THIS IS A FACTORY 383 4BBL 4 SPEED CITRON YELLA SUPERBEE. I PURCHASED THIS CAR ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO WITH PLANS TO RESTORE IT. I HAVE PUT ALOT OF TIME AND MONEY INTO, BUT NOW I JUST DONT HAVE THE TIME TO FINISH IT. I PUT A PASSENGER SIDE QUARTER PANEL ON, REPLACE THE TRUNK FLOOR AND PRIMED MOST OF THE CAR. THE FRAME RAILS ARE ORIGINAL AND HAVE NO RUST AT ALL, NOT EVEN SURFACE RUST. I REMOVED ALL OF THE UNDERCOATING TO DETAIL AND PRIME THE UNDERSIDE. I REPLACE THE 4 SPEED HUMP WITH A NEW ONE. THIS CAR HAD A BENCH FRONT SEAT AND I PURCHASED 71 BUCKET SEATS FOR IT. I HAVE THE ENTIRE INTERIOR OF THE CAR. IT HAD A FACTORY BLACK VINYL ROOF, ALSO INCLUDED THE CROME TRIM FOR THAT. IT CAME WITH FACTORY HIDE A WAY HEADLAMPS. I HAVE ALL OF THAT ALSO, BUT IT IS NOT IN SHOW CONDITION. THE TRANSMISSION IS NUMBERS MATCHING AND I HAVE HAD THAT REBUILT. IT COMES WITH NEW LINKAGE AND A NEW HURST PISTOL GRIP SHIFTER. I HAVE A NEW REPRO FRONT AND REAR SPOILER, PURCHASED FROM YEAR ONE. ALSO FROM YEAR ONE, I HAVE ALL OF THE BRAKE LINES INCLUDING E BRAKE CABLES AND HARDWARE AND FUEL LINES. I HAVE A RALLY DASH WITH TACH THAT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. IT HAS FACTORY FRONT DISC BRAKES. NOW WHAT THE CAR NEEDS.... I DO NOT HAVE AN ENGINE. THE BODY WORK NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED - RIGHT FRONT PASS FENDER (I HAVE TWO) AND VERY MINOR DINGS ON THE LEFT FRONT FENDER. THE ROOF IS DENTED DOWN, APPEARS SOMEONE MAY HAVE JUMPED ON IT, BUT ITS NOT COMPLETELY CAVED IN. IT CAN BE REPAIRED. IT WILL NEED NEW BLACK CARPET AND THE TWO BUCKETS SEATS ARE WHITE, THEY WILL HAVE TO BE REDONE BLACK. THE REAR SEAT IS IN OK CONDITION AND SHOULD ALSO BE REDONE. IT HAS A 3.23 NON POSI REAR, WILL NEED TO BE REBUILT IT HAD BEEN TAKEN APART. I HAVE A BUILD SHEET AND THE FENDER TAG FOR THIS VEHICLE IN MY SAFE. I HAVE SEVERAL NEW DECALS AND NUMEROUS EXTRA PARTS FOR THIS CAR. I HAVE A NEW FRONT AND REAR VALANCE PURCHASED FROM AMD (AUTO METAL DIRECT). I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE 383 FOUR SPEED CITRON YELLA CARS A VERY LIMITED, POSSIBLY AS FEW AS 10 MADE IN 1971. I LOVE THIS CAR AND WISH I HAD THE TIME TO FINISH IT BUT I JUST DONT. I AM ALSO LISTING THIS CAR LOCALLY, SO IF IT SELLS I WILL END THIS AUCTION. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE EMAIL ME AND I WILL DO MY BEST TO ANSWER IN A TIMELY MANNER.

