Up for sale is a extremely rare piece of Muscle Car History.  This is a 1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee with 17596 miles.  The Super Bee was originally just for the Coronet line but in 1971 they made a Charger Super Bee.  This was the only year that the Super Bee model was available in the Charger body.  This Charger Super Bee is equipped with the original, VIN matching  383 300HP motor.  These are confirmed original by the Casting Number/partial VIN Number on the engine block.

Here are a few details about the car.  It is mechanically sound.  It runs, shifts, and drives perfect.  It is equipped with power steering and power drum brakes.  The tires are brand new and the interior is in unbelievable shape as you can see from the photos.   The exhaust system is in fantastic shape. As I stated earlier in the listing, the car starts, runs, stops, and drives as it should.  The frame is rock solid.

Although it is the little brother of the big blocks (440, 426 Hemi) this 383 will hold its own.  The horsepower is documented at 335hp and you feel every bit of that when you get behind the wheel and fire it up.

The exterior of the car is also in very nice shape.  The paint job is about 5 years old but still shines very nicely.  As you can tell from the photos I believe calling this paint job "driver quality" would be doing it an injustice. The car has NO dents at all and only a few small chips in the paint.  the front and rear bumpers still shine very nicely.  The vinyl stripes are all in good shape along with the blackout decal on the hood.

There is a $500.00 deposit due via PayPal at the auctions end (no exceptions unless other arrangements are made prior to auctions end).  If I am not contacted by you within 24 hours of the auctions end I will assume you have no intentions of following through with the deal and I will offer the car to the next highest bidder or sell it elsewhere.  The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early should it sell before then.  I also encourage offers during the auction.  I am open to trades also.  If you have something you want to trade even, trade plus cash, or if you have something really nice I may be inclined to put cash on top of my car to trade with you.  Don’t be afraid to offer.  The worst I can say is no.

Good Luck!  The car is a lot of fun to drive and is extremely rare.  The winner of this vehicle will not be disappointed.

Experience the New York Auto Show by drone

Fri, Apr 10 2015

The Autoblog team recently returned from wildly running around the Javits Center to cover all the news and debuts at the New York Auto Show. Sometimes, it's nice to take a more serene look at the exhibition floor, though, and the event's organizers are providing that exact opportunity by flying a drone through the hall. Combined with the down-tempo music, this clip feels like a form of automotive meditation. If you're going to miss the show in the Big Apple, the drone also provides a good overview at the exhibition floor, especially at the stands from Lexus, Buick, Dodge, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and BMW. Plus, it's a fun way to see some vehicles from a completely different angle than they ever appear on the road. Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles

Mon, May 13 2024

It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.

Dukes of Hazzard reruns dropped amid Confederate flag controversy

Thu, Jul 2 2015

Those Duke boys are in a mess of trouble again, as TV Land announced Wednesday that it will be dropping the classic 1980s action-comedy the Dukes of Hazzard from its roster. But it may not be Bo and Luke's fault this time. Rather, it appears to be the changing political landscape. Entertainment Weekly reached out to TV Land, which is devoted to airing episodes of classic TV series, but it had no further comment. While the network didn't say why the episodes were removed, EW speculates that the cancellation is part of the reaction to the racially motivated murder of nine people in a historic black church in Charleston, SC, last month. The shooter was often photographed carrying a Confederate flag and other trappings of white supremacy. Since the tragedy, Confederate flags are being dropped from state houses, license plates, and toys. Last month, Warner Bros. said it would stop producing toys featuring the rebel flag, including a die cast miniature version of the Dukes of Hazzard's trademark ride, The General Lee, which was a bright orange 1969 Dodge Charger with a Confederate flag plastered to the roof. The same week as the shooting, the Supreme Court decided that states can reject license plates featuring the stars and bars as part of the states' right to free speech. Nine states currently use the flag in license plates, and the ruling will allow Texas, North Carolina, and Tennessee to remove the motif from their state's plates. Georgia is also considering redesigning its plates in the wake of the shooting. For our younger readers, the Dukes Of Hazzard was a television show that aired from 1979 to 1985 on CBS. It feature the antics of the Duke boys in a fictional place called Hazzard County, GA. Related Video:
