No Patrol Use - Single Owner - Srt8 Exhaust - Upgraded Brakes - $10k+ In Mods on 2040-cars
United States
Summary You are
reading the detailed description for a Dodge Charger Police Package vehicle,
model year 2010. This is the real deal,
and the most highly desired combination for after-market purchase of police
vehicles: a bona-fide factory PPV (Police Pursuit Vehicle) with the Hemi V8, that
has never seen patrol duty. No make-over shenanigans such as adding spotlight
to a standard Charger or trying to pass off a regular charger as a PD version -
check my pics for the column-mounted shifter and 160 mph speedo, you know it’s
truly a PD package. You’re also free to verify the VIN and the vehicle’s
history. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Looking for
a good deal on a great used car that is loads of fun to drive? Want a car that
doesn't have questionable history? Tired of what looks like a great deal on
EBay Motors until you realize it's salvage title, flood loss, or some other
BS? This is MY car. I'm the original owner. This is a single owner vehicle. Garage kept. No smoking in this car. No pets. Ever. No dealers involved. Any questions you have on this car's history, I can answer. I have all the paperwork and records. This is my baby. I don't want to let it go, but I've got to make room for a different vehicle in my garage. I've had lots of fun driving this car around, and you will too! No wrecks.
No repairs (it has been rock solid reliable). Lots of extra equipment. Everything
works. If I listed it in the description, it’s included and it works. No junk. I've
invested well over $10,000 in many extras and enhancements which make this
vehicle one-of-a-kind (read on for the list). Turn-key
solution. Get in and drive. It’s ready to roll. Or it could be a project car
for you. This would also make a great take-home car for a police officer, fire
fighter, EMT, security officer, or similar. Most
significant mods are upgraded suspension and upgraded brakes. This Charger will
stop quicker, stop shorter, and handle better than any other Charger you've
ever driven. This car is
FAST. With tweaked police engine software programming, CAI (Cold Air Intake),
upgraded suspension, it hauls ass. I have law enforcement experience, and I
have driven Crown Vics, Impalas, the Taurus, Explorer, Tahoe - all of them. The
Charger is by far the fastest police pursuit vehicle on the market (especially
this particular car, with the tweaks it has). When you come barreling down the
road, people will MOVE out of your way. Trust me. And you will be amazed at how
others' driving behavior suddenly improves when they see you in their rear
mirror or next to them. Gas
mileage. I average 18-20 in typical suburban driving. I’d ballpark it at around
16-17 city driving and 25-26 on the highway. I get closer to 26 on highway
trips if I keep it under 70 mph. Terms of Sale • Serious buyers only! Let's not waste each other's time if you are not seriously interested. • Deposit (non-refundable) required ($500) immediately for B.I.N. sales or within 24 hours for other sales; payable via PayPal • Full payment due within 7 days. Acceptable payment types are Bank/Cashiers Check or Personal Check. Title will be released 1 business day after payment clears.
