Due to non paying, non communicating buyer from previous sale, relisting 1965 Dodge Coronet Convertible. This car now has a 440 cu in engine from a 1972 Imperial with an automatic transmission. Car has not been driven for over three years but runs, drives and stops. Convertible top works (power) and is in decent shape, but not new or perfect. Interior looks to have been redone a while back in stock pattern covers, and is in presentable condition including door panels etc. Has power steering, pwr brakes, dual exhaust. Was dark blue w/ lighter tu tone blue interior originally, now painted a medium blue. Body is very good shape with a half assed paint job. No rust to speak of but right quarter panel looks to have been hit around wheel well and repaired using too much filler and poorly done. Floors perfect..no rust. Underside perfect..no rust. Trunk area excellent as is cowl area and upper dash. Floors and front torsion bar area never repaired..excellent. To be honest, pictures make the old girl look better than it is. Doors shut great and brightwork is decent, but missing a few factory emblems. Please dont bid if you do not have a rating of ten or over. Car can be seen in Akron,Ohio weekdays 9am to 5pm. Listing for a friend but you can call me with questions... Bob @ 330 322 9552... No reserve this time so please bid to win! A cheap start on a popular Mopar crusier. Thanks.

Dodge Charger Pursuit nets quickest lap in police car test

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

We wouldn't advocate trying to outrun the police, no matter what you're driving and no matter what they are. But if you see a Dodge Charger bearing down on you with blue lights flashing in your rearview mirror, you'd better think twice before attempting to flee, because the Charger Pursuit has once again emerged as the fastest police cruiser out there.
In the latest Police Vehicle Evaluation held by the Michigan State Police at Grattan Raceway, Dodge says its new Charger Pursuit AWD posted a lap time of 1:33.85. That's quicker than any of the other law enforcement vehicles present, but also makes it the quickest all-wheel-drive cruiser available to law-enforcement officials. That may not make it the quickest of all time, but that honor belongs to the rear-drive Dodge Charger Pursuit, which cuts a fraction of a second off its AWD counterpart's time with a 1:33.70. But in regions where the extra traction could come in handy, that's as negligible a difference as we've ever seen.
Of course, the annual PVE sessions held by the Michigan State Police take in to account a wide variety of performance tests, including top speed, acceleration, braking, handling, fuel economy and ergonomics. The MSP has yet to reveal its full findings from its 2014 model year tests, but we'll be sure to bring them to you when they are published.

2015 Dodge Charger darts into NY traffic

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

Meet the refreshed 2015 Dodge Charger; notice anything different? You would have to be pretty farsighted to miss the sedan's new Dart-like nose, and it's likely going to be quite polarizing to the car's fans. Gone are the previous furrowed, aggressive headlights in favor of a wider, friendlier look.
While the more rounded headlights and narrower grille are going to be the first thing most people notice, Dodge claims its designers have made changes to nearly every panel on the Charger. The hood dips down deeper at the front, and the doors show off a more angled version of the car's shoulder blister. LED running lights and taillights are standard on all models, and SXT and RT trims get LED foglights. Even though the front might not be as intimidating, Dodge has hung onto the sedan's muscular stance with angular contours making up the rest of the redesign.
Under the hood is the same engine range you've come to know over recent years. Both the 5.7-liter V8 and the 3.6-liter V6 return for 2015, with the Hemi making 370 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque, and the standard Pentestar outputting 292 hp and 260 lb-ft. All models are now equipped with Chrysler's TorqueFlight eight-speed automatic as standard. Fuel economy for V8 Chargers is predicted at 16 miles per gallon city and 25 mpg highway, compared to 15 mpg / 25 mpg last year with a five-speed automatic. All models also come with electric power steering, and the axles are cast from aluminum to save weight.

40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
