336-382-1212.  Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!

Dodge to resurrect Scat Pack?

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

Before social media ever existed, if automotive enthusiasts wanted to be noticed or recognize other fans, they joined a car club. For Dodge muscle car lovers from 1968 through 1971, that group was known as the Scat Pack. Just like the Charger, Challenger and Dart nameplates, it looks like the Scat Pack could be getting a resurrection by Chrysler.
Automotive News is reporting that Chrysler recently renewed its trademark on the Scat Pack name, and while this is in no way a guarantee that the name will return, AN talked to Tim Kuniskis, Dodge President and CEO, who stoked the fire a little more. In the article, Kuniskis said that the name is "a very important part of our history" and added that "we like the whole idea of having a Scat Pack of cars." Scat Pack models were identified by their bumblebee stripes and helmet-wearing bumblebee logo, and the idea of a modern Scat Pack doesn't seem all that outlandish in light of recent vehicles like the Charger SRT Super Bee and the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Concept.
What do you think, is this a cool idea, or is it just an unwelcome bit of nostalgia? Have you say in Comments.

Custom 2014 Dodge Durango R/T proves SEMA can be subtle

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

The annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas can often be a sensory overload of overwrought madness, with cars that don't even look drivable anymore. But every once in a while, a modestly modified show car graces our presence, like the customized Dodge Durango you see here, which, in addition to giving us our first glimpse at the aftermarket possibilities for the refreshed-for-2014 model, proves that a car doesn't have to be slammed, scooped, donked and Lambo-doored to have presence.
Sure, this Durango has custom hood inserts, dark 22-inch wheels and custom fender flares, but as far as external modifications go, that's it. Inside, Dodge has fitted new door sill guards, an ambient lighting kit, bright pedals, premium floor mats and - of course - Katzkin leather. The automaker has even added wireless internet connectivity as part of the excellent Uconnect infotainment system.
Performance upgrades are minimal on this Durango R/T, which comes packed with Chrysler's 5.7-liter Hemi V8. Larger brakes have been fitted, as have lowering springs (though it certainly doesn't look that much lower) and a custom exhaust.

Dodge to reveal Hellcat-powered Challenger in Detroit?

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

On top of all the other performance car debuts slated for next week's Detroit Auto Show, we might be able to add one more to the list - the new, supercharged Hellcat V8 from Chrysler. According to new reports, the rumored 640-horsepower mill is likely to cross the Motor City stage in the engine bay of a Dodge Challenger.
As AllPar points out, though, there may be more news than just the fire-breathing engine. While we've seen spy photos of the Hellcat testing under the hood of the current Challenger, there's a very fair chance that it won't arrive until the muscle car is refreshed later this year. The question now is whether that refresh will be shown off alongside the new engine in Detroit, or if it'll be saved, perhaps for the New York Auto Show.
Other details dug up by AllPar include potential transmissions for the supercharged engine - the Mopar-minded site is expecting an eight-speed automatic or a Tremec six-speed manual. Prices, meanwhile, could be in the same elevated range as the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, at $70,000 to $80,000.