• This vehicle is listed for sale on EBay Motors and local publications. I reserve the right to end the listing early on EBay if it sells first on an alternate advertising platforms. • Transportation of vehicle after sale is completed is Buyer's responsibility. However, I am willing to help you locate a reasonable deal if you choose to have the vehicle picked up and transported on your behalf by a shipping company. I'll also work with any company you choose for transportation. I want to make this as seamless as possible for you - the Buyer. You may also pickup the vehicle or have your agent pick it up. The vehicle is currently located in Austin, Texas. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brief History Purchased new from a dealer in Ohio. The dealer picked it up for me at Chrysler. It had 169 miles on it when I purchased it between the dealer driving it to their shop, and having it transported to my home. I used this vehicle as a demo for a business in automotive electronics and law enforcement equipment. As a result, this vehicle HAS been modified to some extent (more on that below). It has performance mods and after-market equipment (electronics). The vehicle has NEVER been driven by anyone but me. This is my personal ride. The LE equipment was installed for demo purposes (sales). The other stuff was for fun. I’m selling the vehicle now as I’m no longer working in that industry. It’s time for my baby to go. It is bittersweet. This car is awesome and has treated me well. FAST. Handles very well. Tight suspension and amazing brakes. You get the whole package with this car (again, more on this below - read the mod section). I’ve maintained this vehicle - as I do with all my vehicles - to keep it in top-notch shape. I only use synthetic lubricants where possible, and I replace fluids well before they need it (see details below). -----------------------------------------------------------------------------Documentation Where possible, I am including all available documentation. This includes the basic vehicle warranty and owner’s manual docs, instructions for the Panasonic Arbitrator camera recording system, after-market wiring diagrams and wire codes (the wires are labeled for easier identification). Panasonic Arbitrator Video Demos: These videos demonstrate viewing previously recorded video on the Panasonic ToughBook laptop. You can see various data points can be recorded, including GPS coordinates, time, date, officer name, shift, and other info. It is possible to watch live video feed from the camera while driving and/or recording video. Note that these required the use of an Arbitrator recording unit, which is NOT included in this auction. If you wish to procure one, I'll be glad to assist the Buyer in doing so. High points • One-of-a-kind • Single owner • Never in service (no patrol use) • Meticulously mechanically serviced since new (upgraded brakes, oil
bypass filter [PVC valve], all fluids flushed and replaced with synthetic -
engine oil, transmission, power steering, radiator, brakes • Privately owned since new

Perks What is different about a police Charger versus a civilian/normal Dodge Charger? If you are a serious buyer then you may already know all this. For the benefit of people who don't, I’ll list some of the differences. Police package Dodge Chargers come with the following additional features not found on the civilian model:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Modifications I have listed this
vehicle's modifications below in the following categories: Cosmetic, Performance, Electrical, Law-Enforcement
(LE) equipment, and Everything Else. The LE equipment has been
either removed or modified to conform to state laws so that an average citizen
may drive this vehicle without breaking the law. If the purchaser is a public safety official, it
will not be difficult to restore disabled parts to operational status. Some parts included with the vehicle may require a full install from scratch in
order to function. I’ve noted the status of each system below. I’m also
offering the buyer free technical support, advice, and will answer any
questions to the best of my ability post-sale. I want you to be happy and enjoy
this car as much as I have. :-) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cosmetic Mods
Performance Mods
Police/Law Enforcement Most LE equipment has been partially disabled or removed. Regardless, if listed here then it is included. The front and rear wig-wags may be returned to operation very easily. Air horn works. Siren capability disconnected but can be made operational with some know-how and wiring and/or installation work.

Imperfections Every used car has some kind of imperfections (heck, even many new cars do). This is a list of ALL imperfections, defects, problems, or anything wrong with this car, that I am aware of. I offer no warranty of any kind and this vehicle is being sold "as is." That being said, the Powertrain Warranty from Dodge DOES transfer to the buyer and is good for 5 years or 100,000 miles. 1. Front quarter panel, driver side. Top of panel, on the crease. There is a small dent (see photo). Hardly noticeable. You don't see it unless you know it's there.2. A few light scratches on the driver side rear door. This is a common area to find scratches on used police cars (especially Chargers). Typically, these are caused by the officer's gun belt sliding against the door panel as he/she enters or exits the vehicle. In my case, these marks were caused by my pocket knife, which has a clip on the outside of my pants. I did notice this issue until recently. They are minor, but they're there. 3. One small nick in the paint on top of the trunk, near one of the antenna mounts. Approximately 1cm or less in length and approximately. Excluded Items (may be shown in pics) 1. Halotron
fire extinguisher. The trunk-mounted fire extinguisher mount/clip will remain,
but the extinguisher itself does not convey. 2. Panasonic Arbitrator recorder (mentioned previously) 3. Satellite radio subscription (you can easily sign yourself up if you want w/Sirius radio). If you have any questions or would like to see any other pictures, please ask!!! |

Ram to go on a Rampage with new small pickup?
Wed, 16 Jul 2014When people look back at today's automotive industry, what do you think they'll remember us for? The emergence of hybrids? Ever more expensive and exotic supercars? The dawn of the self-driving car? All likely scenarios, but so is the blurring of lines between one bodystyle and another, giving rise to hardtop convertible coupes and crossovers of every shape and size. But one bodystyle the North American auto industry has stayed largely away from in the past couple of decades is a car nose and chassis with a pickup bed.
