A real U-Code, 2 Fender Tag 1971 R/T Charger. Painted in original color by previous owner, GY8 Gold. This is a highly optioned car, NOT numbers matching but retains a 1968-440 with 915 heads motor.

This car is one of 3,011 R/T chargers built. According to 71 R/T registry there are only 6 registered this color. This does NOT mean that this car is 1 of 6 in the world, it just means that its a rare color.

Just finished installing new front suspension and brakes, master cylinder and power booster with fresh alignment. The following are the items competed by us since we purchased the car:

New wiring harness/new ignition switch

New fuel tank/new float and sending unit

New Radiator/New battery Tray

Purchased new gauges and voltage limiter (not installed yet)

New speedometer cable

Paint and interior is approximately 2 years old with minor flaws, not perfect. Good tires. Not a perfect car and still needs a few odds and ends wrapped up like headlight relay, passenger side power windows, and gauges installed etc. Very minor stuff to be completed but nothing keeping you from driving the car. Also, we have some misc. stickers that go with the car.

The air conditioner needs rebuilt still as it is not currently working.

If any questions please feel free to contact me, and I will be glad to clarify anything about this car.

Pick up arrangements will need to be scheduled in advance as we travel for a living.

This car is being sold so we can move onto our next automotive interest. Please make me an offer I can't refuse.

Chrysler recalling 280k Dodge Ram 1500 pickups over axle seizures

Fri, Dec 19 2014

Following a June investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will be recalling 280,000 Dodge Ram pickups from model year 2005. The issue, NHTSA told The Detroit News, centered on a loose pinion nut, which could cause the rear axle to seize and, potentially, the driveshaft to detach. The affected vehicles were built between January of 2004 and August of 2005, while of the 280,000 trucks, only 257,000 were sold in the US market. According to The News, the recall will begin on February 13, and will see owners report to dealerships to have "a retention feature" added to the pinion nut.

Chrysler recalling 278,222 trucks and SUVs over bad rear axles

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

Chrysler has issued a recall of 278,222 light trucks and sport utility vehicles here in the United States. The reason: bad rear axles. Specifically, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the rear axle pinion nut may lack a necessary adhesive patch, which could cause the nut to loosen. If this happens, the axle can lock up, which could cause all sorts of havoc on the road.
This is an expansion of the rear axle recall announced in October of last year, where 44,300 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota models were being called in. At that time, 12 accidents had been reported due to the faulty axle pinion nut.
Affected vehicles include Ram 1500 trucks from the 2009 to 2012 model years, Dodge Dakota models from the 2009 to 2011 model years, and both the Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango SUV twins, both from the 2009 model year only.

Leno recalls '90s showdown with Tim Allen and his mullet

Wed, Oct 7 2015

Not many of us have buddies with garages full of classic cars, but that isn't the case for Jay Leno and Tim Allen. Of course, one of the advantages for two guys with such vast collections is occasionally getting to pit their cars against each other. The two comedians did just that in the mid-'90s with a burnout battle on The Tonight Show between Allen in a race-prepped Mustang and Leno in a drag racer. After some time away from regular television, Leno is returning to the airwaves with a Jay Leno's Garage series premiering on Oct. 7 (tonight) at 10:00 p.m. ET on CNBC. Let this clip serve as another taste of what to expect for the new TV show's mix of comedy and cars. After reminiscing about the old days in a gorgeous garage, the comedians get into two modern machines to reprise the classic challenge – after a little trash talk anyway. Don't worry because the YouTube series isn't going anywhere, though.
