Classic 1970 Dodge Charger 500

I will do my best to be as accurate with the description as possible: Features: Automatic, Original 318 V8 Engine, Floor Shift Console, Factory Air Conditioning, High Back Seats, Rear Air Shocks, Dukes of Hazzard Dixie Horn, Magnum 500 Wheels, Good Condition overall, Runs Great, Yellow Exterior, Excellent White & Black Interior, California Car, Well Taken Care Of. It is a Clean Title. Vin# XP29G0G162914. We believe it is the original 82k miles judging by our records dating all the way back to 1977. The 1970 Dodge Charger 500 is valued more than a regular Charger since Chrysler produced a limited amount of Charger 500's. According to 1970chargerregistry.com there are only 1,387 Dodge Charger 500 318's left in existence in the world. I have loved this Charger and so will the next winning bidder! I have taken really good care of it, and love this car and love that it is the most desirable body shape of all the Chargers if not of all time. I feel like a celebrity driving it because everywhere I go people look, smile, wave, give a thumbs up, or tell me how much they love this car. It is a lot of fun! I want the next lucky owner to have as much fun it it as I have had! No reserve on this auction!

This is a very original classic Dodge Charger. It has been in our family for over 20 years. It has not been driven hard or beaten up like lots of muscle cars have. We have never changed or added any crazy after market modifications, it has been kept very original. It is running well and I have had no problems with it other than switching out the alternator. It has the original numbers matching 318 V8 engine which has always been running excellent. The interior is stock and in excellent condition. Mechanically it runs great drives great, and always has all the years we have owned it. The a/c will work once the a/c radiator is connected. The exterior is in good condition, its not perfect. This is a California car with very minimal amount of bubbling the size of a couple quarters on the underside of the rear wheel-wells. All in all, it has been a great classic car and has been hard to part with. I have previously had many offers on it when I wasn't selling it but now I finally decided to put it up for sale giving the lucky winning bidder an opportunity to own an amazing piece of American muscle car history. Turns heads everywhere I go! It was also in a Dodge Superbowl commercial. The Dodge Charger, one of the most well known famous muscle cars of all time.

EXTRAS UPON PURCHASE: The CHAR6ER License plates will come with the car. I am also including the original broadcast sheet, the 1970 Dodge Charger service manual, the 1970 Dodge Charger owners manual, an extra set of keys, and the 1970 Charger 500 & R/T Illustrated Facts & Features Manual.

2016 Dodge Viper ACR First Drive [w/video]

Fri, Jul 17 2015

The Dodge Viper is not a comfortable car. Livable, yes. The interior is covered in fine materials. But you still climb over a hot door sill to enter the tiny cabin. And the frequency range of the engine's noises seem specifically designed to cause headaches. What happens, then, if you remove all pretense of civility from a Viper and add equipment solely aimed at improving lap times? You would have the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR. In terms of achieving its purpose, this car is a absolute success. In many ways it's also the most honest Viper of the current generation. Prices start at $121,990 (including $2,100 gas-guzzler tax and $1,995 destination), or $32,900 more than the least expensive Viper. In ACR trim, the Viper loses the under-carpet padding, 9 of 12 speakers plus amplifier, carpet and trim from the cargo area, and sound deadening in front of the rear wheel wells. The parts of the interior still covered add healthy amounts of Alcantara or optional carbon fiber. That weight loss is compensated by the addition of go-fast bits like the giant rear wing (or the larger "x-wing" on the Extreme Aero Package), 10-way adjustable Bilstein Motorsports shocks, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, a rear diffuser, and a front splitter. Total claimed curb weight is 3,392 pounds in Aero trim (standard ACR trim is 18 pounds lighter), which is within a few stone of the rest of the Viper lineup. The diffuser strakes and leading edge of the splitter are removable, made to be replaced after rubbing on track tarmac and make street driving slightly more practical. Not that you'd want to drive the ACR on the street, with the lack of noise insulation and spring rates twice as stiff as the Viper TA, but it is street-legal. Dodge claims the DOT-approved Kumho Ecsta V720 tires on the ACR allow faster lap times than some race compound tires. Our test was limited to on-track shenanigans at Virginia International Raceway. Which is fitting because we wouldn't have anything good to say about driving the car on the street. The ACR is, essentially, a race car sold in the showroom, although with the Viper's 1 of 1 customization program, your custom build can include as many creature comforts as you like. Lined up in pit lane at VIR, the Viper ACRs for our evaluation blur the air with heat shimmer. All of the test cars have air conditioning, but that shuts off at full throttle with a six-second reset.

Daily Driver: 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

Tue, May 26 2015

Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, reviewed by the staffers who drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, reviewed by Greg Migliore. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. Watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: [00:00:00] Hey, everybody. It's Greg Migliore and today I am driving a 707-horsepower Dodge Charger. That can only mean one thing: I'm driving the Hellcat. Naturally, the spotlight feature of this car is the 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8. Makes 707 horsepower and 650 pound feet of torque. [00:00:30] Now naturally the engine sounds great and you can hear all of those horses going out the exhaust in back, which I think the Dodge guys have tuned really well. I think it's got one of the more unique sounds in the industry. All that horsepower will do that, but they've tuned it so there's a low kind of growl, and then it burbles and it's angry [00:01:00], it's visceral. I like it. It's intoxicating. It's different than other muscle cars. It's different than European exotics. I think it sounds great. I'm driving in sport right now which allows me to use the paddle shifters. I think it sounds a little better and the shifts of the eight-speed automatic transmission are a little bit more aggressive. For such a powerful car, Dodge did a nice job of tuning it to be actually pretty drivable. I just took a corner right there and the [00:01:30] steering offers you satisfying weight to your inputs. It's a little bit of a heavier steering, especially compared to some of the earlier generation Chargers. It's sporty, but it's not crazy. The design of the Dodge Charger is a critical element. That's why a lot of people buy this car, is it gives them that muscle car heritage look. The Hellcat has some special design cues that are also functional. You've got a couple of extra air intakes up front, keeps everything cool and breathing, the air flowing through; a nice spoiler in back [00:02:00] that helps keep the aero, and the downforce keeps you on the ground. The HID projector headlights really pop, especially at night, and in back you've got the LED taillights that spread out wide across the back end of this car like some of the great Chargers of the past. This car rolls on 20-inch black wheels with a spiderweb design. I think they look good. They're kind of low-key, which I think is great.

Stellantis and Foxconn's new joint venture will focus on connectivity

Wed, May 19 2021

MILAN — Carmaker Stellantis and TaiwanÂ’s Foxconn announced plans to develop a jointly operated automotive supplier focusing on technology to make vehicles more connected, including artificial intelligence-based applications and 5G communications. Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares said the services that will be developed through the tie-up “will mark the next great evolution of our industry,” alongside fully electrified and hybrid powertrains. The deal brings together Stellantis, the worldÂ’s 4th-largest automaker formed this year by the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and PSA Peugeot, and Foxconn, a major supplier of iPhones. The companies said the venture would focus on such services as infotainment, the integration of telecommunications and computer systems, artificial intelligence-based applications, 5G communications, e-commerce channels and smart cockpit integration. The companies announced a non-binding memorandum of understanding to form a 50-50 joint venture called Mobile Drive, which will be based in the Netherlands and function as an automotive supplier also to other carmakers. The new venture will combine advanced consumer electronics, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) to create new services “that will exceed customer expectations,” the companies said in a release. “Customers today and, in the future, demand and expect ever-increasing software-driven and creative solutions to connect the drivers and passengers with the vehicle inside and out,Â’Â’ Foxconn Chairman Young Liu.
