This 67 Charger belonged to my late boyfriend, who, as some of you may know, passed away almost 2 years ago, leaving behind an astounding collection of cars and parts, which have all been sold....except for this last car. His first car. And undoubtly the best car he ever owned. He bought the Charger when he was 15 years old (yes, 15! He told me that he had to have it titled in his mother's name since he was so young!), and kept it until the day he died at the age of 49. It was always garaged, and was driven very little, mostly when he was younger. He had fallen in love with the fastback Chargers at an early age, and through hard work, which he did until the day he died, he found this one here in Western Pa. It had it's original 383 in it when he bought it, but, not being satisfied with that amount of horsepower, and having been born a gear head, he saved his money and had a custom racing 440 engine built for it by racer D.A. Santucci. It is stamped on the flat pad at the front of the engine block with D.A.Santucci. His best friend, who is still a friend of mine to this day, was with him both when he bought the car, and when he picked up the engine. The engine was built with all possible upgrades and detail to attention that you would expect from a custom
built engine. I never found any specs on the engine build info, but it
is remembered that the horsepower produced was as much as you could possibly
safely get out of a 440 and keep it relatively stock in appearance.
The interior he pretty much left alone, except for adding a CB radio and
a large speaker (he was a music lover too!). Everything works, even the EL
dash. The headlight doors are unplugged and are left in the open position. I
thought about plugging them in and trying them but was afraid after not being
operated for so long, they might stick so left well enough alone!
The exterior is immaculate. All original body panels, no repairs or
rust. There is one or two very small scars that are barely noticeable. The
paint is gorgeous. The underside still has the factory undercoating and even
the trunk (as pictured) could be eaten off of.

that not only takes YOUR breath away, but those you pass just drop their jaws
and stare. You hear it and feel it before you see it, and it is a magnificent
car all around. No, it isn't numbers matching, but it is a car in such
beautiful condition that you will be hard-pressed to find one like it anywhere.

Watch dual-engined Dodge SRT4 do a FWD burnout, a RWD burnout, then AWD launch
Wed, Dec 3 2014There's something fantastically insane about racers who go out on their own and build something unique. Just take this crazy video from last year of a twin-engine Dodge SRT4 at a drag strip that can burn the rubber at either end – or both ends – at a moment's notice. With tires sticking out way past the fenders, a massive cooling system at the front and no back window to speak of, this Dodge is clearly meant solely for speed. Though it's real party trick is being able to spin the front or rear wheels independently. The setup makes for three quite showy burnouts. When it came time to actually get down the track, things got somewhat awkward. Like other twin-engine creations we've seen, the separate powertrains make for some odd sounds and a weird look launching down the strip. 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack
Fri, 24 Oct 2014We all knew That Kid. As a freshman, he was a big kid, overweight but surprisingly strong. Still, he was often picked on for his size. Then, he chatted with the football coach, who convinced him that his true calling was on the team's offensive line. After a season on the freshman squad and a summer of two-a-days, this mild-mannered, husky high schooler returned for his sophomore year as a big, imposing, solid piece of muscle. Needless to say, the same bullies that picked on him were praying he'd forgotten about them as a 10th grader.
That's the V8-powered 2015 Dodge Challenger. It arrived on the scene with a max of 425 horsepower and a bit of a weight problem. It completed its proverbial freshman year with a nice 2011 refresh, where the SRT8 was bumped up to 470 hp, but it still had some work to do.
Enter 2015, and fresh off three months of constant burpees and wind sprints, the newest Challenger is as big and powerful as it's ever been, but it's now got poise and potential, and my goodness, it's fun in a way that Dodge's muscle car has never been.
2013 Dodge Durango R/T
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Not too long ago, Chevrolet got itself into some trouble by throwing the SS badge on just about everything it produced, so I've always been a little hesitant about the seemingly excessive use of the R/T nameplate on Dodge vehicles. For the 2013 model year, every model in Dodge's lineup has an R/T trim level from Dart all the way up to the Durango. Although the R/T name used to signified models made for road and track, I doubt anyone would be delusional enough to assume the Durango - and some of the other models wearing this badge - are suited for any sort of track duty.
Still, when this 2013 Dodge Durango R/T rolled up for me to drive for the week, I couldn't help but take in its big, mean and imposing stance. Sure, if I had my choice of buying any of the Dodge R/T products, the Charger and Challenger would be my top picks for sure, but it's easy to say that the Durango would be a close third - far above the R/T versions of the Avenger, Journey and Grand Caravan.
