For sale I have a 1973 Dodge Challenger. I know you see a lot of these cars for sale on eBay, but you don't see one like this very often. No it's not an extremely rare car or extremely rare options, But it is a car that has not been butchered, hot rodded or changed very much since it was new. This car was purchased by my sister in Arkansas in the early 1980s. The person she bought it from said that they had purchased it brand-new. The car had radiator problems in 1992, so it was parked in the barn where it sat until a few months ago. She wanted to fix it up and restore it, and started working on the mechanics of it. But she's decided to just sell it. The car has a lot of options, was a red car with a white vinyl roof, with white bucket seats automatic on the floor, air-conditioning power disc brakes. The car has several options from the rally package, but it was not an RT.  It has the rally dash with tachometer, it has the road wheels, heavy duty cooling radiator, just a nice clean interesting original car. The car is a 318 automatic two barrel car, I've been told the engine and transmission or original numbers matching, so I believe it to be true. It can be verified for a serious buyer. The car still has original single exhaust that is quiet. It has brand-new 225 – 70–14 white letter tires with 0 miles on them. It has a new battery, new water pump, new distributor, voltage regulator, new alternator, new ignition box, fuel tank, sending unit, fuel grommet. It has an 8 3/4 rear end . The car runs and drives good, transmission shifts as it should, engine starts right up and runs smooth, however could use freshened up.the worst part of this car is the vinyl roof held moisture and rusted the outer roof skin, both front pillars, trunk filler panel, all of which were bought and come with the car. The roof skin will be strapped to roof of car to avoid additional shipping costs. It seems that these cars are either junk for 3k or 20k won't meet the reserve.. Here is your chance to get a decent original challenger with out breaking the bank. The key buzzer, tach, all lights work, even the radio works( not original) I have set a reasonable reserve on this car so bid to win. I will answer all questions to the best of my ability. Please do not ask for more pics if you are not bidding on the car and a serious buyer as that takes time and rarely does the person who asks for ten more pics ever bid on the item let alone win it. I have no problem getting any pics for bidders or serious buyers that have the money to complete a purchase. Please only bid on this if you can complete the purchase. Look at my feedback and bid with confidence! Thanks john

On Sep-16-14 at 05:55:44 PDT, seller added the following information:

I have had several questions asking about the reserve price on the car. Reserve is reasonable for what the car is. The cost of the new roof skin, trunk extension, and both pillar posts, the tuneup, the battery, tires the fuel tank and accessories, is $2000 without any labor. That is something that needs to be considered, that $2000 has already been spent on parts and making it mechanically sound to run and drive. If you have any questions, please ask and I will try to answer them as quickly as possible.

2014 Dodge Durango

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Say what you want about the Dodge Durango, but ever since it came on the scene in 1998, it has occupied its own niche in the SUV market - not too small, not too big, tough, able, not always the best on the road and not always the best off-road. If it were a football player, it would be a tight-end that can block and catch. If it were a hamburger - a double burger with cheese and bacon, but not the Whopper.
As part of a mid-cycle upgrade for what was already a very capable SUV that Chrysler introduced in 2011, and built on the same platform as the Mercedes GL-Class and Jeep Grand Cherokee, the 2014 Durango has gotten some refinements worth noting that have cleaned up its tailoring and toned up its body and powerplant. The result is an SUV that shows itself to be a very good value in a category full of sticker prices that can run away faster than a kid who's been told he has to take ballroom dancing lessons.
Chrysler executives showing us the new Durango made a special point to reiterate that the Dodge brand is not going away, as has been rumored after the company took the Ram and Viper - the cream of the brand - out from under the Dodge umbrella. Turns out Dodge has been the brand attracting the most young people (who knew?) and has a younger average age buyer than Honda. The Dodge brand historically has also attracted buyers who aren't exactly Phi-Beta Cappa, which some companies worry about. Chrysler not so much. Dodge buyers tend to be more the working, high-school-educated, community-college-educated backbone of the work force in America. If they keep coming to Dodge, the Durango is a pretty good piece of hardware to save up for.

Gauging reaction to the 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit on Detroit highways

Sat, Feb 7 2015

Steven Ewing and I kind of pretended to be cops a few weeks ago. No, not in the illegal way; we just took turns driving the 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit around Detroit and its suburbs, learning invaluable life lessons along the way. A lot of those lessons came in the form of weird reactions from other drivers. Steve peeved his neighbors by surprising them in the parking lot, I can damn close to sitting in jail next to a murderer and we both caught our fair share of evil-eyed glances. One of my very first observations was a pronounced "bubble effect" when driving in traffic on the highway. Attempting to recreate the effect for the video camera, I grabbed Senior Producer Chris McGraw and we went for a ride in the name of pseudo psychology. The results weren't exactly as we'd predicted, but we had fun all the same. Get one more dose of your cop car fix, above.

FCA is setting a five-year strategy: Here's how the last one played out

Thu, May 31 2018

We're slightly more than four years removed from Sergio Marchionne last five-year plan for FCA, a tell-all where the Italian-American automaker divulged its plans for the 2014 through 2018 model years. It was a grand affair, where Sergio told FCA investors that all was right in Auburn Hills, Alfa Romeo and Maserati were making comebacks, and the fifth-gen Dodge Viper received a mid-cycle refresh. You can read every last one of those past predictions right here. We're on our way to Europe to see Sergio's sequel, coming out Friday straight from FCA's Italian headquarters. (Bloomberg reports a plan to expand Jeep and Ram globally, combine Alfa Romeo and Maserati into a single division for an eventual spinoff, and downsizing Fiat and Chrysler. Also, EVs.) But before we arrive in Italy and find out exactly what Marchionne has planned for 2019 through 2023 as his last act as CEO, let's take a minute to tally up the results of his last term based on the same scoresheet we used in 2014. Now, we're only five months into 2018, so much of this — including vehicles like the Ram HD and Jeep Grand Wagoneer — could still debut this year. For those, we'll mark things TBD. We're not going to draw any conclusions or make any objectionable remarks. We're simply going to let the stats speak for themselves.
