Stop right there! Put your hands flat on the car and keep your bids where I can see 'em. :)

Welcome to my auction for this unique 1966 Dodge Coronet 440 “Police Special” tribute car. A tribute to the great B-body fleet cars of the 1960's, this Coronet 440 is a real head-turner and a fun ride. This car is complete and totally roadworthy. In fact, this car runs and drives like new.

Despite the car's classic 47 year history, I am only the second owner of the car. This car still has its original 100% rust free body panels, original interior, and power train - it's never been hacked-up or hot-rodded. It's still a really nice looking ride. This car has the bulletproof V8 engine and auto trans along with power steering and air conditioning.

The body and paint look sharp, the magnetic decals (universal style/eBay legal) look great, there's an A-pillar mounted police spotlight, plus brand new BF Goodrich tires including the spare. This Coronet 440 still wears the original body tags and emblems. It gets a lot of attention at car shows and has even won some trophies. Whether you want to use it as a show/display vehicle, a movie production car, a hobby car, or the starting-point for another project, this rare car is ready for more action.

Of course, it isn't perfect - it's a 47 year old car. The sun has taken a toll on the drivers seat in a few places - and it could use a little TLC here and there, but overall this is a great car you'll be proud to own. I have a clear FL title (in my name), so it's ready for immediate no-hassle sale. I would be happy to assist international buyers - please contact me for details (in English please).

I'm a pretty straight-shooter and I try to respect the eBay rules. I trust the winning bidder will understand and be ready to complete the sale without any hoopla. Buyer is responsible for pick up and delivery of the vehicle. Of course, if you have a special circumstance or request, please contact me and I'll try to help.

Here is a list of work that I have done on the vehicle

-Complete new seals and gaskets on engine

-Rebuilt transmission

-Complete new front end (Ball joints, tie rods, etc)

-New gas tank

-New gas tank sending unit

-New fuel filler hose and line

-New fuel pump

-New carburetor

-Complete new brake system (front & rear)

-All new hoses and lines

-New battery

-New 2 1/2 inch flow master exhaust

Thanks for viewing my auction. I hope you like the car and I look forward to working with you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have. Good luck bidding!

Roadkill builds crazy-cheap 1968 Dodge Charger rat rod using an old motorhome

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

Certain requests for description simply cannot be fulfilled, like if someone asked you to describe Picasso's Guernica or Gilliam's Brazil. There is only one appropriate answer to such entreaties, and that is: "You just gotta see it." That's where we are with the latest episode of Roadkill, wherein Messr's Freiburger and Finnegan dig out a 1968 Dodge Charger that Freiburger acquired in exchange for a set of cylinder heads, and intend to stuff it with the big-block motor from a long-bed, three-quarter ton Dodge pickup.
Only the pickup is too nice to tear apart, and the Charger needs a whole lot more lovin' - and parts - than initially expected. Enter, stage right, the Class A Dodge Pace Arrow motorhome with a 440 big-block purchased for $1,000, and a retired Plymouth Fury from a previous episode.
What ensues over the course of the 40-minute installment is more cuttin', yankin', leakin', stallin', hammerin' and smokin' action than you've seen in a long time, and some techniques that would have made even Cooter wonder, "I'm not sure if we should do that." By the end, though, the payoff is good enough to make you think about perusing AutoTrader for a '68 Charger just to see if maybe...

2013 Dodge Dart GT

Mon, 16 Dec 2013

My younger brother bought a Dodge Dart earlier this summer. It's a basic SXT, in Maximum Steel Metallic, with the 2.0-liter engine, a six-speed automatic transmission and not a whole lot else. Unfortunately, at the time, the Dart was one of the few cars in the compact class I'd never driven. I didn't know a lot about it, and therefore, didn't have a lot to say when he bought it. I think the words "based on an Alfa," popped out when I first saw it.
As it turns out, he's grown quite fond of the dark gray sedan, so it was with some degree of enthusiasm that I paid him a visit in this bright-orange Dart GT. I was excited to see what it was about the Dart that he enjoyed so much, despite my tester featuring a different engine, transmission and a lot more tech. After a week with the car, though, I must say: I don't quite see what all the fuss is about.

Chrysler Group moves around execs in wake of recent departure

Tue, 16 Apr 2013

Chrysler is busy shuffling executives around in the wake of Ram head Fred Diaz's departure. The automaker has named Reid Bigland (pictured, right) as Diaz's successor in the role of president and CEO of Ram, though Bigland will continue his duties as the head of US sales and the president and CEO of Chrysler Canada. Bigland first came to Chrysler in 2006 from Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, so the guy knows a thing or two about trucks.
Meanwhile, Timothy Kuniskis will take over as president and CEO of Dodge. Previously, he served as the head of Fiat in North America and has been with Chrysler in one capacity or another since 1992. His old title now falls to Jason Stoicevich, who will also continue to work as the director of the automaker's California Business Center. Finally, Bruno Cattori will take over as the president and CEO of Chrysler Mexico.
Diaz left his position to take over as a divisional vice president of sales and marketing with Nissan. You can read the full press release on the Chrysler personnel changes below for more information.
