I will be adding more pictures later tonite, please be sure to comeback and look for more pics. For sale is a barn find 1971 Dodge Charger R/T project car. Been stored away for years and has only been outside for the last few years. This is a great project for someone whom wants to do easy work and can't afford $30k-$60k done car. This car is missing the original motor and trans, but that could be a plus for you. You can put another 440 in it, a 440-6 engine, big inch HEMI engine or a new 6.1 Hemi to make it a sweet ride. Since your starting out with a real 'U' code R/T Charger, it won't be a clone. This car has the correct numbers on the radiator support, fender tag, cowl, door tag numbers with clean matching paperwork. I have not look for the built sheet, so it could still be in the car. Body on this car is still pretty nice with minor, nicks, scrapes, small dings and dents, one random bullet hole and a couple cb antenna holes. The only rust on this car is about a one inch size spot on the driver side front edge of the quarter panel. There is no rust in the fenders, doors, hood, wheels wells, frame rails, cowl, floors, roof, trunk lid, door jams. Even the trunk has no rust in it! Check out the trunk, paint in there looks to nicer than what's on the body of the car. The black dirt in the trunk is the factory trunk mat that dried out and turned to powder and easily wipes away. The factory red paint is dulled and worn in a few places on the car, but probably could be used as-is til you had the time to paint it, or go for that vintage patina look people are paying good money for these days. Car has all the rare and cool stuff still that makes it so much sweeter Like Louvered Power bulge hood, louvered taillights, louvered doors, trunk lid has factory spoiler cut outs, 150 mph Rally dash, Am radio, R/T badging, bucket seats, duel exhaust, factory sport mirrors, rear window defroster, ac optioned, power steering, power disc brakes, heavy duty suspension, factory 8 3/4 rear and probably a few more items I'm forgetting about. Louvered insert is off the car and stored away. Also comes with factory driveshaft, clutch fan assembly and some misc stuff. Car is pretty good condition for being stored away all those years, I can even push it with one hand and moves around freely. Interior is in pretty good condition too. Has bucket seats and nice seat backs (could use a replacement front seat covers). Steering wheel is cracked, has cruise control unit in the column, buddy seat, very nice top and bottom door panels. Headliner is also nice and the R/T emblem is still in the dash. Could use a dash pad and carpet, but otherwise it's not too bad. If your not in love with the buddy seat, I have included a floor shift power steering column that goes with the car. You can either put in a auto console, or upgrade to a 4 or 5 speed manual trans (4spd conversions rarely ever hurt the values of these cars).Front and rear gravel shields are damaged, I have a new AMD repro cut out rear valance that goes with it. Bumper have good chrome, rear has a dent in it, not to bad. Engine compartment is still intact with wiring harness. A good starting point for a project, without having to replace expensive body panels or missing rare parts.I've taken 120 pics of this car and can not find any rust anywhere and shows how nice this car is. You can click on any photo and be taken directly to my photobucket account to view them. Winning bidder will need to send a $500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end the remaining amount to my Wells Fargo Account or a certified US bank cashiers check. If your local and like to pick up, then cash is perferred and with give a discount of $200 for doing so. Vehicle will not be released until funds have cleared. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I do have 2 guys locally that can ship cheaply to California and Nevada and other guy who to transport to the rest of the US. This car has been described to the best of my ability and is sold as-is, all sales are final and no refunds. Fiat-Chrysler shows its SEMA lineup

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles already previewed its 2014 SEMA show lineup with some slick renders. Now, the automaker has finally showed us the actual cars, and among the group there are definitely some that stand out more than others.
Dodge is really showing off its muscle at this year's show with four concepts that all pump up the power of the brand's models. Perhaps most interesting among them is the Challenger T/A Concept (pictured above) in striking Sublime Green and matte black. It's meant to resemble the classic Trans Am racer from the '70s. Under the hood is a 6.4-liter V8, and to fit the vintage style there's a pistol-grip gearshift inside.
The Charger R/T also gets some attention with the Mopar concept that shows off what FCA's aftermarket performance arm can do. Mods include an updated body kit, cold-air intake for the 5.7-liter V8 and a coil-over suspension kit. Beyond that, the Dart R/T Concept looks a lot meaner with a black hood with duct work that leads straight to the air intake. The rest of the compact sedan is dolled up in O-So-Orange paint and is fitted with upgrades to improve handling like a coil-over suspension and big brake kit from the Mopar catalog.

8 things you learn while driving a cop car [w/videos]

Tue, Jan 27 2015

Let me start off with the obvious: it is absolutely illegal to impersonate a police officer. And now that that's out of the way, I'd just like to say that driving a cop car is really, really cool. Here's the background to this story: Dodge unveiled its redesigned 2015 Charger Pursuit police cruiser, and kindly allowed Autoblog to test it. That meant fellow senior editor Seyth Miersma and I would spend a week with the cop car, and the goal here was to see just how different the behind-the-wheel experience is, from a civilian's point of view. After all, it's not technically a police car – it isn't affiliated with any city, it doesn't say "police" anywhere on it, and it's been fitted with buzzkill-worthy "NOT IN SERVICE" magnets (easily removed for photos, of course). But that meant nothing. As Seyth and I found out after our week of testing, most people can't tell the difference, and the Charger Pursuit commands all the same reactions as any normal cop car would on the road. Here are a few things we noticed during our time as wannabe cops. 1. You Drive In A Bubble On The Highway Forget for a moment that our cruiser was liveried with Dodge markings instead of those of the highway patrol. Ignore the large "NOT IN SERVICE" signs adhered around the car. Something in the lizard brain of just about every licensed driver tells them to hold back when they see any hint of a cop car, or just the silhouette of a light bar on a marked sedan. Hence, when driving on the highway, and especially when one already has some distance from cars forward and aft, a sort of bubble of fear starts to open up around you. Cars just ahead seem very reluctant to pass one another or change lanes much, while those behind wait to move up on you until there's a full herd movement to do so. The effect isn't perfect – which is probably ascribable to the aforementioned giveaways that I'm not really a cop – but it did occur on several occasions during commutes from the office. 2. You Drive In A Pack In The City My commute home from the Autoblog office normally takes anywhere from 25 to 30 minutes, and it's a straight shot down Woodward Avenue from Detroit's north suburbs into the city, where I live. Traffic usually moves at a steady pace, the Michigan-spec "five-over" speed.

Will GM leave Europe? | Autoblog Podcast #504

Fri, Feb 17 2017

On this week's podcast, Greg Migliore joins David Gluckman to discuss the possibility of GM selling off its Opel division to France's PSA (also known as Peugeot and Citroen). They also recap what they've all been driving lately, and the episode wraps up with Spend My Money buying advice to help you, our dear listeners. And, thankfully, no dad jokes this week. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too.
