1965 Dodge Coronet 500 Convertible 2-door 6.3l Complete - Project - 1 Of 400!!!! on 2040-cars
Mesa, Arizona, United States
This is a 1 of approximately 400 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 Convertibles with a 383 Big Block and Auto Transmission 98,061 BOX A MILES, That is under 100K miles ever! Only 400 ever produced from the factory Please look at pictures very carefully as I have tried to include pictures of everything The car was disassembled by previous owner and taken to shop to begin restoration. The shop went under and the owner received his car back in pieces and gave up on the restoration. The body is not perfect by any means, but is most definitely worth saving. You can see rust in the rear inner fenders, and behind the rear seat in the trunk. If you would like pictures of a certain area, please ask and I will be happy to get it. I do not know the complete history of the car, but it is clear to me that someone has done a lot of metal work, with a lot more needed to be done. The car rolls around fine. I have the original 383 Big Block and the original automatic transmission. These are supposed to be the original numbers matching parts to the car. The only part I've noticed that I can not find is the original carburetor. A list of the major components that are noteworth: * Bucket Seats in Front * Center Console with built in clock (Have multiple console bezels) * Rear Seat also included * No cracks in windshield * All Glass is included save the rear glass for the convertible top. The top has deteriorated *Car was running and driving prior to disassembly for restoration *Clean and Clear title w/ 98K BOX A MILES *All Panels present (Hood, Fenders, Doors, Trunk, Quarters, Bumpers, ETC) *ONE OFF Reproduction Sill Plates Included with Sale (Were not cheap to have made) * You'll notice in the photos there are duplicates of many items, the auction includes ALL of them! This vehicle is a serious project, but it is VERY RARE and worth putting back together. I believe all of the trim, moulding, and emblems are accounted for, but can not guarantee it, as I am no expert on 1965 Dodge Coronets. Buyers/Bidders are encouraged to view vehicle in person as this is an AS IS Sale, All Sales are Final, there will be no refunds or exchanges given. By bidding on the vehicle you enter into a contract with myself (The Owner) to pay any moneys that you bid as well as handle any costs accrued for shipping of the vehicle. If you have any questions or would like to discuss anything regarding this vehicle, feel free to message me and I will respond promptly! $1,000 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 Hours of completion of the auction, with the remainder due within 72 hours of the completion of the auction. Only acceptable payments will be Paypal or Cashiers Check for the initial $1000 and only a bank drafted Cashier's Check or Cold Hard Cash will be accepted for the balance. The vehicle will not be delivered to any delivery service or will it be released until payment is received in FULL! I'll be happy to drop the vehicle off to a shipper, but only at the buyers expense and all arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. Buyer will sign a responsibility release, meaning once the vehicle is in posession of the shipping company, I am no longer responsible for any damages or missing items. That will depend on the quality of shipper you, the buyer select and are willing to pay for. Please ask any questions before it becomes an issue. Should the bidder refuse to pay, I reserve the right to take legal action via EBAY and by Private Lawyer if Necessary, not only for the amount due for the vehicle but also for any damages to be deemed by my lawyer. Of course I hope it never comes to that but I like to have my bases covered. Vehicle is also for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end auction if vehicle sells privately. |

Dodge offering novel 1-year lease on '14 Challenger and Charger models
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Dodge is just days away from unveiling refreshed versions of the Charger and Challenger at the 2014 New York Auto Show, models promising updated styling and new powertrain options. Depending on how you look at it, the company is either so confident in its forthcoming 2015 models that it's offering an interesting Double-Up lease deal on the current vehicles, or it's so eager to clear out existing stock that it's resorting to novel lease deals. In any case, what they present is an interesting scenario, one which allows buyers to get the existing model right now, and then trade up to the facelifted 2015 models in one year.
Starting April 17, when the refreshed cars debut through the end of August, buyers can lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger for one year and exchange it for a three-year lease on a 2015 model next year, with no additional money down and the same monthly payment. Customers can even switch vehicles when the new lease starts. If drivers want to buy the '15, they get $1,000 off the purchase price. To be eligible, both leases must use the same dealership and be financed through Chrysler Capital. The Double-Up deal excludes the SRT versions of both cars and Charger SE models.
To offset the flood of one-year-old models coming back to dealerships, Dodge has struck a deal with rental car agency Enterprise, which has agreed to buy them all. "One-year leases are highly unusual in the industry," said company spokesperson Ralph Kisiel, and the fleet sale deal is what makes it possible.
Fort Worth Police investigating officer for using pepper spray on bikers
Tue, Mar 15 2016A Fort Worth Police officer was placed on administrative duties after video surfaced showing him allegedly spraying pepper spray at a group of passing motorcyclists during a traffic stop over the weekend. An officer with the FWPD pulled over one of the group's chase vehicles, a red Dodge Ram, that was escorting riders in case of a crash or mechanical troubles. The video, shot from one of the motorcyclists' helmet cams, caught the FWPD officer exiting his vehicle and, before approaching the truck, spraying something into traffic at the group of riders. WFAA News 8 spoke with the men responsible for the video, Jack Kinney and Chase Stone, via Skype from Longview, TX, on March 13. "It's the last thing I would expect to see," Kinney told the station. "His intent was to hit the bikers for sure, there's no doubt about it," said Stone. "His intent was to send somebody down, if not to cause a major accident with that spray". As the video went viral, receiving more than 200,000 views in 15 hours, people shared videos showing the group of motorcyclists riding in an irresponsible manner through traffic right before the alleged pepper spray incident. Fort Worth Police say they received numerous calls about the pack of riders from motorists on surrounding highways, with complaints ranging from weaving in and out of lanes to popping wheelies through traffic at high speed. News 8 asked Kinney and Stone if it was possible that the officer felt threatened. "If you're worried about safety, why would you pepper spray a large group of bikers like that?" asked Kinney. The Dallas Morning News identified the officer as W. Figueroa. Worth Police released an official statement about the incident late on the afternoon of March 13. They stated that the officer in question, a six-year FWPD veteran, had been relieved of his patrol duties and placed on desk duty pending the investigation. FWPD Corporal Tracey Knight also made a statement indicating that pepper-spraying drivers in oncoming traffic is not a department-sanctioned tactic. Dodge Dart getting hatchback variant... sort of
Thu, 25 Apr 2013In other parts of the world, Fiat builds and sells a version of the Dodge Dart called the Viaggio, and it appears that in addition to the current sedan bodystyle, a new hatchback version of the car is also in the works. Autocar says that the general manager for China's Guangzhou-Fiat joint venture, John Burton, has confirmed that a new Viaggio hatchback will be revealed by the end of this year before it goes on sale in early 2014.
The Viaggio will soon be joined by the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which in China will be called the Liberty Light, at the Guangzhou-Fiat plant. While the idea of a Dodge Dart hatchback might be enough to enable most of us to forget about the Dodge Caliber, a North American variant doesn't appear to be in the cards. We reached out to Chrysler PR boss Rick Deneau, and he offered a succinct: "No plans at this time."
