1972 Dodge Charger Se 440 4 Speed Posi on 2040-cars
Hudsonville, Michigan, United States
This car left the factory as a Dodge Charger SE with 400 engine, 4 speed manual transmission, and a 3:23 Sure Grip rear end. The original motor was removed prior to my purchase in 1999, as the original motor was not under the hood, I had a 70 440 built at CD's Engine Service Inc., in Hudsonville MI, the transmission was torn down and all new bearings, synchronizers, seals, the clutch, pressure plate and resurfacing the flywheel was also replaced at same time. TTI 2 1/2" exhaust with new tips was also installed, also installed a PolygraphiteŽ Performance Super Front End Kit, all this happened Fall 2012 thru Spring 2013. The car has front and rear sway bars, AM Radio, center console, power steering, and power brakes. The original 2 row radiator was replaced with an aluminum radiator, aluminum shroud and an electric fan added to the bumper side of radiator to assure vehicle would not over heat in traffic on a hot day. The car was originally a western car and restored in the mid 90's, only metal work was in lower quarters behind the rear wheels, otherwise all metal is believed to be original. 15" Rallye wheels. Please review photos, I will try to answer questions in a timely manner. I have this for sale locally and reserve the right to end auction at any time.

Dodge shows can-do attitude with grand Can'avan sculpture
Fri, 01 Nov 2013There are lots of ways to celebrate an important birthday, and all of them are well deserved. You can throw a big party, buy yourself something nice, or - if you're the altruistic type - do something for others in need. The latter is how Chrysler has opted to mark the 30th anniversary of its Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country.
Together with hunger-advocacy organization Canstruction, the Chrysler Foundation has built a full-scale replica of the Grand Caravan out of 30,000 food cans in the square at the corner of Yonge and Dundas in Toronto, a ways down the highway from where the real vans are built in Windsor. The sculpture was built over the course of 10 hours by 30 volunteers and was displayed earlier this week.
Now the installation is being taken down, and the cans of food are being donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank, which will assemble them into 2,000 food baskets to be distributed to those in need through its network of 200 food banks across the Canadian metropolis. Check out a neat time-lapse video of the build and the press release below.
2015 Dodge Viper price drops $15k for 2015
Mon, 08 Sep 2014We recently saw updated specs and new trims of the 2015 Viper, but it looks like the folks at Dodge were saving the biggest surprise for last. Prices on all levels of the American sports car are seeing an immediate, across-the-board price cut of $15,000; even 2014 models still remaining on dealer lots.
The new MSRP for the 2015 Viper in its base SRT trim now starts at $84,995, and when the TA and GTS come to the lineup later next year, they start at $100,995 and $107,995, respectively. The move seems like a swing for the fences that might help to quell slow sales.
Obviously, current Viper owners might be somewhat peeved that their investment was just re-priced by the company. However, to assuage some of their concerns, Dodge is giving all fifth-gen owners a certificate worth $15,000 towards the purchase of a new one, which comes in addition to the price reduction.
Detroit 3 small cars lay an egg in latest Consumer Reports reliability study
Tue, 28 Oct 2014Consumer Reports has released its Annual Auto Reliability Survey and the results are, in a word, interesting. While we already covered the score-damaging effects of infotainment systems, there's another big angle to the data that's getting some attention - the utterly dismal scores of the Detroit Three's small car offerings.
The turbocharged Dodge Dart and Chevrolet Cruze, as well as the Ford Fiesta were their respective brands' lowest-scoring models, a stat that's made worse by the fact that the American automakers finished 25th, 21st and 23rd, respectively.
That's not acceptable for The Detroit Free Press' auto critic, Mark Phelan, who has penned a scathing critique of the D3's small car reliability scores, arguing that GM, Ford and Chrysler are "out of excuses."
