1970 Dodge Charger Rt Burnt Orange Number Matching Motor And Tranny C-stripe on 2040-cars
Reinbeck, Iowa, United States
NO RESERVE SO PLEASE BID TO BUY.. An Amazing 1970 Burnt Orange RT Dodge Charger... With the rare C- Striping.. Number matching engine and tranny.. The paint job is approximately 25 years old and it shows no rust.. Rust free...You can stick a magnet around the entire car. I also have a GIANT binder of receipts and documents that go with the car.. This is a very rare burnt orange Charger with burnt orange interior with the C-Striping.. The air conditioning unit is an a box and comes with there car. There is three boxes of additional parts and a lot of miscellaneous bags of stuff that comes with the Charger. Don't miss out as these cars this nice are getting hard to find... The car has only seen a few hundred miles the last several years.. Time for a new home. I picked this Charger up on a packaged deal and I'm putting it out on the market after being with the previous owner for the last 25yrs. He advised the car spent its early years in Arizona and California and he has kept it in a temperature controlled garage.. I don't believe the car has ever been cut and retains original panels and fenders. Its an AMAZING CAR.. A GIANT BINDER OF RECEIPTS AND HISTORY SINCE NEW.. The engine is the original numbers matching motor block. I also have the number matching tranny that's out of the car that comes with the car.. The previous owner placed a TCI auto street fighter tranny in it for now. He said there is nothing wrong with the original numbers matching tranny he upgraded several years ago but was smart enough to keep the original one. The interior is damn sweet. There is one small quarter size burn spot on passenger seat. ( From a shop light). Carpet is new. Backseat is like it has never been sat on. The front buckets are also very very nice. Dash looks great. Dash gauges aren't working. Not sure why. The car starts right up and runs like a beast. Idles like a big block should. When I have drove it she runs great until it gets hot and then it idles low and wants to die at the stoplight. Runs amazing down the road. I believe its the new carb he put on it. He said it only has 75 miles or so on carb and needs adjusted. Minor fix I'm sure for a motor guy an easy fix. I just don't want to mess with it. But the engine does not smoke or knock. It sounds like a beast.. Sold AS/IS with no warranty implied or expressed. The vehicle is 44 years old. I have done my best to describe the vehicle to the best of my ability and shall not be held liable for anything I might not have know. AMAZING AMAZING 1970 DODGE CHARGER RT.. Please email for additional pictures or questions. For sale locally so I reserve the right to end the listing early..

FCA recalls 894k total vehicles worldwide in two campaigns
Fri, Oct 30 2015FCA is recalling a total of 893,698 vehicles worldwide in two campaigns to fix problems with inadvertent airbag deployment, failure of the anti-lock brakes, and stability control systems in the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Liberty, Dodge Journey, and Fiat Freemont. 559,703 of these vehicles are in the US. The larger recall affects 284,089 examples of the 2003 Jeep Liberty and 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and there are also 13,411 of them in Canada, 6,277 in Mexico, and 48,212 outside the NAFTA region. Because of "electrical noise beyond the tolerance of the airbag electronic control module", part of that component can fail, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This can cause the front and side airbags to deploy and the seatbelt pre-tensioners to activate inadvertently. FCA US has seven reports of alleged injuries from this problem. To fix the situation, the Jeeps need their Occupant Restraint Control modules replaced, as well as the front- and side-impact sensors. According to the NHTSA, the replacement parts won't be available until early 2016. Still, FCA US will advise owners about the problem in a letter by the end of December and will send a second notification when the components are ready. The second campaign affects 275,614 examples of the 2012-2015 Dodge Journey in the US; plus 78,148 of them in Canada, 36,471 in Mexico, and 151,476 left-hand drive units outside of NAFTA where it's sold as the Fiat Freemont. On these vehicles, water intrusion can disable the anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control, although a warning light often illuminates when this issue occurs, and the problem doesn't affect regular braking. There are also no reports of injuries or accidents. To fix the issue, dealers will seal the ABS wiring harness and will replace any already affected components as necessary, like the ABS module or the headlamp and dashboard wiring harness. Statement: Occupant Restraint Control Modules October 30, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is voluntarily recalling an estimated 284,089 older-model SUVs in the U.S. to replace their Occupant Restraint Control (ORC) modules and front and/or side-impact sensors, as required. Within this vehicle population, FCA US became aware of seven injuries caused by inadvertent air-bag deployments and advised NHTSA accordingly. The affected vehicles are not equipped with Takata Corp. air-bags. The Company is unaware of any related accidents.
Thieves still love older Hondas and pickups most, says NICB [w/video]
Wed, 20 Aug 2014No one wants to have their car stolen, but a new study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau has some bad news for older Honda owners and pickup drivers. Fortunately, it has better news for drivers overall. The group is reporting that according to preliminary data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, thefts were down 3.2 percent in 2013 (versus 2012) to fewer than 700,000 cars. That's the lowest figure since 1967. That's also less than half of the peak of over 1.66 million thefts in 1991. "The drop in thefts is good news for all of us," says NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "But it still amounts to a vehicle being stolen every 45 seconds and losses of over $4 billion a year."
Honda drivers might not find it such good news with older Accord and Civic models topping this year's theft study. Toyota and Dodge can't really celebrate, either, with two models each on the list, as well. Overall, this year's list was split evenly between foreign and domestic models, which were mostly pickups.
The 10 most likely vehicles to be stolen in 2013 were:
Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker and Mopar '14 Challenger up the retro appeal
Wed, 06 Nov 2013The reborn Dodge Challenger might be getting a bit long in the tooth, having been on the market in its current form since 2008, but Chrysler isn't going to give up on its brutish, full-size two-door just yet. For this year's SEMA Show, the Challenger will be getting a new Mopar edition, as well as a retro-cool shaker hood on the 5.7-liter, Hemi-equipped R/T models.
As we mentioned last night, the Shaker Package will cost $2,500, but includes the Super Track Pak (new steering rack, brake linings, upgraded shocks and 20-inch Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car tires), a $595 option on its own. The shaker hood result in a performance bump of any kind, but the blacked-out, pop-up scoop is a nifty feature that hasn't been seen on a production car since the Ford Mustang Mach 1 in the early 2000s.
The Mopar '14 Challenger (pictured right) follows the cues of previous Mopar Editions, which have included the 2010 Challenger, 2011 Charger, 2012 300 and 2013 Dart. Only 100 Mopar '14 Challengers will be produced, and they'll include the new shaker hood, Mopar's distinctive blue graphics and wheels, and whatever is pilfered from the accessory catalog.
