Welcome to my auction, you will not see another Charger like this for a long time, this is a true barn find. This is a 3 owner 1971 triple black Charger SE. This is one of the nicest rollers you will ever find. It is a TRUE high price grade, special edition, 383 CI, 727 auto, black sport vinyl top, black paint, black interior, black carpet, black headliner, black instrument cluster, optioned yellow stripe, with hidden headlights. The best part about this Charger? There is absolutely no rot ANYWHERE on the car, not a bubble, not a hole, nothing but a little surface rust in the trunk and a bit more on the upper windshield under the weather stripping. That is it in terms of rust repair. The car does not have an engine or transmission, I have looked for the original engine and transmission but the original owner did not keep them. The car also needs new wheels and tires, the current set up holds air for a couple days but are not safe to drive on. There is no carpet in the car, but that does make it easy to see the rust free floor pans. There is some body work needed on the front passenger side quarter panels, but the panel does not need to be replaced, there is also a very thin layer of bondo on the driver's side door that has began to crack. There does not appear to be any other bondo on the car. There are the usual dings and scratched on the body. The seats are in great condition, as are the instrument cluster, there are a couple cracks on the dash pad. There is no frame damage, and the undercoating is still preset on most of the parts on the undercarriage. When the engine was removed no other parts were taken off, so the motor for the headlights and all wiring is still present and appear to be in working order. A little history of This car. It was bought new in Gilroy CA, the original 383 blew up in 1973, the engine and transmission were removed, the car was then parked in a barn until 1983. It was unfortunately out of the DMV's system during this time. It was bought by a mechanic in Lake County CA, The car was given another 383 and 727 combo in 2002, the block then cracked in 2003, the mechanic then removed the engine and transmission and put it in storage. I bought it from the second owner. Please ask any and all questions before bidding (including asking your wife, or girlfriend if you can bid). I can give you pictures of anything you want, just ask. I require a $500 deposit via paypal within 24 hours of the end of the auction and either a cashier's check or cash when you come to pick up the Charger. You can come look at it if you live in the Sonoma County area and I encourage you to do so. I will under no circumstances ship this car out of America, do not ask, this is an American muscle car and will stay in America. I will be happy to work with shipping companies to ship anywhere in the USA though. This Charger is being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. Clear title in hand.
Good Luck and Happy Bidding!

Dodge offers 100 years of solid advice in new ad
Fri, 18 Apr 2014This is a cool ad. Dodge, which is celebrating its centennial this year, recruited some of its peers to see what you should and shouldn't do in life. Of course, some are obvious - don't complain, learn from your mistakes and live for now.
Then again, some are less obvious. Some, actually, are downright awesome. Towards the end, each piece of advice is interspersed with clips of Dodge's redesigned Challenger smoking its tires. Really, this ad feels like it'd be worthy of a Super Bowl spot. This commercial's personal nature is really in keeping with some of the big game's most interesting ads, like the Imported From Detroit commercial, the Farmer ad and Maserati's surprise clip from this year's game.
Take a look below and let us know what you think.
Marchionne may stay with FCA until 2020
Mon, Aug 31 2015We might get to see Sergio Marchionne and his vast array of sweaters in the auto industry for even longer than expected. The FCA CEO suggested last year that he would retire from the automaker when its current five-year plan was complete in 2018. Now, he has tentatively extended that point out to at least 2020. "I can do this for another five years if you push me, right? Beyond that, I ain't gonna do it, and I don't want to," he said to Automotive News. That would give Marchionne a 16-year career at the top from joining Fiat in 2004 to possibly leaving FCA in 2020. Although, take the CEO's statement with a grain of salt because he has made multiple statements about the timing for his retirement. In 2012, Marchionne said he would only remain in charge until 2015, which is, well, now. Those five years might also go quite quickly because Marchionne is a busy guy with the Ferrari IPO, the attempted merger with General Motors, implementing FCA's five-year plan, and many other projects. He's already considering the next CEO, though. "My purpose in life is to find the Kuniskises of the world, the Manleys, the Biglands, the Palmers," Marchionne said to Automotive News, referencing the heads at Dodge, Jeep, FCA North America, and the company's chief financial officer, respectively. "I told them, 'One of you is going to do what I do one day. I don't know who that is, but one of you is going to do it.'" Dodge Viper returning to Le Mans this year?
Mon, Jan 5 2015If you were among the fans disappointed by Chrysler's recent decision to end the Dodge Viper's racing program, we may have some good news for you, as the racing outfit behind the campaign is reportedly working to bring the American supercars back to Le Mans this year. That racing outfit is Riley Technologies, a constructor perhaps best known for its Daytona Prototypes, but it has also prepared its share of GT racers, too. Chrysler charged Riley with leading its racing program for the new Viper GTS-R, campaigned it in the United SportsCar Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Auburn Hills made the unfortunate decision back in March to pull its Vipers out of Le Mans, and then in October to withdraw from the US series, as well, thereby effectively ending the program altogether. Disappointed though it surely was, Riley remains defiant. The North Carolina-based company is planning on taking the existing Vipers back to Le Mans on its own, with or without factory support. The Viper has, after all, proven a capable machine, having taken both the drivers' and teams' titles in the United SportsCar Championship this past season. "With Le Mans, every driver and every manufacturer needs to have their first trip there, and it isn't always what you want it to be, but we did show reliability and did have some pace," Bill Riley told Racer.com. "Since then, we've worked hard on the cars, they're now strong, front-running cars in the US, and we're working with the ACO on the BoP to make sure the cars are strong at Le Mans. They're super-reliable and fast, and we'd expect to be right in the mix with the other cars." Riley has kept the existing support staff in place, and once it secures its driver lineup and sponsors, chances look good that it could represent America well at Le Mans this year in either the GTE Pro or GTE Am class. Its predecessor did, after all, complete a three-year winning streak that saw it dominate the GTS class right up until its withdrawal in 2000.