It's a bodystyle immortalized by the Chevrolet El Camino, but with few exceptions, we haven't seen too many of these automotive platypuses in recent years on our turf. Subaru tried with the Baja and the low-volume Honda Ridgeline soldiers along largely unchanged, but the genre's biggest adherents are still Down Under, where ute versions of the Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon live. With a few other examples scattered to the four corners of the earth, that's really about it. But if these spy shots are anything to go by, it looks like Fiat Chrysler Automobiles could be working to bring it back.
Spied undergoing testing in Michigan, what we appear to be looking at is a heavily disguised Fiat Strada being prepared - like the Fiat Ducato-based Ram ProMaster and the smaller Doblo-based ProMaster City - for Stateside duty as a Ram product. The Strada, for those unfamiliar, is a product of Fiat Automóveis in Brazil and is based on the Palio economy car. The nameplate has been around South America since 1996 and was originally designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro (long before Volkswagen monopolized his talents), and takes a more rugged approach in the form of the Strada Adventure.
Dodge, Hyundai crowdsourced-funding sites deemed successes
Wed, 05 Jun 2013What's not to love about crowdsourcing? This idea, after all, has given us Kickstarter as well Local Motors, but automakers are starting to use the social platform to sell more cars (or just drum up a little PR). Both Dodge and Hyundai have used "crowd-funding" recently, and while Automotive News is reporting that neither has racked up big sales with this gimmick, both automakers are pleased with the attention.
For Hyundai, it teamed up with website Motozuma.com to help customers crowdsource money for a down payment, and the automaker matched this amount up to $500. Last year, this helped Hyundai sell an extra 1,600 units, a fraction of its total 2012 sales. That figure is far larger than Dodge fared with the Dodge Dart Registry - it netted only two sales and a small number of individual options. This registry did help University of Southern California fraternity crowdsource $18,000 to buy a Dart for a local Meals on Wheels, however. Despite the low sales figures, Dodge and Hyundai are considering their crowdsourcing programs a success since it helped them connect with younger buyers.
Stellantis wants to outfit cars with AI software to drive revenue
Tue, Dec 7 2021MILAN — Carmaker Stellantis announced a strategy Tuesday to embed AI-enabled software in 34 million vehicles across its 14 brands, hoping the tech upgrade will help it bring in 20 billion euros ($22.6 billion) in annual revenue by 2030. CEO Carlos Tavares heralded the move as part of a strategy that would transform the car company into a “sustainable mobility tech company,” with business growth coming from features and services tied to the internet. That includes using voice commands to activate navigation, make payments and order products online. The company is expanding existing partnerships with BMW on partially automated driving, iPhone manufacturer Foxconn on customized cockpits and Waymo to push their autonomous driving work into light commercial vehicle delivery fleets. StellantisÂ’ embrace of artificial intelligence and expansion of software-enabled vehicles is part of a broad transformation in the auto industry, with a race toward more fully electric and hybrid propulsion systems, more autonomous driving features and increased connectivity in automobiles. Ford and General Motors also are banking on dramatically increased revenue from similar online subscription services. But the automakers face immense competition for monthly consumer spending from movie and music streaming services, news outlets, Amazon Prime and others. Stellantis, which was formed from the combination of PSA Peugeot and FCA Fiat Chrysler, said the software would seamlessly integrate into customers' lives, with the capability of live updates providing upgraded services over time. New products will include the possibility to subscribe to automated driving features, purchase usage-based car insurance or even increase the power of the vehicle with a tune-up to add horsepower. As a baseline, Stellantis generates 400 million euros in revenue on software-generated services installed in 12 million vehicles. To meet the targets, Stellantis will expand its software engineering team of 1,000 to 4,500 in North America, Asia and Europe. More than 1,000 of the expanded team will be retrained in house. Stellantis also announced a new partnership with Foxconn to develop semiconductors to cover 80% of the companyÂ’s needs and simplify the supply chain. The first microchips from the partnership are targeted to be installed in vehicles in 2024.
