This a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. The engine was replaced in 1970 with a warranty block that is with out vin numbers on it. I have replace the iner door panels and the back panels. I have replace the top pieces of the center consol and the shifter. I have replaced the gas tank and the gas line front to back. The fuel pump was replaced. The carb was just rebuilt. I just related the water pump and the belts and hoses. The transmission was rebuilt about a year ago. This car has power brakes, Power steering and a/c. All of the lights work in side and out. The head light doors also work. The paint is about 7 years old, Not perfect, But very nice. The carpet and head liner have also been replaced. Not many chargers had all of these back in 1969. This car is in great condition and is also a very nice driver. I do not take pay pal, So I will need the deposit sent over night that I will pay for. This car is insured through a collector car company and the value was set at $35,000.00 with out anyone looking at the car. This car is a $40,000.00 car and would cost alot more then that to make a rust bucket look like this.

On Feb-01-13 at 07:53:36 PST, seller added the following information:

As I said to one bidder, This car is not perfect, That is why I am only asking $33,000.00 I have lowered the price. I loaded 12 more pictures of the car.

On Feb-01-13 at 07:56:38 PST, seller added the following information:

The picture of the dash cluster is the one from the car. ( The face plate is from a 1968 though.) I pulled the cluster out to have it rebuilt, But never had it done. Both clusters go with the car.

Roadkill builds crazy-cheap 1968 Dodge Charger rat rod using an old motorhome

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

Certain requests for description simply cannot be fulfilled, like if someone asked you to describe Picasso's Guernica or Gilliam's Brazil. There is only one appropriate answer to such entreaties, and that is: "You just gotta see it." That's where we are with the latest episode of Roadkill, wherein Messr's Freiburger and Finnegan dig out a 1968 Dodge Charger that Freiburger acquired in exchange for a set of cylinder heads, and intend to stuff it with the big-block motor from a long-bed, three-quarter ton Dodge pickup.
Only the pickup is too nice to tear apart, and the Charger needs a whole lot more lovin' - and parts - than initially expected. Enter, stage right, the Class A Dodge Pace Arrow motorhome with a 440 big-block purchased for $1,000, and a retired Plymouth Fury from a previous episode.
What ensues over the course of the 40-minute installment is more cuttin', yankin', leakin', stallin', hammerin' and smokin' action than you've seen in a long time, and some techniques that would have made even Cooter wonder, "I'm not sure if we should do that." By the end, though, the payoff is good enough to make you think about perusing AutoTrader for a '68 Charger just to see if maybe...

2015 Dodge Challenger configurator has all the Hellcat you can dream of

Mon, 08 Sep 2014

The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has sucked up a lot of air in the automotive news world this summer, so it's good to know that you can actually go out and, you know, buy the sucker. With 2015 models headed for your local showroom, Dodge has seen fit to also pull the wraps off it's latest Challenger configurator, complete with the supercharged Hemi V8 option that we just can't seem to get enough of.
We're still enamored of the $58,995 starting price for the 707-horsepower SRT, but the online tool finally gives us a chance to see just how optioned up our dream super-muscle coupe can get.
Buyers can choose from three interior treatments and nine paint colors, with two hues (Ivory White and Phantom Black tri-coats) coming for a $500 premium. For $1,795 Laguna Leather SRT bucket seats can be added in place of the (very nice) stock chairs, and a fancier infotaiment system with navigation and HD radio runs $695.

Brits recreate iconic Bullitt chase scene

Tue, 13 May 2014

Recreating the famous chase scene from Bullitt has become almost an art form in its own right. We've seen it done in a music video, with scale models and even in commercials. There are few films that are as defined by a single scene as the 1968 classic. Even if you don't know a single beat of the plot, the Highland Green Ford Mustang racing a Dodge Charger through the hilly streets of San Francisco is famous. It's so well known that the Silverstone Classic has created a homage to promote its celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang at this year's event in July.
Filmed around the famous UK circuit, the short film generally gets the key points of the scene right. It even has a green Volkswagen Beetle that keeps reappearing, as in the movie. Unfortunately, its Steve McQueen stand-in looks a little too old for the role. While the video shortens the chase considerably, it's still great to see these '60s behemoths leaning and sliding around the track. Scroll down for a touch of nostalgia thanks to one of the greatest scenes ever in cinema - we've got both the recreation and the original chase seen from the movie waiting for you.