Mopar unveils Dodge Challenger Drag Pak [w/video]
Sat, Jun 27 2015Dodge is going drag racing, and it's doing it with an all-new version of the Challenger for NHRA's Sportsman class. FCA's Mopar parts and performance arm announced the new Challenger Drag Pak Friday, showing off a version with a 354-cubic-inch (that's a 5.8-liter, by the way), supercharged V8 and a 426-ci (7.0-liter), naturally aspirated V8 – both Hemis, of course – that can get the big coupes through the quarter-mile in "the eight-second range." While the two engines deliver similar performance, at their base, they're quite a bit different. The supercharged model uses a cast-iron block, while the 426 has aluminum for both the block and head. That said, both models get customized engine calibrations, and are mated to unique, race-spec automatic transmissions. But drag racing is about far more than just outright power. Mopar significantly updated the four-link rear suspension, adding a four-inch rear axle from Strange Engineering, along with an aluminum, nine-inch third member, while the rear-axle housing has been strengthened in general. Both the rear shocks and front struts can be adjusted for rebound and compression, too. Lightweight 15-inch wheels, meanwhile, are shod in super-sticky Hoosier drag radials, with nine inches of tread in back and 4.5 inches in front. The new Challenger Drag Pak should run the quarter-mile in "the eight-second range." In the cabin, there's an NHRA-spec roll cage, a Racepak gauge cluster, and a handsome pair of Sparco racing seats. Outside, supercharged models get blue decals, while naturally aspirated varieties get black stickers, although there's more to the new Challenger dragster's exterior than just its decals. Mopar tweaked the big-scoop hood, promising it's easier to get up to check on the engine, and the designers also added trailer tie-down straps in both the front and rear. While the dragster was the big news today, Mopar officials also announced the two enhanced Scat Pack kits for both the Dodge Charger and Challenger R/T. The 5.7-liter Hemi models gain an extra 56 horsepower and 30 pound-feet of torque in the Scat Pack 2 thanks to a new cam, valve springs, pushrods, and gaskets. The Scat Pack 3, meanwhile, adds 75 hp and 44 lb-ft, on top of the gains from the lower packages. That should be perfect for drivers who wish to snort in the face of their SRT 392-driving friends. The third stage adds a ported cylinder heads, as well as high-flow manifolds and catalysts.
SRT back to Dodge, Dart SRT, new Challenger, Charger and Caravan's death outlined in 5-yr plan
Tue, 06 May 2014The onslaught of news from Fiat Chrysler's layout of five-year plans continued with Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis this morning, including the unexpected announcement that SRT was coming back into the fold.
After just a few years existing as an independent entity within the Fiat Chrysler universe, an unceremonious press release hit in conjunction with today's lineup of announcements, saying "the SRT family of vehicles will be consolidated under the Dodge brand." Group CEO Sergio Marchionne thanked SRT headman Ralph Gilles for his dedication to the high-performance wing, calling out is efforts in expanding the vehicle lineup and including more customized models. He did not reference disappointing SRT Viper sales today, but we sense there's a bit of subtext.
With the SRT reunion at Dodge, it's appropriate that some of the most exciting product announcements for the next five years have to do with upcoming performance products. First out of the gate will be a refresh for that flagging Viper in 2015, which comes as little surprise.
New Barracuda, Grand Cherokee Trackhawk coming soon
Wed, Aug 26 2015As we write this, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is conducting a major dealership event in sunny Las Vegas. New vehicles are being announced, redesigned offerings are being teased, and promises are being made to the sprawling company's dealer body. And, as all these announcements are meant to be tip-top secret, they're leaking out left, right, and center. Naturally. FCA is telling its dealers all of the vehicles shown at the Vegas gala will be in showrooms within 12 to 24 months, and that the product offensive will include at least 30 new or significantly refreshed models. Some of those we've known about since FCA boss Sergio Marchionne unveiled his highly ambitious five-year plan in May 2014, while we're hearing about others for the very first time. We've reached out to our sources within FCA, and will update this post as we learn more. It should be noted that while we've tried to rely on concrete sources or corroborations from multiple sources, some of the news here comes from people claiming to have been in attendance and posting in forums like Allpar and Jalopnik's Opposite Lock. Unless corroborated by a mainstream source or confirmed by our own sources within FCA, we're listing each item that comes from a forum. Have those grains of salt at the ready. Chrysler Dodge Durango-sized SUV with stow-and-go was shown. A poster on Allpar Forums claims it had a Durango's interior. New Aspen? Town and Country PHEV confirmed (again). A plug-in minivan was originally announced as part of five-year plan. No news on 200 or 300. Dodge The redesigned Charger will use the Alfa Romeo Giulia's rear-drive platform and, according Automotive News, draw inspiration from 1999's Charger concept car. We're wagering the 24-month time frame specified to dealers will move the new sedan's arrival up from 2018 to mid-2017. Jalopnik's Opposite Lock claims two new Challenger models are coming. Challenger ADR (American Drag Racer) and T/A. ADR should appeal to bracket racers and is more powerful than the SRT Hellcat, while T/A is for track rats, just like Viper T/A. Automotive News claims the legendary Barracuda nameplate will be revived as a Dodge. The Barracuda will be smaller than Challenger, offered as both a coupe and a convertible. Allpar claims it will feature modern styling. A Dodge Durango SRT was announced with 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and rear-drive. Sources within FCA confirmed its arrival with Autoblog. Apparently, dealers were shown an example in B5 Blue.
